Ocean Dream is an outstanding 24-metre twin-hull catamaran designed for luxury cruising. Built in 2005 and extensively refurbished with a modern sophisticated interior, this on-water retreat can accommodate 12 guests across six en suite staterooms in luxury and comfort.

Relax in one of the many lounging areas or soak up the surroundings from the six seater spa. There are indoor and outdoor dining options and a wet bar featuring an espresso machine. The Uunguu Visitor Pass (UVP) is now required for all visitors along the Kimberley coastline. This fee is paid to the Uunguu native title holders, also known as the Wunambal Gaambera people for access along the coastline and onto their land. The fee collected by Ocean Dream Charters is passed directly on to the Uunguu native title holders and is separate to cruise costs.

Carnival Tropicale Review

Review of carnival tropicale.

The 1981-built Ocean Dream cruise ship (fka Carnival Tropicale, Costa Tropicale, Pacific Star) on January 16, 1982, started Caribbean itineraries (7-day roundtrips from Tampa Florida ) as CCL-Carnival Cruise Lines ' first newbuild ship - "MS Tropicale". On April 25, 2017, the liner was anchored off Alang India for dismantling , but eventually, Peace Boat continued the bareboat charter.

In early-2020, to the Peace Boat's fleet was added Pullmantur Zenith . In mid-September, the company Japan Grace (Peace Boat's cruise operator) announced the charter of a larger-sized ship ( Sun Princess / max passenger capacity 2419) to replace Peace Boat's both current (2020) vessels - Ocean Dream and Zenith. The Sun Princess ship was renamed "Pacific World" and started operations in 2021-Q2.

The 1422-passenger cruise ship Ocean Dream (as Carnival Tropicale) was transferred to Costa Cruises in 2001 and renamed "Costa Tropicale". However, the liner was retired in 2005 and restarted operations (for P&O Australia as "Pacific Star"). In 2008, P&O AU decided to sell it to Pullmantur (subsidiary of RCCL-Royal Caribbean ). After an extensive drydock refurbishment , the ship (as "Ocean Dream") started operations under charter for "Peace Boat" (global non-government organization).

MS Ocean Dream's operator/charterer Peace Boat is a Japan-based global NGO aiming at raising awareness and building connections among groups that work for peace, human rights and environmental protection. Bareboat charter/bareboating is the hiring of a marine vessel without crew or provisions included in the agreement.

When operated by Peace Boat, the vessel (IMO number 7915096) was Panama- flagged (MMSI 373297000) and registered in Colon . According to data received from its AIS transponder, in 2020, the ship remained docked at Port Hiroshima between July 7 and October 19. The last AIS data (from November 24) showed it at anchorage off Bayside Beach Saka (Mizushiri).

In September 2020, Peace Boat announced the replacing of its two bareboat charter contracts (for Ocean Dream and Pullmantur Zenith) with a larger vessel charter ( Pacific World/ex Sun Princess ) which was scheduled to start cruises in 2021-Q1. In October, Carnival Corporation (shipowner) sold Ocean Dream for scrap. On January 1, 2021, the 40-years-old liner was beached at India's Alang Ship Breaking Yard and subsequently scrapped . The vessel's last drydock was in 2017.

Other former Carnival ships that were scrapped through the years include Carnivale (950 berths), Festivale (1146 berths) and Mardi Gras (906 berths). The 1022-berth Tropicale was designed similar to SS Mardi Gras. Its decks were named (in descending order) Promenade, Empress, Upper, Main, Riviera.

Cruise itinerary program

Peace Boat's Ocean Dream itinerary program was based on Around The World cruises departing roundtrip from Port Yokohama Japan .

Cabins and shipboard amenities

The boat had 11 decks , of which 8 passenger-accessible and 6 with cabins.

Of all the 511 staterooms, 314 are outside (have ocean views via portholes or windows). MS Ocean Dream cabins are air-conditioned, with feature walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms. Master Suites are larger and with whirlpool spa baths and step-out balconies.

Main meals are served at the ship's 2 restaurants which serve Japanese and international cuisine specilaties.

The array of onboard public spaces aboard Ocean Dream have been adapted to serve as classrooms, workshop rooms, rehearsal areas, lecture halls. Students participating in the programs of "Global University", "Global English/Espanol Training" and "International Student & Study Abroad", use the boat's venues for presentations at sea. The Peace Boat Center (P-Cen) is an office used by both participants and staff to produce posters, edit videos, coordinate onboard events and publish the Peace Boat newspaper which is issued daily. The ship also offers places to relax and exercise, including a gym, sports deck, book corner, jacuzzis, swimming pools, coffee shops, bars, sunbathing deck.

Keeping Carnival's original design, Costa Tropicale ship had 7 passenger-accessible decks (out of 11). Carnival Tropicale was transformed into Costa Tropicale during the extensive drydock refurbishment in 2001 (USD 25 million project) conducted at Fincantieri's shipyard in Genoa Italy . The Carnival Tropicale's max passenger capacity was increased to 1412 (with double occupancy 1022/lower berths).

Costa Tropicale (Ocean Dream) deck plans show a total of 11 decks, of which 8 were passenger-accessible and 5 housed passenger cabins.

The liner had as signature facilities MDR (main dining room restaurant without windows), 2-deck high Atrium, Lobby Hall (Reception Desk, Shore Excursions Desk), The Mall (shops), Beauty Salon, Tropicana Cabaret (theater lounge), children's' sundeck (paddling pool), Kids' Room, Promenade Deck, Photo Gallery and Shop, Internet Coffee Lounge, Cigar Bar, Miami Ball Room (dance bar lounge), Library, Habana Casino (gaming bar lounge), Casablanca Great Bar (disco nightclub), Duke Bar (Duke Ellington-themed lounge with a grand piano), Bahia Club (bar lounge and Churrascaria/Brazilian steakhouse restaurant), Nautica Spa & Fitness (wellness complex with gym, sauna, treatment rooms), Giada Great Buffet (Lido restaurant with indoor-outdoor seating), 2x whirlpools, 3x swimming pools, teak sundecks (sunbathing areas with poolside bars, loungers and deckchairs), Sports Deck (Sports Court, Jogging Track).

Carnival Tropicale Wiki

The 1981-built Carnival Tropicale became the first liner operated by a major cruise company that was homeported in Port Tampa Bay, Florida USA . MS Tropicale started roundtrips from Tampa in 1994 with regularly scheduled 7-day Caribbean itineraries. The ship initially served ~28,000 passengers annually. In 2020, Carnival Cruise Line homeported two liners in Tampa ( Carnival Legend and Carnival Paradise ) and annually served ~240,000 passengers - or nearly 900% increase over 1994.

During its service history, the vessel was operated under the names Carnival Tropicale (1981-2000, by CCL-Carnival Cruise Lines ), Costa Tropicale (2000-2005, by Costa Cruises ), Pacific Star (2005-2008, by P&O Cruises Australia ) and Ocean Dream (2008-2012, by Pullmantur Cruises , 2012-2019, by Peace Boat Japan).

The vessel (shipyard hull number 234) was built by Aalborg Vaerft AS ( Aalborg Denmark ), launched (floated out from drydock) on October 31, 1980, delivered to Carnival Corporation (shipowner) on December 4, 1981, and started operations (for CCL-Carnival) on January 16, 1982. Carnival Tropicale was powered by two Sulzer marine diesel engines (model 7RND68M, 2-stroke 7-cylinder) with total power output 19,6 MW. The 10-decks high MS Tropicale had max passenger capacity 1022 (plus 550 crew-staff).

Before joining Peace Boat, the vessel was Malta- flagged (MMSI 256666000, registered in Valletta ), then reflagged to Panama (MMSI 373297000).

BROOME, MITCHEL PLATEAU AIRSTRIP, HUNTER RIVER

Your journey will begin with a coach transfer from your Broome accommodation to the airport at approximately 7:30am. The light aircraft flight to Mitchell Plateau will give you a wonderful aerial perspective of the unique Kimberley landscape with its vivid colours, patterns and occasional whale spotting. On arrival at the Mitchell Plateau airstrip, you will board a helicopter for a 30 minute scenic flight over the multi-tiered Mitchell Falls and land directly onto Ocean Dream’s helideck. Meet your captain, crew and fellow guests and enjoy a sumptuous lunch prepared by our onboard chef. The afternoon will be spent exploring the area in our expedition tenders before a brilliant sunset with drinks and canapes.

HUNTER RIVER, CARRENING BAY

Fishing enthusiasts will get their chance to throw out a line in the morning or try their luck at mud crabbing in Porosus Creek. Ocean Dream will then depart for Careening Bay and visit the famous Mermaid Boab tree. Discover the history behind Lieutenant Phillip Parker King’s quest to accurately chart the Kimberley coast and the careening of his ship HMC Mermaid. Ocean Dream will then depart for Saint George Basin and anchor in Lushington Valley overnight.

PRINCE REGENT RIVER – KING CASCADE FALLS

Entering the Prince Regent River in the morning, it’s time to put your bathers on as Ocean Dream is manoeuvred directly under the King Cascade Falls. Feel the power of the falls from the bow of the vessel before a moderate climb up the falls for a refreshing swim in the Cascade pool. A tender excursion will take you upriver to the scenic “amphitheatre” falls and explore an ancient Bradshaw art site. Also known as Gwion Gwion, the rock art depicts human figures ornamented with accessories such as bags, tassels and headdresses and has been dated around 20,000 years old.

SHEEP ISLAND, CAMDEN HARBOUR, SLATE ISLANDS

Discover Sheep Island and the history behind the failed white settlement at Camden Harbour in 1864. Keep an eye out for ship wrecks, gravesites, and archaeological findings. Explore the Slate Islands and the myriad of wildlife species that call this sanctuary home. Enjoy a beach swim and take a walk around the incredible rock formations whilst on the lookout for turtle tracks.

RED CONE CREEK – RUBY FALLS, MONTGOMERY REEF, RAFT POINT

Have a go at catching a Barra or try your luck in the mangroves for some mud crabs. The crew will take you on a tender vessel excursion up Red Cone Creek for a refreshing dip at the beautiful Ruby Falls. The afternoon is spent exploring Doubtful Bay and the incredible spectacle of Montgomery Reef. Witness as 400 square kilometres of coral reef appears to rise out of the water on the falling tide, creating hundreds of cascading waterfalls as water rushes off the reef. The reef attracts an abundance of marine life including turtles, manta rays, dugongs, dolphins, crabs and fish.

TALBOT BAY – HORIZONTAL FALLS

The Horizontal Falls are one of the natural wonders of the Kimberley. Guests have the option of taking a fast boat ride through the falls and a scenic flight for an aerial view. We take a tender vessel excursion up Cyclone Creek to explore the incredible rock formations created billions of years ago. Fascinating wildlife to be observed in water and on land.

CROCODILE CREEK, SILICA BEACH

Enjoy an expedition up Crocodile Creek and a freshwater swim in a spring fed waterhole. Take in the beautiful scenery as we cruise through Yampi Sound to Silica Beach, located on Hidden Island. Forming part of the Buccaneer Archipelago, it is named after the high content of Silica in the sand, and is a lovely place to swim and stretch your legs. This is your last evening under the Kimberley skies as we cruise past Cape Leveque and along the Dampier Peninsula towards Broome.

Ocean Dream will arrive in Broome where we say our goodbyes. After a final delicious breakfast, a coach transfer will take guests to their Broome accommodation or the airport. Disembarkation is approximately at 8:00am.

6 Night Rowley Shoals Dream Cruise

Departure is from Broome around 6pm for an overnight steam. Guests will enjoy a delicious meal prepared by the onboard chef before settling in for the evening.

The morning is spent exploring the Doubtful Bay and the incredible spectacle of Montgomery Reef. Witness as 400 square kilometres of coral reef appears to rise out of the water on the falling tide, creating hundreds of cascading waterfalls as the water rushes off the reef. The reef attracts an abundance of marine life including turtles, manta rays, dugongs, dolphins, crabs and fish. In the afternoon we will put on our hiking boots for a moderate climb up to the Raft Point caves to explore a well preserved collection of Wandjina rock art. Delicious canapes and drinks on the bow of Ocean Dream will top off an incredible day of adventure with a sunset you will never forget.

RED CONE CREEK – RUBY FALLS

Fishing enthusiasts will delight in the day’s activities as the hunt for the elusive Barramundi is on. Have a go at catching a Barra or try your luck in the mangroves for some mud crabs. Later on, the crew will take you on a tender vessel excursion up Red Cone Creek for a refreshing dip at the beautiful Ruby Falls, a picturesque spot for scenic photography. For the enthusiasts fishing and mud crabbing is on offer at low tide and then after lunch we’ll indulge in a freshwater swim in Surveyors Pool. We’ll depart at sunset for Vansittart Bay.

VASITTART BAY

Visit WWII history with the crash site of a DC3 aircraft, located on the eastern side of Vansittart Bay. We also explore the incredible rock art known as Gwion Gwion, dated some 20,000 years old, which is unique to the Kimberley.

DRYSDALE RIVER

Opportunity to fish for some pelagic species of fish as well as the mangrove varieties. A beautiful river system to explore in our tender vessels with waterfalls and Indigenous art to be discovered.

KING GEORGE RIVER

At high tide we cross the sandbars of the King George River, one of the great Kimberley icons with a dual waterfall that has a vertical drop of over 80m, making it one the tallest waterfalls in Western Australia.

BERKLEY RIVER

Early morning, we cruise up the Berkeley River, one of the most beautiful rivers in the Kimberley. Take a tender excursion up the river and fish off the flat rocks for barramundi or walk to a fresh water pool. This is your last evening under the Kimberley skies as we cruise down Cambridge Gulf, towards Wyndham.

WYNDHAM PORT, KUNUNURRA

We arrive into Wyndham Port early in the morning. After a final breakfast served on board, a coach transfer will take you to Kununurra arriving approx. 10am.

8 Day Northern Kimberley Dream – Wyndham to Mitchell Plateau

A courtesy vehicle will pick you up from your Kununurra accommodation around 2:30pm and transfer you to MV Ocean Dream for a 4pm departure in Wyndham.

We explore the Berkeley River which is considered one of the most beautiful rivers in the Kimberley. There are spectacular waterfalls to explore, fabulous fishing opportunities and several fresh waterholes to cool down in.

VANSITTART BAY

A courtesy vehicle will pick up you up from your accommodation in Kununurra and drive you to Ocean Dream at Wyndham Port, about one hour’s drive. Begin your cruise with a cold drink as you cruise out of the Cambridge Gulf watching the the beautiful sunset. Unpack, meet your fellow adventurers and enjoy a delicious dinner served on the rear deck, then get settled whilst we cruise through the night towards the Berkley River.

BERKELEY RIVER

Join a tender vessel excursion to explore the beautiful Berkeley River, with towering gorges, waterfalls and sandstone cliffs. We discover the head of this incredible river system and the myriad of animal species that call this place home. We discover freshwater swimming holes and there is the opportunity for a spot of fishing.

KING GEORGE RIVER, KING GEORGE FALLS

At high tide we cross the sandbars of the King George River and make our way up to the falls. The King George River has the highest twin falls in Western Australia, at over 80m. Experience the incredible power of the falls as Ocean Dream is manoeuvred up close. For those that are feeling adventurous, there is a hike to the top of the falls and a freshwater swim.

KOOLAMA BAY

We visit the MV Koolama stranding site and survivor camp at Koolama Bay. In 1942, a Japanese air attack bombed the Koolama and it is significant to the Kwini people who helped the 180 passengers and crew to reach safety. Beach and waterfall excursion in this beautiful location.

VANSITTART BAY, JAR ISLAND

Tender vessel excursion out to Jar Island to explore the fascinating Gwion Gwion art, also known as Bradshaw Art. Named after Joseph Bradshaw who in 1891 became the first European to record these amazing paintings. Unique to the Kimberley region, Gwion Gwion art is recorded to be over 17,000 years old. Opportunity to walk to the crash site of DC3 aircraft which crashed in 1942, located on the eastern side of Vansittart Bay. Evening steam around Cape Londonderry, the most northern tip of Western Australia.

MONTAGUE SOUND​

Visit one of the largest sandstone islands and home to some amazing Bradshaw and Wandjina art. This is a great area for fishing and exploring some remote beautiful beaches to stretch your legs.

Everything You Need to Know About Traveling on the Disney Dream

I love all five of the Disney Cruise Line ships that I’ve been on, but I seem to spend the most time on the Disney Dream ship. It’s a beautiful ship with so many things for kids and adults to do, and because of the itineraries on the Disney Dream, it’s a pretty easy cruise to take for a quick getaway.

The Disney Dream is the third ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet – and the first of the larger Dream class ships (the other being the Disney Fantasy ).  It was brought into service in 2011 after a christening by Jennifer Hudson (who was once an entertainer aboard the Disney Wonder ).

It offers 1,250 staterooms and can accommodate up to 4,000 passengers. It definitely feels like a large ship – it takes a while to completely explore it. After seven different sailings on the ship, I feel like there are still areas that I haven’t explored.

Staterooms on the Disney Dream

Our family usually books an oceanview stateroom with verandah. Those offer a king bed as well as a set of bunk beds.

There are a variety of room types on the Disney Dream, including concierge rooms, verandah rooms, oceanview staterooms (with one or two porthole windows but no verandah), and inside rooms (that offer a “magical” porthole). Connecting staterooms are also available for larger groups.

Staterooms have a split bathroom (one room with a sink and toilet and one room with a shower/tub), a refrigerator, a closet, a safe, a hairdryer, and a television. Note that there are some rooms that only have one single bathroom.

Rooms include H2O toiletries that are mounted on the shower wall and generally have lots of space in various compartments for storing things. We always unpack right away and store our suitcases under the bed in our stateroom. That way, you’ll definitely have more room to move around.

Irons are not available in the room, but there are laundry rooms on the ship with iron facilities. If I need to iron anything, I like to do that on the first day so I can just hang things up and not worry about them. Check the map or ask your stateroom attendant where the laundry room is.

The beds on the ship are very comfortable – I find that I sleep so well on a cruise ship because of the light sway and the great room darkening shades.

Some rooms have bunk beds. For those, your stateroom attendant will pull down the bunk every evening and put it away in the morning if you’d like to use it. There are also rooms with trundle beds, which can accommodate up to 5 passengers.

If you are wondering what stateroom on the Disney Dream to book, you should consider how much time you plan to spend in the room, and what you plan to do in the room. When we sail, I love to grab a cup of coffee and sit outside watching the waves.

I also love watching the ship pull into port in the morning. Because of that, I’ve found that the verandah rooms are best for us. But they are definitely more expensive, so you’ll want to make sure you will use it.

If you don’t plan to spend much time in the room, an oceanview stateroom or an inside room may be a better option. It’s more economical, and you can always go on deck if you’d like to see outside. There are plenty of places to sit on the deck where you can see the ship pulling into port.

Room location may also be important to you. I generally don’t care too much, but I don’t like being right below the pool, or too close to the elevators. When traveling with friends and no kids, I like to be above the adult-only sections so they are easy to get to.

Like on the other ships, passengers on the Disney Dream often like to decorate their doors with stateroom door magnets . It’s a great way to identify your door when walking down the halls. If you want to do this, you’ll want to get prepared in advance.

My kids love picking out magnets before we leave on vacation. We typically add these to our day bag so we can decorate as soon as we are able to access our room, without waiting for our luggage.

Restaurants on the Disney Dream

What restaurants are on the Disney Dream? The Disney Dream offers the same unique rotational dining experience that the other Disney Cruise Line ships offer. There are three main restaurants on the Disney Dream – Animator’s Palate, Royal Palace, and Enchanted Garden.

You’ll be assigned a specific rotation when you arrive at the port and will have the same dining staff during your entire cruise.

If you are on a four-day or five-day cruise, you’ll get assigned one or two restaurants twice. I have a child with food allergies, so I find it helpful to have the same servers because they already know us and the food restrictions.

At Animator’s Palate, you’ll see a fun show featuring Finding Nemo’s crush. It’s the most lively of the restaurants and is always my kids’ favorite.

Royal Palace is the more upscale restaurant, featuring delicious French food (try the escargot appetizer). It seems more luxurious but is still pretty casual. My favorite menu on the ship is at Royal Palace.

Enchanted Garden is absolutely beautiful – watch as the ceiling darkens from day to night during your dinner.

In addition to the three main restaurants, there are some quick-serve options. Cabanas is the buffet restaurant that offers breakfast and lunch, in addition to the delicious evening buffet on Pirate Night . There is seating both indoors and outdoors.

In addition, you can forgo your usual dining rotation and go to Cabanas on select nights. If it’s nice outside, I’d definitely recommend grabbing your breakfast and lunch and heading outside to eat.

Cabanas is fully staffed by the regular dining room staff, so if you need any assistance, or have food allergies, you’ll definitely find someone who can help.

There are other quick-service locations that serve pizza, salads, and sandwiches. We sometimes want a quick snack and will grab a slice of pizza – especially if we have the second dinner seating.

For coffee lovers, you’ll want to check out the Cove Cafe, which serves premium coffee. It’s only for adults and can be a nice place to sit and read a book as you sip your coffee.

You can also get Dole Whips (both with and without alcohol) at Frozone Treats on Deck 11.  Room service is available to order 24 hours a day, except for disembarkation day.

For itineraries stopping at Castaway Cay , you’ll find two delicious BBQ restaurants on the family beach, as well as an adult-only BBQ restaurant at Serenity Bay. Servers from the ship travel out to the island to serve at these three locations.

For an additional fee, adults can choose to dine at Palo , the upscale Italian restaurant onboard, or Remy, the upscale French restaurant.

In addition, Palo’s often offers brunch on one day of the cruise. The brunch is absolutely delicious – I definitely recommend checking it out. While it has changed from a buffet to a sit down meal, it’s still fantastic.

If you want to eat at Palo, book it in advance so you’ll have your choice of times. The brunch especially is pretty popular and does book up.

Between Palo and Remy, you’ll find the Meridian bar, which offers alcoholic beverages in a bar with gorgeous views. I love grabbing a drink there before my meal at Palo.

If you are cruising with kids, you’ll probably find that they are happy to spend time in the kids’ clubs while you are eating. My kids usually order room service and then head to the kids’ clubs when my husband and I go to Palo.

Adult Areas on the Disney Dream

The kids’ clubs are fantastic on the Disney Cruise Line , so you’ll probably have some opportunity to explore the ship without kids. My kids always love checking out the kids’ clubs, and we even have to convince them to leave.

There are several adult-only areas and activities on the ship. The bars and clubs in the District section are adult-only in the evenings and offer entertainment and game shows.

My favorite adult-only area of the ship is Satellite Falls, which has a small waterfall/pool, as well as many lounge chairs. When my kids are in the kids’ clubs, I always enjoy grabbing a book and reading in the quiet area.

The ship also has a Senses Spa, which is a full-service spa offering lots of different services. For a treat, book a day pass for the Rainforest Room, where you can enjoy heated lounge chairs, two jacuzzis, a steam room, and much more.

Activities on the Disney Dream

There are so many things to do on the Disney Dream. You’ll even find that many guests don’t disembark at some ports because they are having so much fun on the ship. My kids especially love the kids’ clubs.

There are several options, depending on your kids’ ages, including a nursery, Oceaneer Club, Edge, and Vibe. There’s an open house that is held on the first day, so you can walk around and check things out with your kids.

There are also pools, the Aqualab splash area, and the famous AquaDuck – a watercoaster where you can travel in a tube around the ship.  At the pool deck, you’ll find the FunnelVision TV, which offers movies and shows throughout the day.

You can also see first-run Disney movies in the theater. We usually skip the movies, however, because there is so much more to do. On longer sailings, my kids love sitting in the water watching a FunnelVision movie.

Families will enjoy the various game shows and activities offered in D Lounge throughout the day. For adults, there are some alcohol-tasting classes that you can sign up for (additional fees apply).

I’ve done a few of these and have always enjoyed them – my favorite is the wine tasting. You can sign up for these once you get on the ship.

There are also a variety of character greetings throughout the day – check the Disney Cruise Line app for a full schedule. In addition, make sure that you check the navigator on the first day ., because there are sometimes character greetings that require tickets.

For those kids who love to dress up, there’s a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique onboard, which shifts to a Pirates League on Pirate Night.

Shows on the Disney Dream

What shows are on the Disney Dream? There are three Broadway-style shows that you can see on the ship. Currently, these are the Golden Mickey’s, Beauty and the Beast, and Disney’s Believe. Read our review of Beauty and the Beast here .

These are very high-quality shows and can be great for kids. They generally run twice per night, and you’ll go to the showing that is opposite your dinner seating time. If you haven’t seen them, I definitely recommend going to each of the shows. 

Itineraries on the Disney Dream

What are the Disney Dream itineraries? In the past, the Disney Dream sailed from Port Canaveral on three or four-night Bahamian sailings and was a great option for a Disney Land and Sea vacation because it was easy to combine one of these shorter cruises with a Walt Disney World vacation.

However, with the introduction of the Disney Wish , which has taken over that schedule, the Disney Dream now offers different sailings.

Home ports include Fort Lauderdale, New York, San Juan, Southhampton, and Barcelona. These cruises range in length from three to thirteen nights.

Other Things You’ll Find on the Disney Dream

In addition to everything we’ve also discussed, there are lots of other things you’ll find on the ship. These include a photo studio (where you can purchase the photos that are taken of you on the ship), a rebooking desk (book your next cruise while onboard and you’ll get a discount), a port adventure desk, a port shopping desk, and so much more.

There are also several shops onboard selling sundries and Disney merchandise. It’s important to know that these shops do not open when the ship is in port, only when it is sailing. It’s important to make sure you pack everything you need because it’s tough to buy essentials on board.

The three main dining rooms are Animator’s Palate, Royal Palace, and Enchanted Garden. There are also two adult dining locations (Palo and Remy), a buffet (Cabanas), and several quick-serve spots.
