“Getting all shows rescheduled was the number one priority,” said Live Nation in a statement. “Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts, a few shows noted below will be canceled. Madonna regrets the inconvenience to fans and hopes to make it up to those markets in the future.”
The previously scheduled European dates are slated to begin on Oct. 14 in London and will visit different cities across the European mainland for seven weeks before concluding with two more London dates on Dec. 5 and 6.
The North American tour was originally scheduled to begin July 15 in Vancouver and rehearsals were nearing completion, but the singer was rushed to the hospital on June 24 due to an unspecified “serious bacterial infection” that led to a several-day stay in an intensive care unit, according to an Instagram post from her manager Guy Oseary .
In another post shared on the singer’s Instagram in late July, Madonna shared gratitude for her fans, team and family and said she “realized how lucky I am to be alive.”
“Love from family and friends is the best medicine,” she wrote in a caption to a photo carousel of her with family and friends. “One month out of the hospital and I can reflect. As a mother you can really get caught up In the needs of your children and the seemingly endless giving… But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference. So did the love and support from my friends.”

Madonna’s wildly anticipated new tour opens in London at the O2 Arena on Saturday (Oct. 14) night. The Celebration Tour covers four decades of classics from the Queen of Pop’s culture-shifting career.
Originally set to kick off July 15 in Vancouver, B.C., the tour’s start was postponed after a “serious bacterial infection” put Madonna in the hospital for several days in June. The new dates find the fully recovered pop star opening the tour with six shows in London, a city Madge once called her home away from home.
While fan speculation as to what the tour will entail is all over social media (and we’ve certainly indulged ), we do know a few things about The Celebration Tour so far.
In an interview with the BBC , Stuart Price – the tour’s musical director (and co-producer of her 2005 classic Confessions on a Dance Floor ) – said the trek will incorporate 40 of her iconic hits but clarified that doesn’t always mean songs. “A greatest hit doesn’t have to be a song. It can be a wardrobe, it can be a video or a statement.”
And some of those songs will pop up in the form of the OG studio recordings. “There are live musicians that perform at different parts of the show,” Price told the BBC. “But what we realized is that the original recordings are our stars. Those things can’t be replicated and can’t be recreated, so we decided just to embrace that.”
Additionally, reps for Madonna have provided some fresh details into what attendees of Madonna’s The Celebration Tour can expect. Below, find 13 by-the-numbers facts about the Queen of Pop’s new tour.

Madonna announces her rescheduled Celebration tour dates
Madonna has announced her rescheduled Celebration tour dates in North America.
On Aug. 15, the music icon and Live Nation announced in a press release that the dates for the North American leg of her greatest hits tour, which was supposed to begin last month, have been rescheduled.
Live Nation revealed that the pop superstar’s Celebration tour will now kick off stateside following her United Kingdom and Europe dates. She will play some of her biggest hits on opening night of the American leg Dec. 13 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“Tickets for the previously scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates,” the press release said, except for one show in New York City and six shows in Los Angeles.
However, there are some shows that could not be rescheduled at all due to a change in venue or scheduling conflicts. The following shows have been canceled: July 27 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; Dec. 22 in Nashville; Jan. 15 in San Francisco, Jan. 18 in Las Vegas; and January 20 in Phoenix, Arizona.
“Madonna regrets the inconvenience to fans and hopes to make it up to those markets in the future,” the press release continued.
Fans who purchased tickets to those shows will be issued refunds at the original point of purchase.
Why was her tour rescheduled?
Madonna decided to postpone her tour less than one month out from when it was supposed to begin due to a hospitalization.
In June, the “Material Girl” singer spent multiple days in the intensive care unit after battling a “serious bacterial infection,” her manager, Guy Oseary, informed fans at the time.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several-day stay in the ICU,” he wrote in an Instagram post on June 28. “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”
He continued, “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”
Madonna's Celebration tour, which will highlight four-decades worth of music, was originally supposed to start on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada.
On July 10, Madonna shared a health update on Instagram .
“My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children,” she wrote. “My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I didn’t want to disappoint anyone.”
She told her fans she would prioritize her health so she could get back on stage as soon as possible.
New tour dates
Most of the shows have been rescheduled to a new date at the same venue, but a few shows will be performed in a different location. Fans who bought tickets to the Madison Square Garden concert in New York City for Aug. 27 will have “an exclusive opportunity” to buy tickets to a new performance added to the tour at Barclays Center on Dec. 16, the press release said.
Fans who had tickets for Los Angeles shows on Sept. 27, Sept. 28, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 at Crypto.com Arena and on Jan. 7 and Jan. 8 at Kia Forum will be able to purchase tickets for newly added dates at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California on March 4, March 5, March 7, March 9 and March 11.

Madonna reveals rescheduled Celebration tour dates for 2024 after bacterial infection
Bob the Drag Queen will accompany Madonna for the new set of dates.
There's finally a ray of light at the end of Madonna 's health scare, as the pop icon has revealed her rescheduled Celebration tour dates after suffering an infection in June.
After postponing the first leg of her Celebration world tour amid hospitalization in the intensive care unit , the 64-year-old revealed Tuesday that the initial North American portion of the concert series will now take place in early 2024, kicking off on Jan. 8 in Massachusetts and concluding on April 21 in Mexico.
Scheduling conflicts, however, forced the cancellation of several dates, including July 27 in Tulsa, Dec. 22 in Nashville, Jan. 15 in San Francisco, Jan. 18 in Las Vegas, and Jan. 20 in Phoenix.
Madonna also moved a summer date originally set for Aug. 27 at New York City's Madison Square Garden to a block of previously announced December 2023 dates at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
Fans holding tickets to the previously scheduled Madison Square Garden concert will have "an exclusive opportunity to purchase tickets to the newly added Barclays Center performance," according to a press release, which also notes that tickets for the original show will be refunded by Monday, Aug. 28. Ticketmaster is expected to send affected purchasers with a link and a code based on their earlier seat locations. The advance sale begins Tuesday, Aug. 29 and runs through Thursday, Aug. 31. A similar system will be used for fans with tickets to the postponed Crypto.com Arena shows in Los Angeles.
All other tickets from the original shows will be honored at the rescheduled dates.
The postponed dates come two months after Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, revealed that the superstar contracted a "serious bacterial infection" that prompted her to delay the highly anticipated tour, which EW has confirmed will still embark with special guest, RuPaul's Drag Race winner Bob the Drag Queen .
"On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected," he said in a statement. "At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows."
Amid statements of support from friends like Debi Mazar and Rosie O'Donnell , Madonna gave fans an update on her health via an emotional social media post in July.
"Thank you for your positive energy, Prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I'm on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life," she wrote on Instagram . "My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn't want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone."

The original tour dates were postponed following Madonna’s hospitalization in June for a serious bacterial infection, which her longtime manager Guy Oseary confirmed in a June 28 Instagram post .
"On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which [led] to a several day stay in the ICU. Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected," Oseary said in the Instagram post. "At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour ."
The morning after Oseary's post, PEOPLE confirmed Madonna had returned home and was continuing her recovery. "She's feeling better and following doctor's orders and resting," said a source close to the singer.
She's since been spotted out and about in New York City — and with her daughters at the Renaissance Tour . On Aug. 5, Madonna announced the new tour dates were on their way.
“Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over these past few weeks!” she wrote. “I’m happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days!”

For over four decades, there’s been one name that exemplified music superstardom: Madonna . From her breakthrough singles in the 1980s like “Holiday,” “Lucky Star,” and “Like A Virgin,” to her reinventions with “Vogue,” “Justify My Love,” and “Take A Bow” in the early 1990s, to the dance-fueled explosion of “Ray Of Light,” “Music,” “Hung Up” and more early 2000s hits, Madonna has remained a relevant music force to this very day. This music icon continues to top charts and get people into the groove and will spotlight her legendary career with 2023’s Madonna: The Celebration Tour .
This career-spanning retrospective will hit 35 cities across the world in 2023 and 2024. The tour was first announced on Jan. 17 with a special video that paid homage to Madonna’s 1991 movie, Madonna: Truth Or Dare . The black-and-white video had Madonna sitting at a table along with stars like Amy Schumer , Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob The Drag Queen , Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Meg Stalter , and Eric Andre. After a round of dares, including Diplo getting spicy with a margarita and Kate planning a 12-hour date, it’s Amy’s turn. “Madonna, I dare you to do a world tour and play your greatest m*********** hits,” Amy said to the music icon.
“Four decades?” asked Madonna. “As in forty years? As in, all those songs?” Everyone then joined in an acapella singalong to Madonna’s “La Isla Bonita.” When reassured that fans would come to that tour, the Material girl was left with only one response to the dare: “F*** yeah!” “I am excited to explore as many songs as possible, in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for,” said Madonna in the tour’s announcement.
Most recently, Madonna had to postpone the North America shows of the highly-anticipated tour on June 28, 2023, due to her hospitalization and health scare . Her talent manager, Guy Oseary , took to Instagram that day to reveal that the 64-year-old had contracted a bacterial infection and was on the road to recovery.

“On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU,” he wrote in a statement. “Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. However, just over a month later, Madonna returned to Instagram on August 5 to announce that as she continued to recuperate, the discussions were underway to reschedule all of the dates postponed. “Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over these past few weeks!” Madonna wrote in an Instagram Story . “I’m happy to report that the re-routed tour schedule will be coming in the next few days! See you soon for a well deserved Celebration!!” Madonna announced the dates for the rescheduled North America shows on August 15.
Days before her opening show in London, a press release confirmed that Madonna would be joined on stage by four of her children.

Those cardmembers will obtained access to presale tickets for shows going “on sale Jan. 20th beginning Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 2 pm local time through Thursday, Jan. 19 at 6 pm local time through the Citi Entertainment program,” the tour announcement stated. “The Citi cardmember presale for the shows going on sale on Jan. 27 will begin Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 10 am local time through Thursday, Jan. 26 at 6 pm local time.”
Legacy members of Madonna’s Official Fan Club also had a presale opportunity for the shows that went on sale on Friday, Jan. 20, beginning Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 12pm ET through Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 5 pm ET for the North America based shows and from 9 am GMT/10 am CET to 5 pm GMT/6 pm CET on Wednesday, Jan.18 for UK and European shows. An additional Legacy presale for the North American-based shows going on sale on Jan. 27 began on Monday, Jan. 23 (10 am) and through Wednesday, Jan. 25 (5 pm).
On July 10, LiveNation revealed that the North America leg of Madonna’s tour was postponed. “Rescheduled dates will be announced as soon as possible. Fans are encouraged to hold onto their tickets as they will be valid for the new dates once announced,” Live Nation said. The Celebration Tour will kick off in Europe on October 14. Madonna also addressed the rescheduled shows in a statement on her Instagram. “My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone,” she wrote. “My current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and begin in October in Europe.”

Madonna officially announced the dates for the rescheduled North America shows on August 15, 2023. LiveNation released a statement saying, “Excitement has been mounting with Madonna’s post that the North America rescheduled dates would be announced shortly. Today, Live Nation is pleased to confirm that most of the North America dates of Madonna’s Celebration Tour have been rescheduled and will take place immediately following the originally announced UK and Europe dates. Tickets for the previously scheduled shows will be honored on the new dates. This includes all dates except Los Angeles and one date in New York due to a venue change.” LiveNation also revealed that several shows in Tulsa, Nashville, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Phoenix are canceled.
When Madonna first announced The Celebration Tour , she noted that RuPaul’s Drag Race winner and drag performer extraordinaire, Bob The Drag Queen, would be a special guest “across all dates on the global tour.” Expect Bob to bring her trademark stand-up humor to the stage and any additional acts that may be announced before the tour kicks off.

Madonna has announced the rescheduled dates for her forthcoming Celebration tour.
The “Holiday” singer had been forced to cancel the North American leg of her world tour earlier this year after contracting a bacterial infection .
Madonna’s tour will now begin with four sold-out shows in London’s O2 arena later this year.
A press release states: “Getting all shows rescheduled was the number one priority. Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflicts a few shows noted below will be canceled.
“Madonna regrets the inconvenience to fans and hopes to make it up to those markets in the future.”
The North American leg of the tour will now commence on 13 December 2023 at Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center, following a run of European dates.
Ticketmaster will be contacting fans who held tickets before the postponement to offer them dedicated links and unique codes, based on previous seat locations, to purchase tickets to the new Barclays Centre dates.
Advance sales begin on Tuesday 29 August and run until 31 August. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the public on Friday 1 September at 10am ET.

Supergrass announce new tour - and take swipe at Oasis on dynamic pricing
The 90s britpop stars have announced a tour in celebration of the 30th anniversary of i should coco - and fans will be pleased to hear their stance on dynamic pricing.
- 13:43, 16 SEP 2024
90s Britpop legends Supergrass have announced a new UK tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal debut I Should Coco.
And the band couldn't resist a cheeky dig at their fellow 90s Britpop band Oasis when it came to announcing their gigs. For they said: "Dynamic pricing won't be included" - a nod to the dramas around the flexible ticketing prices that emerged after tickets went on sale for Oasis's reunion tour.
Supergrass, made up of Gaz Coombes , Mick Quinn , Danny Goffey and Rob Coombes, are considered one of the most important bands to emerge during the 1990s.

Having split in 2010, the band temporarily reformed in 2019 before Covid brought a halt to a wider world tour. Now, they've announced they will be back in 2025 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their chart-topping and much-acclaimed debut album I Should Coco and tickets will go on sale this week .
Throughout May 2025, Supergrass will play venues in Glasgow, Nottingham, Sheffield, Newcastle, Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff and Leeds, concluding at London’s Roundhouse. Following that, they head to the south-west for an appearance at The Great Escape Festival in Cornwall.
Fans will get the chance to see I Should Coco performed in full, before an encore of the bands greatest hits. Speaking further on the shows, Mick Quinn said: "15th May 2025 marks 30 years since 'I Should Coco'. Supergrass are thrilled to announce their return to perform the début album live, in its entirety, for the first time. Dynamic pricing not included."
The band formed in Oxford in 1993, and in 1995 Supergrass’s Mercury-nominated debut album I Should Coco hit the charts at Number 3, rose to Number One in the week following Glastonbury and ended up shifting over 500,000 copies in the UK and a million worldwide.
The album features classic tracks, ‘Alright’, and ‘Caught By the Fuzz’, sustaining huge cultural influence 30 years on from release. It was ‘Alright’, the band's fourth-single, and pop masterpiece, that catapulted them to global success. ‘I Should Coco’ now stands at over 1 million sales worldwide, and impressively, is the biggest-selling Parlophone debut album since The Beatles.
How to get tickets and is there a pre-sale?
Pre-sale will be available from 10am Wednesday, 18th September for fans signing up with Supergrass' website here . Tickets then go on general sale from 9am Friday, 20th September. Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster here .
