A new study looked at unique natural wonders you can’t find anywhere else in some of the most extraordinary places on the planet to rank 10 that are “actually worth a visit.”

Titan Travel — a travel agency that offers escorted tours across the globe — looked into the popularity of world-famous natural wonders on Instagram and TikTok, as well as Google search volumes and Tripadvisor to “reveal which natural wonders of the world are the best,” the company said. Two natural wonders in the United States made the list.

“While plenty of countries offer spectacular man-made sights like the Egyptian Pyramids, Machu Picchu or the Great Wall of China, it's the natural wonders that only a few people will ever get to see in their life that truly fill us with awe,” the company stated.

This vibrant city, rich in history, where friendly locals mingle with visitors in cozy coffee shops, lively bars, and charming boutiques, is an absolute gem. And it couldn't be easier to get to from Seattle. While the tourist season, from mid to late summer, can get quite busy, mid to late spring offers a sweet spot when the town is active but not overwhelmed with visitors. With a short and direct flight from Seattle (less than 1.5 hours) or a scenic drive (around 8.5 hours), now is the perfect time to book your trip!

The pace in Whitefish feels slower and more intentional—it’s almost like you have permission to press pause and really soak in the stunning views and fresh air. There are endless outdoor activities, local eateries ranging from casual to refined, and if you really want to live like a local, you can do that too. Here are three ways to explore Whitefish right now.

If you’re heading to Whitefish, the mountains are likely calling you, and for good reason. The springtime beauty of Montana and the charm of Whitefish will surpass all expectations.

Glacier National Park

For outdoor enthusiasts, Glacier National Park is a must-visit. This majestic expanse of rugged mountains, pristine lakes, and abundant wildlife offers endless adventure opportunities. If time allows, stop by the Lake McDonald Lodge for lunch. We spotted mule deer here, and my kiddos were overjoyed! You could literally spend your entire trip exploring all the wonders of Glacier.

Bike to City Beach for a relaxing day by the lake. The beach features sandy shores and picnic areas, making it a great spot for families.

Take a gondola ride or chairlift to the top of the mountain at Whitefish Mountain Resort . The gondola ride offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, valleys, and Whitefish Lake. The Alpine Slide was a huge hit with my family, there's also zip line tours, an aerial park adventure and more offered here.

At the base of Spencer Mountain, nestled between two pine-covered ridges, there are over three thousand beautiful acres available for horseback riding and outdoor activities.

Join a guided trail ride through the woods and open meadows. The skilled wranglers at Bar W ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, whether you’re an experienced rider or a beginner. I did a trail ride with my 8-year-old daughter, and this was a highlight of our trip! In addition to horseback riding, the ranch offers activities such as fishing, archery, and cattle sorting. These activities provide a hands-on way to experience the ranch lifestyle. Not only does the Bar W Guest Ranch offer all this, but you can also stay there! There are three types of lodging packages. • Latitude 48 + Red Room Lounge : Offering a fusion of global flavors and a sophisticated dining experience.
• The Lodge at Whitefish Lake : A beautiful spot with great food and stunning views of the lake. I loved everything I tried here, the service was great, and they have live music on select nights.
• Swift Creek Café : A favorite among locals for breakfast and lunch.
