Dressing like a tourist is easy! A bright Hawaiian shirt is a classic look, but neon prints and souvenir t-shirts are also great shirt options. For bottoms, definitely go with khaki shorts or cargo shorts. Slip into a pair of white crew socks and strap your sandals over them to create an iconic tourist vibe. Don’t forget accessories like fanny packs, leis, straw hats, and multiple cameras to tie your look together!

Things You Should Know

• Wearing a Hawaiian shirt is a classic way to stand out as a tourist. You could also pick a graphic T-shirt or a shirt with a loud, vibrant print.
• Go for bottoms like khakis or cargo shorts. For a more tropical vacation vibe, opt for a colorful sarong.
• Hold your items in a fanny pack and throw on some socks with sandals to complete the look.

• For example, try a shirt with a bright red and purple floral print.
• If you can find something with neon colors, go with that!
• A trick with florals is to choose them according to your height--for a petite size person, choose small floral prints; for average height, choose a medium floral print; and for plus size, larger or tall, choose a large floral print.

• You could also go with something that promotes a popular company that caters to tourists, like Señor Frog’s or Hard Rock Café.

• Bonus points if the name of your hometown is written right on the shirt!

• Try an over-sized plaid button-up with short sleeves in the brightest colors you can find.
• A neon tie-dye top is also a great choice.

• Wrap a sarong around your waist and slip into a pair of flip-flops to complete your outfit.

• Pair your khaki shorts with an oversized Hawaiian shirt for an iconic tourist look.

• Tuck a pink tank top with “Hawaii” scrawled on the front into a pair of mom-style, knee-length khaki shorts and you’re all set!

• You can go with any color, but khaki or tan cargos would be very authentic.
• Cargo skirts are another option you might prefer. Just be aware that they're not the most flattering style for skirts because their bulky pockets stick out. You'll also need to opt for a top that hits at your waist, you don't want to add bulk by tucking things in.

• Strap on a second fanny pack for extra oomph.

Tacky Tourist Photos. Stupid, or Rite of Passage?

How many times have you been to a Tourist Trap around the world, only to see a flood of people/tourists posing in all sorts of weird ways to be captured in a photograph so it can be posted to their Facebook page within minutes?

That’s right, welcome to the world of Tacky Tourist Photos ! This is where all of the travel cliches you could possible think of end up flooding the internet with more crap that no one else needs or wants!

Strangely enough, most of these tacky tourist photos come from men, but silliness isn’t gender specific! But there seems to be something about going on holiday that makes people want to create a crapload of images that features them in poses that they normally don’t do at home!

Here are a few of them that I’ve received via email!

Tacky Tourist Photos – Some Classic Poses!

Of course, how many times do you think this cliche pose has been struck at the Leaning Tower of Pisa? There must be only a few billion images of this floating around.

I can imagine the people working here sighing when they see someone try and hold up the tower every 0.04 seconds! On no, not another one!

And for the men, a phallic theme seems to pop up based on the object being posed with. Cactuses seem to be a great subject matter to greatly exaggerate ones manhood!

Or of course, going to some great national park that has very large boulders – once again, showing how strong some of the men travellers are out there!

Or maybe you get your kicks by being photographed in a compromising position with an inanimate object. Of course, this statue didn’t really have a choice to be excluded from the photo!

And while we’re at it, why not strike a pose of being sodomised by a massive gorilla. Surely, this one should make the birthday milestones in the future!

And back to the phallic objects again. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my day in Washington D.C!

Hahaha… I think, taking picture with unique posses makes like these, is memorable moments.

LOL Anthony. All funny ones. I have taken zany photos but have yet to venture into the off color arena. A boy can dream hahahaha…
