@Ms. Margaret Tok

We would like to compliment one of the tour leader from SA tour - Rachel - the tour leader for the Europe Trip. Rachel has been very professional and helpful and knowledgeable and her flexibility to adjust the itinerary has reduce a lot of waiting and travelling time for us. The itinerary was well paced with nature and city scene. There is never a perfect itinerary that suits all of us but I personally feel that a tour leader plays a important part in ensuring we had a enjoyable trip and we are indeed blessed to have Rachel and the group we travelling with to make our trip a very enjoyable one. Personally it was since 10 years plus that I join a group tour. There was some unpleasant experience I had with one of the SA colleague which commented that I was being unfair to him in a email that was sent to my friend. It does started me with a bad note and I start to wonder whether did I make the right choice? However it turns out to be a pleasant trip and the credit goes to Rachel. Nowadays it is difficult to find loyal and staff who work with passion and SA is blessed to have Rachel as their staff. I am in service line and I know it is not easy as there is ups and downs. I am sure SA tours will continue to be popular with good word of mouth from customers through the service from the good tour leaders( including Rachel) Last but not least ,Thank you to SA Tours. Thanks again to Mickey and Carol too for replying to my emails too.

@Mr. Felicia Pei Ting

I would like to thank Miss Winnie Woo for her help in planning a wedding proposal on our Dream Cruise holiday from 11-16 Feb 2018. We were planning to go on Royal Caribbean initially, however decided on Dream Cruise after Winnie’s strong recommendation. She explained to us how Dream Cruise will be more suitable for our lifestyle - such a Penfolds bar, Johnnie Walker bar and also the high restaurant standards. This shows that she is very observant and patient to understand our needs. As she knows that my friend was going to proposed on Valentine's Day, she suggested we book the dinner with Mark Best. And on 11 Feb, she even called to reconfirm the arrangement for us again. Luckily, she did that as the restaurant did not remember when I went to check earlier in the day. I’m very impressed with her! On 14 Feb, the four of us were even more surprised when we walked into our friend’s room with decoration! She went the extra mile to her Dream Cruise to do it for my friend. And the proposal was very impressive and successful! I must say that this makes me want to book more holidays with SA tour as I know the consultant is so considerate and dedicated to take care of us. Once again, a big thank you to Ms Winnie Woo!

Following our recent tour Guangzhou Family Fantasia 24 Dec-1 Jan, I would like to compliment your staff for their excellent professional services. Mr. Louis Lee is a very dedicated and organized tour leader. He did everything to ensure our safety, fast free check-in, luggage and meals that leave us to enjoy with a peace of mind. His cheerful, enthusiastic and thoughtful nature kept us in a happy mood so much that we bonded a strong friendship. Together with Mr. Jin our China tour guide, they shared general knowledge of places, tips on where, what to do and eat. From their sharing, I myself as an avid photographer, discovered a lot of nice interesting sceneries. Mr. Lee is definitely the best tour guide I have met so far and I am looking forward to explore China by joining his tour group again. Also, not forgetting the courteous friendly Mr. Kenneth Tan, who did our booking. Despite near closing time, he took the time to explain and answer our queries well. The trip to China was splendid. Many thanks for creating good memories. Kudos to you guys!

@Mr. Lee Loon Yang

Hi, My parents and I have joined SA Tour's 14D European Treasure Trove (EETT14) from 3-16 Dec 2022. We are very grateful to Cyril for all the assistance that he rendered to my family and me throughout the trip. My parents are elderly (age 67 and 72) and compared to other tour members, needed more time to walk and help with luggage. At Jungfraujoch, I was impressed that Cyril prepared sweets and ginger to help all tour members gain the energy to adjust to the high-altitude effect as well as reminded us regularly to walk slowly and be careful of the slippery surfaces. Cyril's care and concern for the safety and comfort each member has been prevalent throughout the tour. At each hotel, Cyril has done his best to accommodate needs of the families travelling together (swapping rooms where necessary) and helped everyone with our heavy luggage such that any inconveniences were kept to the minimum. My family has been travelling to Europe for several years before Covid so we are familiar with the long distances expected in the itinerary and are cognisant that we will only be staying for a short time in each city. This is my third visit to Italy and my mother's second visit; visiting Sistine Chapel at Vatican City during each trip. Through our description of Sistine Chapel, my father (a devout Christian) was looking forward to visiting it at the Vatican City during this trip to Italy (his first visit). We realised that the visit to Vatican City did not include Sistine Chapel while we were waiting to enter the St Peter's Basilica. My father was distraught and kept saying that he really wanted to visit the Sistine Chapel once in his lifetime and at his age, he may have a chance to return to Italy again. Cyril heard my father saying this and explored with the local tour guide on how we can fulfil my father's wish to visit Sistine Chapel though my mother and I were explaining to my father that we should just continue with the tour itinerary in order not to inconvenience the other tour members. As we are in Rome on 14 and 15 Dec (15 Dec was a free day), it may be possible for my family to return to Vatican City to visit Sistine Chapel on our own on 15 Dec before meeting the tour group at the airport. After discussion with Cyril and the local tour guide, we decided that the best approach would be to skip the next leg of the walking tour in Rome (14 Dec) to Colosseum and go to Sistine Chapel (next to St Peter's Basilica) while we are still in Vatican City. We will catch up with the tour group at Trevi Fountain. As the local guide is with our tour group throughout the walking tour and will take care of the safety of 17 members, Cyril quickly brought the 3 of us to the entrance of Musei Vaticani to get tickets before he ran back in the rain to catch up with the tour group at the Colosseum. We went for a short route to Sistine Chapel and took a taxi to Trevi Fountain to meet the group within 2 hours to continue our walking tour to Spanish Steps. Cyril could have left the 3 of us to locate the entrance of Musei Vaticani on our own (which I offered) and stayed with the 17 members of the tour group and the local guide on the walking tour. Cyril went with us because it was raining the entire day and he was concerned about whether we can locate the entrance in time, particularly with my elderly parents. At the same time, the local guide was with 17 members of the tour group ensuring their safety while Cyril quickly caught up with them; drenched in the process. We apologise for the inconvenience caused to Cyril and the other members of the tour group to fulfil my father's wish. Weighing the options, this approach caused the least inconvenience to the rest of the tour members. It meant a lot to my family that Cyril made the extra effort to fulfil my father's wish to visit Sistine Chapel in his lifetime. My family and I have joined many packaged tours over the past 14 years. We know what a tour leader would typically do in a packaged tour. From this trip after Covid, we also saw that many things changed in Europe. Cyril has struck us as a tour leader who went above and beyond the typical role of the tour leader and went through hardship (carrying heavy luggage up flights of stairs at hotels) to ensure the safety and comfort of tour members. My parents and I would like to express our deepest appreciation for Cyril's assistance during our tour to Europe from 3 to 16 Dec 2022. We seek SA Tours' assistance to convey our appreciation to Cyril and recognise his good performance during the tour. Thank you.

Dear Sir/ Mdm, Hope this email serves you fine and well. I am a customer of yours for the European 14D European Treasure Trove from 3 Dec 2022 to 16 Dec 2022. I will like to take this opportunity to thank my tour manager Mr Cyril Sheng for the great experience that he has given me and my wife for the honeymoon holiday. Firstly, Mr Cyril Sheng has been very accommodating and very detailed in his daily itinerary planning for the whole trip. There were many requests put up during the trip by many passengers on an adhoc basis. Without any hesitation, he has been in the forefront to take care of all our needs and wants within the time limit. He has paid detailed attention to an elderly couple who wanted to pay their respects in the 16th Chapel whilst he ensured that we are safe in the hands of the local guide. He went the extra mile to reach our next destination on foot after bringing the couple which is admirable. Mr Cyril has also showed the care and concern for all his passengers. Since my wife and I are on a special diet of vegetarian and having fish and eggs, he ensured that we are served the right food at all times. This is an admirable character of his. What touched me was he came over to all his passengers including us to ensure the right food is served. When some of the fellow passengers changed their dietary requirements, he went the extra mile to change without any complaints. This is the star quality that we see in him. In addition, when my wife needed to go to the toilet as she was not feeling well, without much hesitation or complaints, he directed the bus captain to detour to show care and concern. He also checked in twice on the same day to see if she was fine and checked in again the next day. This is something that I have not seen in other tour manager in other agencies. In Switzerland, whilst other tour managers in other groups only brought their passengers up, Mr Cyril has gone the extra mile to buy sweets for passengers to have sugar and go up the mountain. This was on his own accord. He ensured all passenger young and old were fine throughout the journey. When an elderly passenger was not well,he rushed to help her and assisted the family. He also spent his own money to get doughnuts for his passengers. I am also amazed that Mr Cyril Sheng went the additional mile to carry all the luggage for his passengers. He smiled and helped all of us. This is really admirable in him. I hope you would take this opportunity to praise him for his hard work and effort. Any complaints against him is something that you can dismiss against. Please do call me if you need any clarification. Thank you. Regards, Mr Prem Ms Kalphna

@Mr. Jason Tan

Hi SA tour team, I am currently on 14D11N EUROPEAN TREASURE TROVE trip with Cyril Sheng from 03 Dec to 16 Dec. The thing about going on a trip and especially on a tour is to be accommodating with each other and not put in tough and unreasonable requests to tour guide. Cyril was the complete opposite of the worst. He puts in his best effort and goes all out to assist each and every member in the tour. He’s nothing short of being an excellent tour guide. I hereby put in my testimonial to him and I will continue to support SA Tours. Warmest Regards, Jason Tan

@Ms. Eunice Chua

Dear SA, Happy New Year 2023! Hope this finds you well. I meant to write earlier but was busy traveliing and celebrating the festive season. This a belated thank you to Keith Ng who was Tour Leader on my trip to Hokkaido 1st to 8th December. He looked after us very well. I was particularly impressed with his caring attitude and he conscientiously helped me throughout the tour. Please pass my compliments to Keith for a job well done during our tour. The group was also appreciative of his attention and commitment. Many thanks for a wonderful holiday and I will certainly consider SA Tours in the future.

@Mr. Samuel Lee & Emely

To the Management of SA Tours, I have just returned from the Hokkaido Package 8 days tour from 11 to 19th of May on the Scoot Flight Package.I would like to mention something today that is on every leisure traveller’s dream to have a pleasant and memorable trip just outside my usual business travels. When we landed in Sapporo , we were greeted with a 60 ?year old tour guide ( Tao yu , BEI ZI ) and my first impression was what can this lady do for the 8 days continuous journey that we are going to embark on while most of the time, I would expect a 30 to 40 years plus tour guide are the usual ones with the appropriate energy to carry us all the way throughout the comprehensive journeys . I saw even at the first meeting she was pretty tired , stunned and wear out. I was literally not expecting any potential exciting tours ahead. After the 8 days , I was totally wronged and what I witnessed was that Bei Zi has brought us the tour group to an exhilarating , entertaining , knowledge riched journey and most importantly with great sense of humour that bombarded us till we are totally impressed with her experience and skills of a well rounded tour guide. Her style of organising the tour schedule was kept detailed and meticulously carried out the proposed events with utmost responsibility to ensure everyone is safe and understood the message she tried to deliver. Never had I and my wife came across such dedicated and professional attitude that she carried with her to ensure that the tour group members broke ice on friendship quickly and allow us to find common ground together through her lively humour and simplistic philological understanding about how we should appreciate our life both by leading simple, happy and a meaningful life. It’s really a 5 stars quality. I would like to also comment on the professionalism displayed by Rachel ( SA ) who has to juggle between 2 travel groups while keeping pace with the tight schedule moving from one hotel to another and it is no joke considering we are changing hotels every day. She brought snacks to ensure that we are in good mood and continue to keep us well informed on the day’s schedule. Her bilingualist ability was able to put into good use. She is very kind, gentle and understanding. Last but not least, another commendable person we would like to thank is Hirasawa San, the perfect and meticulously dressed driver who makes our journey seamlessly safe and given strategically challenging driven coach routes that only experience and passionate driver can execute. The coach is too clean that we felt guilty eating some snacks inside the coach. Many thanks to SA tours, and very lucky to have such great people like BEI ZI , Rachel and Hirasawa San, who I hope will continue to upkeep great standards of tour guided packages offered. Once again, thanks to wonderful people like BEI ZI that makes my holiday so worthwhile not just on beautiful sceneries alone but we certainly make great pleasant friends along this nice and memorable journey. I wish everyone best days ahead , till we meet again.

Hi, I was one of the group members for the 9D8N Zhangjiajie from 6 to 14 Apr 2024. Our tour guide was 小黑 (王坤). I would like to pay special compliments to him for his professionalism and dedication. He was able to understand the dynamics of the group and was capable to take good care of the different age groups. He was not over zealous and very protective of us. We felt safe travelling with him. It could be due to his sincerity that there was such good cooperation and understanding amongst the members. I would love to have someone like him as the tour guide if I were to visit China again. His heart is in the right place. I would appreciate it if you could assist to let him and his company know of our deep appreciation for him. Thank you. Best regards Sara Goh

@Mr. Daryl Sim

Dear Sir/Mdm I would like to give the following compliment our tour group leader and foreign tour guide for our SA Tour trip to Zhang Jia Jie. My tour leader Richard was very helpful and approachable throughout the trip. He is always staying behind the whole group to ensure that we do not lose our way, or head towards the wrong direction. He helps to look our for the elderlies in our group. He is always prompt to help us when we approach him for certain enquiries, like if there is any place to get food near our hotel etc. He is attentive to details, on the night when we took a train to Guangzhou, we were at the wrong gate. However, Richard was quick to notice the details and guided us to the correct gate, if not we would have missed our train to Guangzhou. I am very grateful and thankful to have him as my guide. Our foreign tour guide, Xiao Hei (Wang Kun) was very knowledgeable with the places we are visiting. He explains and shares interesting stories about the places we visit. He is always waiting at the bus door to help everyone get down the bus, like he held on to our hand as we alighted from the bus. When 2 members from our tour group had no appetite for food as they are not feeling well, Xiao Hei asked the restaurant to prepare green bean soup for the 2 members, and when the restaurant staff explains that the green bean soup was not inclusive in the set that was ordered, he forked out his own money for the green bean soup. Throughout the trip, he always buys oranges and stuffs using his own money to treat us even though he did not need to do so. When a few of my family members were not feeling well, I approached Xiao Hei to ask him to help me order some Yakult and Isotonic water for my family. When the items arrived, he refused to collect the money from me. It is hard to come by tour guides like him. Please acknowledge receipt of my email and convey my compliment to Xiao Hei and his company. Thank you.

@Mr. Sim Lee Hiang and Han Luan Fong

Dear Sir/madam, My tour guide Richard is a nice and approachable person. Despite of the initial issues caused by his colleague, Esther (who sold us the package), he managed to resolve the problems to the best of his ability. We are thankful to have Xiao Hei (Wang Kun) as our local guide in China. He is a very organised person. He has good knowledge of history and is engaging and entertaining. He speaks clearly and fluently. He also takes good care of us.

Everything is fantastical and well planned. Itinerary is good. However, Knysna stay could be avoided and instead it should be in George. It will surely save couple on hours travel on 2 days of the itinerary. Rest all is simply perfect.

We were very lucky that we were the only people to book on our trip but Tour Radar let it run.As a reslt we had personal attention from our driver/guide and could make small alterations to the itinerary. Our guide was excellent he gave us good information about the history of the regions and South Africe in general as well about the people and the animals of South Africa. The accomodation ranged from very good to excellent and the animal drive was excellne with a very good courier/driver.
The desemnated driver and guide in the same time, took us from Cape Town and during the trip we received interesting information related to the history, clime, areas, animals, flowers, culture of South Africa!

The team managed an extensive tour itinerary really well. They were prompt, attentive and responded to our requests at all times. We had a party of 7 and many details in the itinerary including flights, special needs like wheelchairs, safari rides, guided tours, sea cruises, etc. The team executed everything well! The local guides in particular were wonderful. For the future, I would recommend 2 improvements - 1. make the duration longer by a couple of days. The itinerary was packed with activities each day and a 1or 2-day downtime would have been good. 2. The weather in Cape Town was terrible. It rains a lot in winter and is a known issue. We should have planned ahead for it.
Our honeymoon vacation through South Africa was amazing! We got to see a little of everything and even with all the traveling around it was stress free. Our guide was terrific and we would 1000% book again!

What an amazing experience! I could not have asked for a better driver (Calvin) and CEO (Johannes)! Johannes was well organized, punctual, and on point with communication. The sites, the safaris (worth every early morning start), would not have been the same without Johannes' passion, knowledge, and diplomacy. The cheetah conservation talk was a definite highlight along with the walk in Soweto. The accommodations were great and felt like many efforts were made to make sure I had access to gluten-free food. My one suggestion (and maybe I missed this as I came late to the Welcome meeting) would be to have more optional group dinners in Capetown.
The trip was fabulous and our guide, Jaym, not notch. The experience was enhanced not only by the beautiful lodgings, delicious cuisine, expert drivers and trackers, but also by the expertise and passion of Jaym. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very personable, sharing stories and his love of nature with us.

Great introduction to the Garden Route. The loop itinerary meant we saw different scenery all the time, coast and mountains and the plains in between. The guest houses surpassed our expectations and the Garden Route Game lodge chalets were a great experience. Benjamin our guide was friendly and informative and got us to all the included excursions and the optional ones in good time to make the most of them. He also ensured we saw key towns along the route and had plenty of photo stops and opportunities to get refreshments. Included meals were tasty and good quality. Included excursions were all good experiences. We added in the optional Elephant Sanctuary and Monkeyland visits, both of which were enjoyable experiences and a chance to see these animals up close but still in a 'wild' setting. All in all a very enjoyable tour, highly recommended if you're short on time but want to see the Garden Route sights.
Had a great time - joined as a solo traveller, it was a nice mixed group. The itinerary is packed but I felt like we fit a lot in and I was happy! Our guide Mawande was excellent, full of info and made sure everyone was comfortable and safe.

What an amazing trip through South Africa and Namibia. This was my 7th trip with G and first one Camping. Don’t be scared! It was an adventure. Bonani and Jerry were the best CEO’s I could imagine and we had an amazing group dynamic. Everyone was helping everyone. Be ready for an amazing adventure!
Our CEO was excellent and the other members of the group were cohesive. We saw the big five and much more. Accommodations were very nice and the food was good. We were out in Kruger for four days and each guide we had were knowledgeable and very accommodating. Highly recommend this tour.

The trip was excellent overall. Our tour director Margaret George was brilliant, knowledgeable and exceptional director in total control. The drivers were Maxwell and Joe. Their demeanor skills and friendliness was beyond reproach. Accommodation was very good. 1 or 2 of the hotels are in need of updating. Meals provided were good. The tours achieved their aims. Big 5 were seen. Would recommend it. One note of caution on home bound flights please arrange to be in Johannesburg early. You may be pushed to get through to your flight in 3 hours

The safari itself was really good, we saw loads of animals, we had enough time to see everything and the guides were really nice. The accommodation was basic and the WiFi only worked in the reception area and wasn't very good. We had no hot water in our room for the first 24hrs because they had to change the gas bottle. The walls of the room are paper thin and you can literally hear every word people in the next room are saying. My wife and I are both vegan which they could cater for albeit very limited, with the packed breakfast consisting of some fruit and a sandwich which was literally 2 peices or bread 1 slice of tomato and 2 bits of lettuce which considering how much we paid isn't good value for money. The common areas like the pool, restaurant and bar were nice, the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The panorama day trip was good to break up the game drives. The journey from the airport was on time however when we got to our first break in the journey the driver didn't have any money for the toll so we waited around for over an hour for someone to "send him the money" which never happened, so I had to pay for the toll! The driver said he'll pay me back but never did. On the way back we got dropped off at Perry View at 12 and left not knowing who was picking us up or when, the driver to take us back to Tambo Airport eventually turned up at 1 o'clock after a nervous wait. Overall, we had a good time but that was mainly due to the wildlife we saw.
The trip was fantastic! The only thing that could have been provided at an earlier stage was more information on how to prepare for the trip!

Our guide, Eric, was wonderful but the itinerary included many places that were not safe for tourists. Instead, we asked to see the Cradle of Humankind museum. Soweta was very welcoming but the rest of Jozi was not. After Eric dropped us at our hotel which was in a very nice part of the city, we were told by hotel staff that we could walk the few blocks to a shopping area. We were mugged within a half block of the hotel. We were not hurt but it was a harrowing experience. I would not recommend tourists to visit Jozi.
Everything worked out organizationally. All employees of Kurt Safari have made a great effort. Accommodation and food all very adequate. Had expected to see more animals. But the grass was also quite and there is enough water in the park. On my own safari a long time ago in the Etosha pan I saw about 100 times as many animals. Nevertheless it was quite good. Very good unfortunately not.

Why use a travel agency?

In this day and age, with the internet and online booking tools readily available, one may wonder why they should use a travel agency. However, there are still several compelling reasons to consider using a travel agency for your travel needs.

Expertise and Knowledge

Travel agents are experts in their field and have extensive knowledge of destinations, travel products, and services. They can provide valuable insights and advice that can help you plan a trip that meets your specific needs and preferences. A good travel agent can also offer recommendations on the best places to visit, where to stay, and what to do based on their personal experience or feedback from previous clients.

Time-saving

Planning a trip can be time-consuming, especially if you are unfamiliar with the destination or do not have much experience in travel planning. Travel agents can save you time by handling all the details of your trip, including booking flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation. They can also offer suggestions for places to visit and things to do, based on your interests and preferences.

Personalized Service

Travel agents can provide personalized service, tailored to your specific needs and preferences. They can offer customized travel itineraries that meet your travel goals, whether you want to relax on a beach, explore a new culture, or go on a wildlife safari. They can also provide recommendations on the best accommodations, restaurants, and attractions that match your interests and budget.

Assistance during Travel

Travel agents can be a valuable resource while you are traveling. They can provide assistance in case of emergencies or unexpected events, such as flight cancellations, lost luggage, or medical emergencies. They can also provide local recommendations and advice to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable trip.

Cost-saving

Contrary to popular belief, using a travel agent can sometimes save you money. Travel agents have access to exclusive deals, promotions, and packages that are not available to the general public. They can also help you find the best travel options that fit your budget, and they can advise you on how to avoid costly mistakes or unnecessary expenses.

Peace of Mind

Perhaps the most significant advantage of using a travel agent is the peace of mind it provides. Travel can be stressful, and unexpected events can occur. Having a trusted and experienced professional to assist you can provide a sense of security and peace of mind. In case of any issues, you can rely on your travel agent to provide assistance and help you resolve any problems that may arise.

In summary, using a travel agency can provide several benefits, including expertise and knowledge, time-saving, personalized service, assistance during travel, cost-saving, and peace of mind. While the internet provides a wealth of information and online booking tools, a travel agent can offer personalized attention and professional guidance that can help you plan an unforgettable travel experience.

In conclusion, South Africa is a popular travel destination that offers a wide range of experiences, from wildlife safaris to cultural tours and beach holidays.

Choosing the right travel agency can help you plan a trip that meets your specific needs and preferences, while also taking care of all the details so you can relax and enjoy your journey.

The agencies listed above are some of the best travel agencies in South Africa, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service and creating unforgettable travel experiences.

G Adventures

G Adventures

G Adventures About Us Started by Bruce Poon Tip in the year 1990, G Adventures transformed from a young man’s vision into a global conglomerate in a very short amount of time. As an enthusiastic and passionate traveler, Bruce dreamt of sharing his travel experience with the world. Giving birth to G Adventures with nothing but personal credit cards, this one-man army soon emerged with over 2000 employees spread over 23 different offices all over the world. Now catering to more than 150000 travelers each year, G Adventures is truly one of the largest and most passionate tour operators out there. A Sense of Adventure Ever had that overpowering feeling of heading off to an adventure after watching movies like Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones and Tomb Raider? Adventure travel has a way of making you fall in love with the world, helping you discover yourself and learn unique skillsets as you explore the planet, meet new people and get your adrenaline pumping. G Adventures will help you do all that. Smaller Groups One of the biggest issues that most group travelers face is the group size. Most tour operators conduct tours in large groups which could spoil the entire experience. This is what makes G Adventures so different. We specialize in offering tours in smaller group sizes at some of the most exclusive places in the world, all at the best prices. A smaller group simply opens up your itinerary a little more, making it more accessible, proving security and companionship and offering enriching experiences with complete strangers. Travel Responsibly The world is a beautiful place to be in and traveling is probably the greatest gift that we can offer to ourselves and our loved ones. Enjoying a destination and becoming a part of its beautiful culture is a great thing to do, but it is equally important to ensure that you’re giving back to the community. From choosing local businesses and developing community based rural travel projects to offering disaster relief services and preventing animal abuse, G Adventures truly operates with the belief that travel is a medium of exchange, which means that they try and give back as much as possible to the local community. Quality Service As one of the most reputed travel operators on the planet, G Adventures is all about making your tours feel extra special. The company is a proud recipient of numerous awards, many of which highlight exactly how travel operators should be run. Some of the awards received by G Adventures include Baxter Travel Media Canada's Favourite Adventure Tour Operator, Readers Choice Best National Adventure Operator in Canada, Vacation.com Canada Specialty Tour Operator Partner of the Year and National Geographic Traveler's Tours of a Lifetime. So the next time you get one of those pangs, that lust for an adventure of a lifetime, all you have to do is choose your favorite destination, select your preferred G Adventures tour and dive into a world of mystery, excitement and endless fun. If you have any questions for us, please do not hesitate to contact us directly via the 'Make An Enquiry' button.

Great way to visit these three countries with a variety of activities. It was the perfect way to achieve a lot in a short period of time and get local tips/info. I?m not the biggest group tour person but I know confidently that I would have never been able to facilitate this trip myself with the various and numerous activities. Specially the Delta was a top standout. I?d have loved to stay an extra night in that magical place with the local people that supported us.

Excellent -   Emma S.

A truly memorable experience. We did not know what to expect but our guide and driver knocked it out of the park for us. Great variety and Namibia is in our hearts forever now.

As exciting as it sounds, you long to hold onto something that is relatable, something that gives your mind a sense of comfort. And this feeling of fellowship can never be found in large robot-like group tours. Exploring a destination in a small group not only lets you enjoy the personal attention of your guide, it also makes the journey more exciting, your companions more approachable. Hassle-Free Experiences There’s a reason we prefer to bank on the pros for all kinds of things in life- their unique skill sets, knowledge and experience lets them do the job better. The same goes for travel. Rather than doing everything yourself, relying on search engines and social media gossip only to realize that you made a colossal mistake after it’s too late, you’re better off leaving the planning and the organizing to the pros. There’s a reason why thousands depend on them after all!

One of the many highlights is certainly the trip to the Okavango Delta with two nights in the middle of nowhere, an absolute lifetime experience. Overall, the tour is a very varied program to get to know the country, the lovely people and the nature.

We had a most enjoyable 3 weeks on this trip, and made friends on our group of ten. The camping was work, putting up our tents (with help, thanks, you know who you are !). We stayed two nights in most places, 3 in Etosha. Very early morning starts, breakfast at 7 with tents down on moving days. It was dark, and cold! However, the tents were very comfortable with beds and mattresses, and we slept really well. The food was delicious and plentiful. After long days driving, our guides turned in and cooked for us. The breakfasts were delicious too.

The adventure was amazing. Small group of 11. Everyday was so different from the last. I really liked driving through the countries even though sometimes the roads weren’t the best (was prepared for that). The wildlife we saw was beautiful! The hotels were fine.

LOCAL TRAVEL AGENCY IN SOUTH AFRICA

Southern africa inbound agency.

Séparateur du site internet SATravellers, agence de voyage en Afrique Australe

The history of South African Travellers dates back to 2007 when a befriend couple fell in love with South Africa and they decided to pack their bags and settle in a game reserve adjacent to the famous Kruger Park. Soon, the desire to share their passion for this continent was established with the creation of SATravellers, a local and in the beginning French speaking agency in Cape Town.

In September 2018 Natalie and Filip decided to work with our friends and that's how the dutch part of SAT came to life. Travel and discovery are in our blood. After 12 years of expat experience in various destinations (Croatia, Morocco, Switzerland, Tunisia, Nigeria, South Africa) and 21 years in the 'corporate' world, we decided to settle in Cape Town and change our lives.

In 2020, while the founders dream of different horizons, Filip decides to take over the reins of the company in which he is fully involved, together with Xavier, a fellow countryman specializing in motorbike travel here in southern Africa who has the same passion for these beautiful countries.

Blown away by the beauty of this city and this country, we would like to share our experiences and passion and to provide our travellers an unforgettable experience, with local insights and backed by a super experienced, passionate team. We call ourselves Travel Companion, indeed that's how we see it, because we want you to experience a journey the way we would like it with our family. As much as possible off the beaten track, authentic and rich in adventures and plenty of tasting of the "couleur locale", literally and figuratively!

Ready for the Adventure?

Managing Director

What is your role within SAT - Travel agency in South Africa?

Responsible for the management / administration of the office

How long have you been in South Africa?

What is your background?

After having worked for 21 years in a multinational, having had the occasion to travel a lot as expat for the same company, having lived in various places such as Zagreb, Casablanca, Lausanne, Tunis, Lagos and Cape Town, we felt really at home in South Africa and we decided to change our lives! Making from our passion our job was a dream come true!

What is your favorite place in South Africa?

Too many to mention, because all regions have their own character, but if I have to pick 1 place then it is Cape Town, the Mother City. A metropolis that feels more like a village where nature is around the corner and African and Western culture are a true cross-pollination. Just magic! Living in Cape Town means being in a city that offers all the comforts of a European capital, great climate, fantastic food, wines and less traffic jams! In addition, the city is an excellent base camp for exploring Southern Africa, our playground. Chapman's Peak in my backyard is simply my favorite spot. As a cycling fan it is just amazing to climb the mountain and discover every time a different scenery. The views from the top to the ocean and to the most beautiful bay in the Western Cape are just stunning! Not to mention the mindblowing sunsets...

Xavier-SA-Travellers

After working for years in the financial markets, I suddenly needed a change of scenery… and it was while traveling the world that I fell in love with Cape Town!

I love nature, the ocean, surfing and mountain running so Cape Town is clearly my favorite playground! Living in Cape Town means being in a city that offers all the comforts of a European capital but without the pollution, stress and traffic jams! In addition, the city is an excellent base camp for exploring South Africa and its surroundings. The vineyards, the Garden Route and the Karoo Desert are my favorite spots.

IMG_3725

Administration

What is your role within SAT - Travel Agency in South Africa?

I'm responsible for keeping the roadbooks for our clients in good shape. The 'devil is in the details' and that's my job so our clients can travel without worries.

After first working in the pharmaceutical sector as a lab assistant, I then followed my husband into the expat world and that's where the passion for tourism and travel grew.

What is your favourite place in South Africa?

Cape Town is clearly my favourite! Here is everything a city should have, but much less hectic than in Europe. From beautiful nature, nice bars and restaurants, a pleasant climate, shopping...in short everything. It is also the ideal base to discover the surrounding countries of Southern Africa! The dunes of Namibia, the Okavango Delta in Botswana and the beautiful beaches of Mozambique, to name but a few.

Liesbet

Introduction, where are you from?

Haai! My name is Liesbet. I was born in Belgium, in Flanders, and always thought I would live in a historic house along one of the canals in Ghent. But on a holiday, I met my future husband, and I am actually at the point where I have lived half my life in South Africa. Every day straddles both countries.

Since I used to work as an archaeologist before, I got to know the country from a different perspective and collected bits of information on towns and places which you will not find in a tourist guide.

And on the other hand, I love baking and sharing Belgian desserts and speculoos.

With my eye for detail (an archaeologist after all!), I like the “i’s” dotted and the “t’s” crossed. So I do final checks of bookings as well as building roadbooks for clients. A holiday is like a puzzle where all the pieces have to fit together exactly to make the pretty picture.

What are the advantages of a trip organised by SAT?

We make sure that you don’t need a holiday to recover from all the holiday prep work! And if there are any surprises along the way, we make sure it are only good ones.

What is your in favourite place in Southern Africa?

I can’t really pick one place. I have great memories of trips to Gamkaskloof in the Swartberg, dangling my feet over the edge at Augrabies Falls, or being in the middle of the Karoo feeling like you are alone on the world. But I am mostly yearning for another long and leisurely drive through Namibia.

Tell me something crazy that happened to you here!

It was in this morning’s meeting here at work 😊 Filip mentioned he had seen 5 cobra’s in Camps Bay. My thoughts first went to the snake before I realized he was talking about the car brand!

Camille de South African Travellers, agence de voyages en Afrique du Sud

Travel Designer

Presentation, where are you from?

I was born in a hilltop village in Vaucluse where I grew up. I am passionate about travel and hiking.

After my studies I put my suitcases 1 year in Australia to learn English. After that I traveled through Asia and Latin America before settling in Paris. After 2 years in Paris I decided to try expatriation and I landed in Cape Town for an indefinite period. I am now delighted to organize your dream trips to Southern Africa.

I am a travel designer

Why did you choose SAT?

I would say that SAT chose me because my values stick to the spirit of the agency. We are all driven by the same passion for travel and adventure and always up for new experiences.

What are the advantages for you of a trip organized by SAT?

The advantage is that you leave with peace of mind because we take care of everything from A to Z 🙂

My favorite place is undoubtedly the bush. I love being in nature and exploring animals. Each safari is a different and unexpected experience.

I am also a fan of Cape Town and its surroundings. I never tire of exploring new places whenever I get the chance.

Recently I was able to share a moment with the Shark spotters of Muizenberg who, perched on their belvedere, scan the horizon to warn swimmers of the presence of sharks.

From my first week in Cape Town I had the chance to see about fifteen whales by chance from the Sea Point promenade in Cape Town. It was magical and since each time I pass on the promenade I observe the sea, hoping to see them again.

Hello, my name is Tiphaine and I am 27 years old. I am a Savoyard. I did all my studies in Savoy with semesters abroad in Canada and Ireland which gave me the fiber of travel. I then joined a company in Germany, in Dortmund, where I put my bags for 4 years. From there, I continued to travel in my spare time (Los Angeles, Vegas, Miami, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa, Mauritius…). In 2018, I left my job in Germany for a year of Working Holiday Visa in Australia and then I followed the reason of the heart to come and settle in Cape Town and start the SAT adventure. To be continued….

I joined the SAT team as a travel designer where I take care of organizing the most beautiful trips possible in South Africa for all people wishing to discover this country with 1000 facets.

What could be better than entrusting your trip to a team of local experts who will be able to create a tailor-made itinerary for you. Holidays are a moment that we look forward to every year and during which we want to have a totally free spirit to make the most of the experience. Being able to create your 100% personalized itinerary without joining an organized tour that will make you feel like yet another tourist in South Africa is the key to an unforgettable experience. And then, in the event of a problem, you can take advantage of French-speaking support 24 hours a day.

What is your in favorite right in South Africa?

I fell in love with Noordhoek, just 1 hour from Cape Town. The scenic Chapman's Peak road that you take to reach Noordhoek already leaves you speechless and the immense beach of white sand finishes making the place exceptional. While there, I can only recommend a horseback ride on the beach and a romantic evening at Cape Point Vineyard to watch the sun set behind the ocean. Special mention for the cheese platter that I could eat every day, accompanied by a white wine from the vineyard.

On a hike to Crystal Pools in Gordon's Bay (which I recommend with my eyes closed), I learned the hard way that baboons are masters of the land. As I was enjoying my picnic in front of the waterfall, a huge male baboon wanted his share of the sandwich too. He darted under me, showed his long, sharp teeth, and grabbed my bag with my drone in it before scurrying off into the forest. Luckily, park rangers explained to me that he was just going looking for food and should leave my things alone after the inspection was over. After 10 minutes, I was able to find my bag and my drone in the forest and since that day, I admire the baboons of Cape Town, but from afar!

megane

Megane grew up in a small town near Lyon. However, she soon decided to study abroad and flew to the Netherlands. Her studies and her work led her to live in different countries such as India, Nepal, Indonesia and finally Namibia. She settled and worked in a lodge in the middle of the savannah and woke up every morning with giraffes at her window. After two years of travelling through the wide open spaces of Namibia and Botswana, Mégane set off to discover South Africa. She falls in love with the magnificent cosmopolitan city of Cape Town and the famous Garden Route.

Charlotte

Hello everyone, my name is Charlotte, and I am 24 years old. I was born in the southern part of the Netherlands. After High School in Netherlands, I completed my Bachelor’s in Hasselt, Belgium. After spending some time in India for an internship, I decided to travel to South Africa to visit my best friend. It is safe to say that I lost my heart to Cape Town 😉

I joined the team as a travel designer for the Dutch-speaking and English-speaking market. That means I design your dream trip, according to your wishes, budget and expectations.

A trip organised by SAT is a trip that you will never forget. Our goal is to give you an experience that goes beyond your expectations. Given the fact that the trips are tailor-made, you are the boss of your travels! We strive to give you a unique and authentic experience, just how we would like our own holiday to be. Because we are based in Cape Town, we know the ins and outs of Southern Africa. You don’t have to worry about a thing, just pack your luggage and enjoy! Even during your trip, we will take care of any unforeseen circumstances, just contact us 😊

What is your in favourite place in Southern Africa?

I am afraid that is a question with multiple answers… If I really have to choose 1 place, I would choose Cape Town. It was my first encounter with South Africa, and it did definitely not disappoint. I love the variety of activities that Cape Town has to offer, from hiking to sunbathing and from shopping to fine dining. It will take a lifetime to discover all the hidden gems of the Mother City!

Just like my colleague Tiphaine, I also had an encounter with the baboons of South Africa. During a family camping trip at Kogel Bay Beach, the baboons decided that we had to share our food with them. Our food was stored in a little trailer, parked very close to our tents. One morning, we were all having breakfast around the fire, when a family of baboons ran across our camping spot. The Alpha male decided he was in need of some groceries and stole our packets of spices from the food trailer…
