Motley Crue Reveals Dates For Final Shows In 2015

By mrm  •  january 26, 2015.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Iconic rock band Motley Crue announced today on Fox & Friends the details of their final performance. This will mark the end of their touring career and will conclude their two-year Final Tour cycle at the end of 2015 on New Year’s Eve , Dec. 31 at Staples Center in their hometown of Los Angeles where the band’s career began 34 years ago. The band will celebrate this week’s big announcement with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Jan. 22.

Motley Crue first announced plans for their two-year Final Tour by signing a Cessation Of Touring Agreement at a press conference in Los Angeles in January 2014, solidifying the end of their Final Tour at the end of 2015.

The 2014 leg of the Final Tour was one of last year’s top grossing tours, selling close to a million tickets across 72 cities and grossing more than $45 million.

“Motley Crue’s Final Tour has been a massive global success and a true testament to the popularity of this legendary rock band,” says Rick Franks, Live Nation’s Regional President of North American Concerts. “New Year’s Eve 2015 will mark the end of an era in rock history but there’s no doubt that Motley Crue’s music will influence generations of artists for years to come.”

After 34 years performing together, the 2015 leg of the Final Tour will see the band play Japan in February, then Australia/New Zealand in the Spring. In June, Motley Crue will say farewell to the European Festival circuit with 3 massive performances at Download (UK), Sweden Rock (Sweden) and Novarock (Austria) Festivals before taking their can’t-miss show back to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico this summer for 34 final North American shows due to tremendous fan demand.

The North American dates will see the band visit cities such as Chicago, New York, Toronto, Atlanta, Mexico City and will be taking place in arenas exclusively to ensure fans in all cities get to experience the full show production of the Final Tour:

“In some of the cities, we could only reach a fraction of the fans who wanted to come see us play last year because of ticket demand so we’re coming back to those places to bring them our full production including the Cruecifly drum coaster, as well as all pyro and every other bell and whistle. Even despite the overwhelming fan demand we can only add so many new cities in North America because of our commitment to take the Final Tour global on our final year,” says Nikki Sixx (bass).

Audiences can also expect a high-energy performance from very special guest  Alice Cooper , who joined the band for the Final Tour in 2014.  He will be tearing up the stage for crowds across North America once again. The pairing has been roundly praised as a must-see by fans and media alike.

The band’s exclusive Fan Club pre-sale for these dates starts tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, with a special Citi card member pre-sale beginning at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time the same day. Local pre-sales start this Thursday, Jan. 22 at 10:00 a.m. local time before the public on-sale begins on Friday, Jan. 23 at 10:00 a.m. local time; some dates (including the band’s Final New Year’s Eve performance) will be going on sale this Saturday, Jan. 24 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Following the North American summer shows, the band will take the Final Tour on more international dates this Fall before “all bad things come to an end” for good on New Year’s Eve 2015.

The single is accompanied by a video clip of highlights of Motley Crue’s 34-year career which premiered today on The Tonight Show’s blog – http://fallontonight.tumblr.com/ to preview the band’s national TV appearance on the show this Thursday.

To give back to the fans for their support over the years, Motley Crue will give away their best selling GREATEST HITS album for free in partnership with Google Play for one week only. Motley Crue are also in the process of putting together the ultimate collector’s album package for the fans to be released later this year   which will include the new track, “ All Bad Things ” amongst many other surprises, details of which will be announced in the near future.

About Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper is a true rock icon, having pioneered the use of theatrics and shocking images onstage in concerts from the earliest days of the original band of the same name.  Since going solo, he has continued to produce elaborate stage shows providing fans with both shock and rock of the highest caliber.  Inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, Alice has toured and recorded continuously, with his most recent album being Welcome 2 My Nightmare .  Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original ground breaking, multi-platinum Welcome To My Nightmare album in 1975, the album picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.   Alice’s catalog of hits and anthems, including “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr Nice Guy,” School’s Out,” “Elected,” “Poison,” and others, are included in his current “Raise The Dead” show, which also features his musical tribute to his fallen friends John Lennon, Keith Moon, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix.  Currently, Alice’s touring band features the three guitar attack of Orianthi, Tommy Henriksen and Ryan Roxie, backed by bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel.   Additionally, “Nights With Alice Cooper,” Alice’s nightly radio show, is available in nearly 100 cities in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK.  The show features his favorite classic rock songs along with his insider anecdotes about many of the artists.

Motley Crue Announce Last Leg of Their Final Tour

Last week, Vince Neil mentioned during an interview that Motley Crue 's last-ever show will be on Dec. 31, 2015, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the city where it all started for them. The band just confirmed the date as part of the last leg of their Final Tour.

The Crue will hit cities like New York, Detroit, Chicago and Atlanta during their last swing thrugh North America. They'll also play Las Vegas sometime between Sept. 10, when they perform in Mexico City, and their final show on New Year's Eve. That date will be announced later. You can see the tour's last-leg tour dates below.

"We've been doing this for 34 years," Tommy Lee told ' Fox & Friends ,' where they showed up to announce the news. "We've done it all. We achieved everything we wanted to do. We want to go out with a bang instead of fizzle out."

"We wanted to go out as the same four guys who went in, with the same spirit," added Nikki Sixx . "We talked about this: 'How can we have a blast doing it?' It's been great. It's been fantastic."

The group -- which appeared on the morning show with tourmate Alice Cooper -- said that 'Home Sweet Home' will be the last song it will ever play and admit that it will be an emotional moment. Sixx even joked that maybe they should skip that one altogether, just so they don't shed any tears onstage.

The group announced its final tour a year ago, when they signed a Cessation Of Touring Agreement at a press conference. They spent most of 2014 on the road playing songs from their past 30 years.

But it won't all be over for Motley Crue after the tour. They're also assembling "the ultimate collector’s album package," which will be released later this year. The album will include the new track 'All Bad Things.'

UPDATE 1/24: Motley Crue have added a second show at the Staples Center for Dec. 30. The full list of dates can be found below.

MÖTLEY CRÜE Announces 'The Final Tour' Details

After more than three decades together, MÖTLEY CRÜE announced today their Final Tour and the band's ultimate retirement. The announcement was solidified when the band signed a formal Cessation Of Touring Agreement, effective at the end of 2015, in front of global media in Los Angeles today. Celebrating the announcement of this Final Tour , the band will perform on ABC 's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" tonight and will appear on "CBS This Morning" tomorrow, January 29.

With over 80 million albums sold, MÖTLEY CRÜE has sold out countless tours across the globe and spawned more than 2,500 MÖTLEY CRÜE branded items sold in over 30 countries. MÖTLEY CRÜE has proven they know how to make a lasting impression and this tour will be no different; Fans can expect to hear all the band's hits and look forward to mind-blowing, unparalleled live production.

"When it comes to putting together a new show we always push the envelope and that's part of MÖTLEY CRÜE 's legacy," explains Nikki Sixx (bass). "As far as letting on to what we're doing, that would be like finding out what you're getting for Christmas before you open the presents. We think in an age of too much information, we'd like to keep some surprises close to our chest until we launch The Final Tour ."

The Final Tour presented by Dodge and produced by Live Nation will kick off in North America on July 2 in Grand Rapids, Michigan and reach 72 markets before hitting international territories in 2015. To Live Nation , MÖTLEY CRÜE tours are not only box office successes but artistically their shows have set the bar for production and entertainment value.

"There's no arguing that MÖTLEY CRÜE have been and always will be the definitive bad boys of rock and roll," says Rick Franks , Live Nation 's regional president of North America Concerts. "But behind all those notorious stories is a legendary rock band that has revolutionized heavy metal and created some of the biggest hits in music history. They are a hugely successful global brand and a touring powerhouse. Everyone at Live Nation has a tremendous amount of respect for these hard-working and extremely talented gentlemen. The music industry will never have another MÖTLEY CRÜE ."

The Dodge brothers were a notorious duo, so it seemed only natural to partner with the World's Most Notorious Rock Band.

"Whenever I talk to people about MÖTLEY CRÜE , the common thread is how cool and relevant the band remains even after 33 years," said Tim Kuniskis , president and CEO, Dodge brand, Chrysler Group LLC . "This irreverent 'staying power' resonates deeply with the Dodge brand as we turn the corner on our 100 year anniversary. What better way to celebrate the band's final tour and the 25th anniversary of 'Kickstart My Heart' than to do it together?"

Fans can look forward to very special guest ALICE COOPER joining MÖTLEY CRÜE for an incredible package — Alice invented the genre and MÖTLEY CRÜE put steroids in it!

"Real hard rock bands are hard to find these days," said Alice , " MÖTLEY has always gone on stage with one attitude and that's to blow the audience away. That's exactly how we do it. Putting MÖTLEY CRÜE and Alice Cooper together is going to be just what this summer really NEEDS. We're going to go out there and tear it up, and I can't wait to see MÖTLEY on stage. MÖTLEY CRÜE and Alice Cooper — A match made in... Armageddon?"

As documented in the Cessation Of Touring Agreement the band signed at the press conference today, the band will not tour after this Final Tour . Band attorney Doug Mark of Mark Music & Media Law explains: "Other bands have split up over rancor or the inability of people to get along, but this is mutual among all four original members and a peaceful decision to move on to other endeavors and to confirm it with a binding agreement."

Vince Neil , Nikki Sixx , Tommy Lee , and Mick Mars will go their separate ways after the lengthy two-year touring cycle. Tommy Lee (drums) explains: "Everything must come to an end!! We always had a vision of going out with a big fucking bang and not playing county fairs and clubs with 1 or 2 original band members! Our job here is done!!!" Of the band's tumultuous history, Mick Mars (guitar) adds: "(It has been) more drama than 'General Hospital' — it keeps 'em watchin' and they keep comin' back." Vocalist Vince Neil says of the finality of the tour: "I'll miss playing with the guys but I won't quit playing rock and roll!! I feel there are a lot of great opportunities and exciting projects after MÖTLEY ."

The Final Tour will coincide with the film made from MÖTLEY CRÜE 's New York Times best-selling book "The Dirt" . Jeff Tremaine ( "Bad Grandpa" ) has signed on to direct the opus that is set to debut in theaters globally in 2015, coinciding with The Final Tour . "The Dirt" is not only one of the best selling rock books of all time but also one of the greatest rock books of all time because of its brutal honesty, its unique voice, its multiple perspectives on the same events and its first-person inclusion of all members of the same band. Most rock memoirs are salacious mud-slinging accounts of a single person and MÖTLEY CRÜE was adamant to include the perspectives of all four of its members. Tremaine's intention is to make, not just a great movie about a band, but a great movie about four misfits who, despite themselves and everyone else, band together to overcome the odds and change the history of rock and roll.

" 'The Dirt' is a movie I've wanted to make ever since I read the book in 2002," says Tremaine . "I relate to the story on so many levels; my whole professional career has been about boys behaving badly, so I have a real connection to the material. It's awesome to be working with the band at such an exciting time in MÖTLEY CRÜE 's history." The film will be produced by the members of MÖTLEY CRÜE , Rick Yorn , Julie Yorn , Erik Olsen and 10th Street Entertainment .

Big Machine Records , home to country superstars such as Taylor Swift and Tim McGraw has teamed up in a joint venture with Mötley Records and Eleven Seven Music for the summer 2014 release of a country music tribute to MÖTLEY CRÜE . Big Machine founder and CEO, Scott Borchetta , is among the legion of country music fans who love MÖTLEY CRÜE . The country tribute album will show off the band's quality songwriting with these fresh takes on their classic hit songs. Among the artists already confirmed to be featured on the country tribute album is Florida Georgia Line . Borchetta says of the collaboration, "I have been a not-so-secret CRÜE fan from the beginning. When manager Chris Nilsson called with the idea for a tribute album on Big Machine Records , it was an immediate 'yes' from me! Our album will highlight just how great the MÖTLEY CRÜE song catalog is. At the end of the day, that's what will stand the test of time."

MÖTLEY CRÜE Fan Club members will get the exclusive first crack at tickets and VIP Packages, via a unique code, beginning on Wednesday, January 29 starting at 10 a.m. local time. VIP ticket packages will be made available to the general public on Thursday, January 30 at 10 a.m. local time. The general public ticket on-sale for most shows is Friday, January 31. All tickets and packages can be obtained via Ticketmaster.com .

Motley Crue

Though Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil predicts that the emotions of saying farewell “aren’t really gonna hit anybody really hard until that last week, when we’re really saying goodbye in Los Angeles,” there have been some moments where the reality of The Final Tour is sinking in.

See latest videos, charts and news

“We just played Japan,” Neil tells Billboard , “and saying goodbye in Tokyo after a couple nights there, it was like, ‘Wow, I’m never gonna be back on this stage doing this with Motley again.’ There’s a finality there. Or Madison Square Garden; I got a little choked up because I know I’m not gonna play Madison Square Garden with Motley Crue again. But, y’know, we’re still on tour. There’s still another city to go and play the next day. There’s a lot of places we’ve still got to go.”

Motley Crue’s Final Tour Rolls On

Trending on Billboard

The Crue has in fact, announced another 21 dates that will be the last shows added to The Final Tour itinerary leading up to the three shows that will end the year and the band’s touring career on Dec. 28, 30 and 31 at the Staples Center. The Crue is currently on break but gets back to it May 9 with a seven-show run through Australia and New Zealand, followed by three European festival appearances before returning to North America on July 22 that will take the group through the closing nights in Los Angeles.

“That seems like a long way off,” Neil says. “After the (last) show, everyone will go home and be like…’Wow, that’s it.’ It’s gonna be a tough one. It’s gonna be hard after that last show to realize, ‘Yeah, Mick’s not over to my left anymore. Nikki’s not over to my right and Tommy’s not behind me.’ That’s the only thing that’s gonna suck about when we’re not together anymore. So you just kind of cherish these moments now with the guys, as a band.”

“I’ll miss the guys, you know?” says bassist Nikki Sixx, noting what he’ll most miss about no longer touring with the band he co-founded more than 30 years ago. “I’ll miss the music that we made. We made some great music. I know those guys more than anybody knows them and they know me more and we’ve been through the highest highs together and the lowest lows. We’ve done things that are unbelievable in our life both good and bad.”

Tommy Lee Recruits Fans for New Methods of Mayhem Album

For the last North American run, the Crue will be adding seats for fans on its Crue’s Nest, a platform that rises at the end of the show as the group performs “Home Sweet Home.” The Crue also plans to add its single, “All Bad Things,” to the set this year. As for surprise guests who might join the group for the final shows, Neil says, “There’s always talk about those, especially in Los Angeles because a lot of people live there. The one thing we don’t want to do is disrupt the actual show. It’s great to have people come out and jam and do things, but we still want to give people the show. We’re not a jam band.”

“So I really don’t know what we have planned for that last night. We have so much time to plan it out. There might be some people who come up onstage. I just don’t know.”

Sixx says of the band’s last stand, “We’re starting those conversations now. In true Motley Crue tradition, we’ll blow every dollar that we make just blowing the place up.

“It’s a nice way to end,” he adds of the Staples Center dates. “We came from L.A.; we came from the gutters of Los Angeles, and [it’s nice] to be able to end it with three nights sold out in Los Angeles with the same original four band members.”

Motley Crue Talk Final Tour

Motley Crue determined the new North America dates by encouraging fans to tell it which cities it should play next by using #DemandTheCrue on Motley’s social media pages. “We’ve always been very blue collar in that sense in letting fans really be involved in a lot of our decisions like set lists and where we play,” says Sixx. “In this type of this situation, it was a fun thing to do that you couldn’t do earlier in our career because [the technology wasn’t there].”

Due to overwhelming demand, @motleycrue revealed their last additional Final Tour dates! RSVP http://t.co/FYMVSsVc0Y https://t.co/pWJgk60mHe — Live Nation (@LiveNation) April 21, 2015

Neil adds that no determination has been made yet about recording and filming any of the shows. And the film adaptation of the 2001 band autobiography The Dirt  — which will be directed by Jeff Tremaine of Jackass  fame and distributed by Focus Features — seems to be on the back burner at the moment, although a script is in place and there’s been talk about bringing cast members on the road for a kind of Motley Crue Boot Camp once they’re hired.

“Obviously that hasn’t happened yet,” Neil notes. And, he promises, the final shows won’t necessarily be the last we hear from the Crue, either. “We’ve never said we were breaking up,” he notes. “We just said we’re not touring anymore. We’re gonna be definitely making more music together for different projects and stuff. But right now we’re really just focused on doing these shows this year.”

The Crue’s upcoming final North American itinerary now includes:

Oct. 5 – Hidalgo, TX @ State Farm Arena Oct. 7 – Dallas, TX @ American Airlines Center Oct. 8 – Little Rock, AR @ Verizon Arena Oct. 10 – Evansville, IN @ The Ford Center Oct. 11 – Lexington, KY @ Rupp Arena Oct. 13 – Grand Rapids, MI @ Van Andel Arena Oct. 14 – Buffalo, NY @ First Niagra Center Oct. 16 – Bridgeport, CT @ Webster Bank Arena Oct. 17 – Manchester, NH @ Verizon Wireless Arena Oct. 18 – Bangor, ME @ Cross Insurance Center Dec. 4 – Lincoln, NE @ Pinnacle Bank Arena Dec. 7 – Sioux Falls, SD @ Denny Sanford Premier Center Dec. 8 – Grand Forks, ND @ Alerus Center Dec. 10 – Saskatoon, SA @ SaskTel Centre Dec. 12 – Edmonton, AB @ Rexall Place Dec. 13 – Calgary, AB @ ScotiaBank Saddledome Dec. 15 – Portland, OR @ Moda Center Dec. 19 – Phoenix, AZ @ U.S. Airways Center Dec. 20 – San Diego, CA @ Viejas Arena Dec. 22 – Anaheim, CA @ Honda Center Dec. 27 – Las Vegas, NV @ MGM Arena Dec. 28 – Los Angeles, CA @ Staples Center Dec. 30 – Los Angeles, CA @ Staples Center Dec. 31 – Los Angeles, CA @ Staples Center

Motley Crue Reveal More Tour Dates, Talk New Stage Additions

By Dan Epstein

Dan Epstein

Never ones to go gently into that good night, Mötley Crüe  have announced the addition of 21 new North American dates to their already extensive farewell run.

The new shows, scheduled for October and December, will see the legendary hard rock band hitting smaller markets like Little Rock, Ark. and Lincoln, Neb. in the U.S., and Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon in Canada. All of the new dates will take place in arenas, thus enabling the Crüe to deliver the full effects of their Final Tour stage show.

“On the first leg of this tour, we went back and forth between outdoor places and arenas,” Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx tells Rolling Stone . “As much as we love playing outside, it’s frustrating when you can only use a certain percentage of your production. We decided we wanted to wrap up the tour this way, in a controlled environment where all the elements of the show are amplified.”

“The indoor production is fucking insane!” adds Crüe drummer Tommy Lee . “You need a full-on roof to mount the ‘Cruecifly’ drum rollercoaster, because it actually flies out over the audience about 200 feet to the very back of the arena!”

A new addition for the indoor shows will be “The Crüe’s Nest,” a levitating platform located at the opposite end of the venue from the stage, which will raise the band during the last song of the set, taking a number of fans along with them.

“We always want to try to find a way to involve our fans,” Sixx explains. “So why not take them for a ride with us? We have a ‘B’ stage that goes up about 40 feet in the air, so we were like, ‘Why don’t we just strap a bunch of fans to it?’ Of course, our production manager was like, ‘Well, you can’t really just tie fans to a stage with a rope!’ [ Laughs ] We had to build special seats with harnesses and seatbelts, but it’s really cool — it’ll be like an amusement park ride!”

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history.

The Final Tour, which kicked off last July, played to nearly 1 million fans in 72 cities last year, grossing more than $45 million. The tour will conclude on New Year’s Eve at Los Angeles’ Staples Center and the band is currently hatching plans for the final blowout. “I can just tell you that, if the Staples Center is still standing on January 1 st , I’ll be surprised,” Lee says, laughing. “Hopefully we’ll be on the fucking news. ‘20,000 Fans Had More Fun Than Humans Are Allowed To Have!’ — that’ll be the headline.”

“I can only imagine it’s going to be something nuts,” adds Sixx. “I mean, we have to wear fire retardant on our clothes in our show now — and if that’s the starting point, I don’t know what we’re going to have to do. Wear fire suits and helmets? Put a steel wall in front of the audience, so they don’t burn up with us? Maybe we’ll go out in a ball of flames. Wouldn’t that be perfect?”

A celebration of 34 years of Mötley music and mayhem, the band’s Final Tour will be heading to Australia and New Zealand in May, and will take the band to European festivals in June before returning to North America in July. For some of the band members, it’s been an intensely emotional ride so far.

“It’s like a big bag of mixed emotions that’s just nonstop,” Lee says. “At the very end of the show, when I’m at the piano and playing ‘Home Sweet Home,’ that’s the point where I start to realize, ‘Holy fuck, this is it, dude — this is the last time I’m going to play for these guys!’ You’re dealing with the moment, you’re looking at what you’ve done and what you’ve accomplished, and there are 20,000 people there giving you the most amazing send-off that you could ever fucking want… and you’re sitting there going, ‘What is happening? I can’t even deal with this right now!’

“I’ve had some tears before; other times, I’m smiling, because it’s like, ‘Wow, this is insane — look at all these people!,’ he adds. “I’m getting emotional just talking about it. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll even get a grasp on what’s happening until it’s over.”

“I think the last night of the tour will be interesting,” adds Sixx. “I don’t know what it will feel like. I’m kind of looking forward to it just being a surprise. Your whole life, your highest highs and lowest lows spent with three other men, and you’ve done things together that people only dream about… and it’s like your last day of work, so to speak. Do I get a gold watch and a pat on the back?”

“I guess it won’t hit me ’til the very end,” admits Crüe guitarist Mick Mars. “The last couple of gigs might be a little weird, but I don’t think it’s going to be one of those things where we never see each other again; we’re still going to have our corporation, Motley Crue , Inc., and we still conduct a lot of [our business] stuff there. And I’m not going to spread any rumors,” he laughs, “but you never know! A couple of us may get together and throw something out, just for the heck of it. If that happens, it happens; if it doesn’t, it’s okay, too.”

MOTLEY CRUE ANNOUNCE TWENTY-ONE MORE DATES FOR THEIR FAREWELL TOUR

  • April 21, 2015

motleycrue640

Says bassist Nikki Sixx, “The demand to add more shows in North America has been overwhelming. The fans have spoken, so we’ve been trying to find time for more dates in addition to the international dates on the schedule this year. We want to say goodbye to as many fans as possible so we added these shows around the holidays. No better way to spend them than with the people who have supported us over all these years.”

The new North American shows announced today will see the band visit cities such as Little Rock, Arkansas and Lincoln, Nebraska in the U.S. and Calgary, Edmonton and Saskatoon in Canada. All dates will be taking place in arenas exclusively to ensure fans get to experience the full show production of “The Final Tour.”

Leading up to today’s announcement, Motley Crue gave fans an opportunity to voice their thoughts on what additional cities they would like to see the band play. Fans shared their messages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #DemandtheCrue and could see the progress of the conversation via a heat map that was updated daily at: Motley.com/DemandTheCrue.

After thirty-four years performing together, Motley Crue’s 2015 leg of “The Final Tour” includes shows all across the globe. Next up, Motley Crue will head over to Australia and New Zealand in May for their last-ever shows there. June will see the band saying farewell to the European festival circuit with three massive performances at Download (UK), Sweden Rock (Sweden) and Nova Rock (Austria) festivals before taking their can’t-miss show back to the U.S., Canada, and Mexico this summer.

Motley Crue first announced plans for “The Final Tour” by signing a Cessation Of Touring Agreement at a press conference in Los Angeles in January 2014, solidifying the end of their touring career for December 2015. Since the announcement, the band has been touring tirelessly to say goodbye to fans around the world, most recently playing their final shows in Japan.

The 2014 leg of “The Final Tour” was one of last year’s top-grossing tours, selling close to a million tickets across 72 cities and grossing more than $45 million.

“Motley Crue’s ‘Final Tour’ has been a massive global success and a true testament to the popularity of this legendary rock band,” says Rick Franks, Live Nation’s regional president of North American concerts. “New Year’s Eve 2015 will mark the end of an era in rock history but there’s no doubt that MÖTLEY CRÜE’s music will influence generations of artists for years to come.”

Audiences can also expect a high-energy performance from very special guest Alice Cooper, who joined the band for “The Final Tour” in 2014. He will be tearing up the stage for crowds in Australia/New Zealand and across North America once again on most 2015 dates. The pairing has been roundly praised as a must-see by fans and media alike.

The band’s exclusive VIP Packages (including opportunities to meet band members, new exclusive merchandise, up-close and personal view of the encore performance like never before in the Crüesnest, and more) and fan club pre-sales for these dates start April 22. Check out VIP offers at MotleyVIP.com.

Local ticket pre-sales start this Thursday, April 23 at 10 a.m. local time before the public on-sale begins on Friday, April 24 at 10 a.m. local time with some dates going on sale on Saturday, April 25.

Mötley Crüe Confirm 2015 Australian Tour, Announce “Final” Show And Last Single

By Tom Williams

Hard rockers Mötley Crüe have confirmed their plans to bring the band’s last-ever world tour, aptly dubbed The Final Tour , to Australia in 2015. The band have also shared details of what will be their final performance together, and have released their final single, titled All Bad Things .

Posting on the official Mötley Crüe website , the LA band said “the 2015 leg of the Final Tour will see the band play Japan in February, then Australia/New Zealand in spring”. Presumably that is the American spring, which would mean Australian shows between March and June.

Mötley Crüe are then set to play 34 North American shows, marking 34 years of performing together, between July and September, all supported by Alice Cooper.

The band will also play Canada, Mexico and three European festivals. Mötley Crüe’s final show is set to take place in their home city on 31st December. The New Year’s Eve concert will take place in Los Angeles’ Staples Center, and will close out The Final Tour , after which the band will legally break up .

The band last toured Australia in early 2013 alongside KISS and Thin Lizzy.

Mötley Crüe’s final single, All Bad Things , was premiered on the tumblr page of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon , as a precursor to the band’s upcoming performance on the show this Thursday, 22nd January.

At the time of writing, the official video for All Bad Things been removed from YouTube on copyright grounds, but should return shortly. The song is available on iTunes .

Mötley Crüe are also giving away their greatest hits album for free this week. Available through Tuesday, 27th January, the album can be downloaded via the Google Play Store . The band are also currently putting together an ultimate collector’s album package, with more details on the package still to be announced.

– Band Announces Details of 2015’s Last Leg of Their “Final Tour”; 34 North American Dates to Mark 34 Years of Motley Crue – – New Single and Video Clip “All Bad Things” Out Today –

“Motley Crue’s Final Tour has been a massive global success and a true testament to the popularity of this legendary rock band,” says Rick Franks , Live Nation’s Regional President of North American Concerts.

24 at 10:00 a.m. local time. See below for a full list of dates. For VIP packages and ticket information, go to www.motley.com .

Following the North American summer shows, the band will take the Final Tour on more international dates this Fall before “all bad things come to an end” for good on New Year’s Eve 2015.

Coinciding with today’s announcement and the theme of the Final Tour, the band also released its new single “All Bad Things” this morning which is available for sale digitally here: http://smarturl.it/MC_AllBadThings .

Download the album through Tuesday, 1/27 here: http://goo.gl/3hg3Qw .

Recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin , who produced the original ground breaking, multi-platinum Welcome To My Nightmare album in 1975, the album picks up right where they left off, with Alice trapped in his own warped mind.   Alice’s catalog of hits and anthems, including “I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr Nice Guy ,” School’s Out,” “Elected,” “Poison,” and others, are included in his current “Raise The Dead” show, which also features his musical tribute to his fallen friends John Lennon , Keith Moon , Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix .  Currently, Alice’s touring band features the three guitar attack of Orianthi, Tommy Henriksen and Ryan Roxie , backed by bassist Chuck Garric and drummer Glen Sobel .   Additionally, “Nights With Alice Cooper,” Alice’s nightly radio show, is available in nearly 100 cities in the USA, Canada, Australia, and the UK.  The show features his favorite classic rock songs along with his insider anecdotes about many of the artists.
