With temperatures ranging between 28 to 35 degrees, Zanzibar is a year-round destination. June to October is when the island experiences the cooler & dryer months of spring & is also great for scuba diving on the north coast. Diving off the south coast is best during November to Mid- March. The rainy season mostly takes place mid-March to late May.

Getting Around

Taxis are available at the airport & on the island, but we strongly recommend pre-booked private transfers. Driving is on the left & renting a car to discover the island at your own pace is an option, but be prepared to drive through some rough ,crowded, narrow one-way lanes. Night-time driving is not recommended as many roads are not well-lit.

In Zanzibar, life moves pole pole – Swahili for slow. It’s important to enjoy the calm chaos & take a cue from the unhurried pace. Your smoothie might take 45 minutes to show up, but it will be delicious & worth the wait. Lazuli, a tiny but wonderful restaurant in Stone Town is a good place to experience this.
