I attended the brunch cruise on Easter Sunday aboard the Lady of the Lake yacht on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC. It was such an amazing experience! The brunch food was excellent! The cocktails were amazing! I ate indoors on the yacht with amazing views of the lake and lots of boats in the water...sail boats, speed boats, catamarans, etc. The Captain of the yacht, the servers, the cooks and bartenders were extremely nice and accommodating! I will be doing this again! I'll likely try the dinner cruise with live entertainment.

We took the sunset cruise and let me just say the service from the workers was absolutely wonderful. The drinks were great and affordable. Views as you can see in the pictures were great. Would definitely recommend everyone try this at least once while in Hawaii

Lady of The Lake. This experience was everything! Well worth the money. Beautiful place. The food was well seasoned and delicious. The staff was nice and professional. Especially our bartender Thomas he rocks and make awesome drinks. The only bad thing I can say is the music was only geared towards the really older crowd and I'm 51. But there was not a good mix of music for everyone. And alot of real slow music no upbeat music.But the ride was stunning. We will do again.

A great place for a day out on the lake. I did the Easter brunch ride on lady of the lake and it was amazing. Food was delicious, drinks were wonderful and the whole atmosphere was fantastic. Great customer service as well. We had the perfect weather too so it worked out completely. Highly recommend doing one of their tours.

Lake Norman is conveniently situated only 30 minutes north of Charlotte and is the largest man-made lake in the Carolinas. It is 34 miles long with more than 500 miles of shoreline. Queens Landing Sightseeing & Dinner Cruises is located in Mooresville and offers you two ships to choose from for your dinner cruise: one elegant and one a bit more casual.

The Lady of the Lake

The Lady of the Lake is a 95-foot luxury yacht that offers an elegant, romantic dinner cruise that lasts more than two hours.

Passengers will experience full-service bars, fine dining and enclosed salons on the upper and lower levels, along with exquisite views of the lake and outstanding service. Cruises are offered year-round and dinners have included salmon, surf and turf, salads, side dishes and outstanding desserts. Menus change regularly.

Cruise schedules vary by season, although dinner cruises are generally offered Fridays with a boarding time of 6:30 p.m., plus Saturdays and Sundays with boarding times of 5:00 p.m. It is strongly suggested that you call for reservations and times.

Prices for the dinner cruises range from $87 for adults and $81 for seniors, tax and gratuities included. For an additional $225, you get the VIP treatment, which includes separate, private seating, a bottle of Dom Pérignon, special service, and more. You can also order chocolate covered strawberries for dessert at an additional cost.

The Catawba Queen

The Catawba Queen offers the nostalgic treat of dinner on a Mississippi riverboat. Although popular with families, this cruise also provides a step back in time to a more romantic era.

Dinners are buffet style, from salads to desserts, and the cost is around $76 for adults and $69 for seniors, taxes and gratuities included. You share tables with other diners. Boarding times are 6 p.m. Fridays, and 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.

Like the Lady of the Lake, $225 VIP dinners are also available aboard the Catawba Queen. This includes private seating, a bottle of Dom Pérignon, and special service, as well as the option for chocolate covered strawberries for dessert (six for $22 or 12 for $40).

Lake Hickory, Central

Lake Hickory Adventures offered the first (and only) dinner, party and private charter boat cruises on Lake Hickory in Hickory, NC in the central state region. The yachts have restrooms, outdoor and indoor seating, and even fireside dining in cooler weather. Live entertainment is aboard, and menus include steak, seafood, Italian, and other specialties, varying by date.

Tickets are $59, not including tax and gratuities, with discounts for clergy, seniors, and other groups. Romantic evenings include Valentine's Day , with dinner for two for around $70 each, plus holiday caroling tours. Note that the ship does not sell or provide wine or liquor, but passengers 21+ may bring their own drinks.

Crystal Coast Lady Cruises, Northeast

North Carolina's Crystal Coast offers stunning seascapes, sunsets, and romance. Lookout Cruises cordially invites you for a splendid two-hour sunset cruise that provides a gourmet buffet along with breathtaking views of water and sky.

Dinner Cruise Considerations

Nothing is more fun than a romantic cruise, and nothing is worse than unforeseen problems. Don't forget the following.

• Always check on cancellation policies before you book tickets. Can you get a refund? Or will you have to dine ashore or accept a later cruise in the event of a problem?
• Boarding times and sailing times are different, sometimes up to one hour earlier. Ask before you go.
• Three or more may not be all the company you want on a romantic cruise. Most dinner cruises require that you share tables, so ask about upgrades or private seating. That will cost more, but may be worth it.
• Not all facilities are created equal. If restrooms or stairs are a concern, ask about them ahead of time.
• Ask about dress codes or suggestions for each cruise.
• If you get seasick on the open ocean, you may be perfectly fine on a river. But once you set sail, there's no turning back.

What’s Better Than Dinner with a View on a Queen’s Landing Dinner Cruise?

Once you board the Lady of the Lake dinner cruise , you know you are in for a fun-filled evening. The yacht features 2 enclosed floors with a fully stocked bar. Weather permitting there is an upper floor with an open balcony offering beautiful lake views. Dinner on the Queen’s Landing dinner cruise is a chef created 4-course meal. Meals include a cheese plate, 2nd-course salad, 3 rd main course and dessert for the 4 th course.

To upgrade your experience on the Lady of the Lake, there are ways to make you feel like a VIP. You can add a red or white bottle of wine, chocolate covered strawberries, or upgrade to the ultimate King or Queen VIP package. The King and Queen upgrade include champagne, private seating, and accented table linens. In addition to your meal, you will enjoy live entertainment on board.

Queens Landing/Lake Cruises, Inc. was established in 1991 and is anchored by its primary attraction: the “Catawba Queen”.    A custom-designed replica of a Mississippi riverboat, the “Catawba Queen” was a “one boat show” offering cruises for sightseeing as well as for lunches and elegant dinner outings. The Catawba Queen Riverboat Cruise offers a unique and relaxing way to explore Lake Norman with various sightseeing and dinner cruises.

A day out on the water is always a good day. Especially when you can just sit back and relax and enjoy the ride, which is exactly what you can do on a Catawba Queen Riverboat Cruise — one of North Carolina's best hidden gems and one of the most unique ways to see Lake Norman.

Believe it or not, there's a riverboat cruise just a short drive from Uptown Charlotte. The Catawba Queen Riverboat operates on Lake Norman in the small town of Mooresville just north of the Queen City. The boat launches from the docks of Queens Landing and offers several fun cruises.

The red and white Catawba Queen looks like a smaller version of the famous riverboats you'll see cruising down the river in Savannah and even New Orleans. Sight-seeing tours on the boat are offered almost every weekend throughout the year.

The boat has a full bar and kitchen with boxed lunches available for purchase. Guests can enjoy the panoramic views of Lake Norman from the open-air deck while learning about the lake's history from the Captain. He'll even point out a celebrity house or two. Dinner cruises featuring a chef-driven buffet with delicious options including prime rib, seared salmon and chicken marsala.

The Catawba Queen also hosts several fun events throughout the year that include a Mardi Gras themed party, New Year’s Eve celebrations and several charity galas. You can even book a private cruise or throw a wedding ceremony and reception aboard the riverboat.

Queens Landing is located at 1459 River Hwy., Mooresville. Tickets for the sightseeing tour start at $19 for adults and are $64.99 for the dinner cruise.

The Abandoned Henry River Mill Village In North Carolina Is One Of The Eeriest Places In America

Henry River Mill Village in North Carolina is an abandoned textile village known for its historical significance and paranormal investigations.

What was once a small textile village, the Henry River Mill Village , in Hickory is valuable evidence of the industrial heritage of the surrounding area. This abandoned, eerie place in North Carolina draws visitors every year for historical tours, lodging, and other events. Withstanding so much time, there are bound to be some eager voices hoping for a sympathetic ear, which is why paranormal investigations are so helpful and popular in this village. Whatever draws you into one of the eeriest places in America, you are sure to spot something to remember. Come along as we show you why you definitely must have it on your travel bucket list!

From its erection in 1905 to its proud place in the National Register of Historic Places in 2019, the Henry River Mill Village Historic District has stood the test of time.

And in the end it's the people we remember, as is the case with this unique and valuable remnant. In the early 1900s, the Aderholdt and Rudisill families established the Henry River Manufacturing Co.

This cotton yarn manufacturer opened up in 1905, with worker houses, a bridge, a two-story boarding house, a power-producing dam, a brick company store, and the original three-story brick mill you see behind the loyal workers who kept the place going. Notice some of the faces belong to children.

The mill burned down in 1977, just after Wade R. Sheppard purchased the property.

Since the tragic loss of that historic building, driving by the two-story brick company store, it is easy to see why it is now a starring feature of the abandoned, eerie place.

From 1907-1917, this multipurpose building was the mill office and the upper floor was a school room and a church.

And throughout the year, you are invited to go up its stairs and see what remains on the second floor.

Reserve a spot for one of the intimate, hands-on paranormal investigations throughout the village, if you dare.

About 20 of the original 35 mill houses in the residential area remain.

You are welcome to come inside, even in the daytime.

And if you are very still, you may just hear some echoes from long-ago life in the district.

In addition to paranormal enthusiasts, it has also drawn the attention of movie producers as the 72-acre village was a filming location of "District 12," "The Hunger Games."

The mill closed in 1971, but its history continues, now offering overnight accommodations, daily historic tours, and special events.

Henry River Mill Village is private property, so you must purchase an admission ticket, which you can do at the  Henry River Mill Village website.

This North Carolina Attraction Is Among The Most Haunted Places In The Nation

The Biltmore Estate in Asheville is renowned for its paranormal activity and historic significance.

Is the Biltmore haunted? North Carolina's most prominent and beloved attraction, located in Asheville , receives more than a million visitors every year. This family-owned estate inspires people as the tour allows an escape from everyday life. Since 1895, the family has welcomed guests to its 8,000 sprawling acres with breathtaking views of the mountains and the distinguished house and gardens. Let's take a look at some of the paranormal activity reported in the firsthand accounts of visitors to our beloved Biltmore, one of the most haunted places in North Carolina , and the country for that matter. Let's dive into the Biltmore Estate's dark history .

But first, here is a little background refresher.

The Biltmore in North Carolina was constructed from 1889 to 1895 by William Henry Vanderbilt II.

In his early twenties, Vanderbilt accompanied his mother to Asheville on a visit. He fell in love with the area, of course, and decided to build a modest summer home.

His modest little summer home would reportedly use up much of his Vanderbilt inheritance. He ended up getting married, having a daughter, and living at Biltmore until his death in 1914.

The Biltmore has 178,926 square feet of floor space. That's the equivalent of four acres inside the main house alone.

Visitors touring the estate have reported many paranormal experiences, ranging from apparitions, cold spots, sensations of being pushed by something otherworldly, and strange smells — among other things.

The staircase is a common place for spotting ghosts and experiencing the haunted activity at the Biltmore Estate.

Many paranormal enthusiasts believe staircases are spiritual vortexes, attracting ascending (and descending!) spirits. At the Biltmore, visitor accounts of odd occurrences on the stairs soar in firsthand accounts detailed in online reports and comments.

It doesn't help matters that many of the 250 rooms found at the Biltmore have headless mannequins dressed in period clothing.

We're sure it only serves to confuse the unconscious mind that sees something that really isn't there.

Many people have reported seeing George Vanderbilt II in his library.

Apparently, one of Vanderbilt's favorite rooms in the estate was his library. He could be found here admiring and reading books found in his vast collection. He's often seen browsing the books along the shelves, or sitting quietly and reading.

Other firsthand ghost sightings occur in the basement of the mansion.

The servants' quarters, kitchen, gym, and pool are located in the basement. Some visitors have reported seeing the staff busy preparing a meal in the kitchen.

The indoor swimming pool, located in the basement, was a popular spot for visitors to Biltmore in Vanderbilt's day.

Today, however, it's not popular at all. Soaring numbers of firsthand accounts say they had an overwhelming feeling of uneasiness when touring the pool area, the site of the supposed Biltmore Estate pool drowning. Some go on to say they clearly felt pure terror in the presence of someone who may have drowned during one of the parties the Vanderbilts were known to throw.

Speaking of parties...

Some accounts tell of the smell of a fresh cigar burning, with the pungent smoke billowing off the end. But the Biltmore is a smoke-free environment.

Others report the sense of being followed, or watched.

Clearly, this is something that a servant would do in an attempt to be attentive to any family member or guest. Perhaps a servant or two still linger, watching over the estate and her guests?

And then there is the tale of the orange cat.

Online accounts from witnesses report seeing a headless orange cat wandering the property from time to time. There are no accounts of who the cat belonged to, or how it lost its head.

America's largest private residence is also one of the most haunted places in the country.
