General  This will be the 18th edition of the Tour de Ski since it was held for the first time in 2006/07. There have been nine different winners of the Tour de Ski.  Dario Cologna (4) has the most overall Tour victories. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (3), Alexander Bolshunov (2), Martin Johnsrud Sundby (2) and Lukáš Bauer (2) are the other men to have won the Tour de Ski more than once.  Klæbo (17) holds the men’s record for most stage wins in the Tour de Ski. Petter Northug is second on 13.  Klæbo is the only active man to have won the overall Tour de Ski. Simen Hegstad Krüger finished third in 2018/19 and runner-up in 2022/23.  The only male skier to win the Tour de Ski without claiming a stage in that edition is Alexander Legkov in 2012/13.  Val di Fiemme is the only venue to have been part of the Tour de Ski on all previous 17 occasions.  Davos will host a Tour de Ski event for the first time. Val Müstair (6) and Lenzerheide (5) represented Switzerland in the Tour de Ski in the previous 11 editions.  With a 25km freestyle pursuit in Toblach and a 20km classic style pursuit in Davos, there will be two 20km+ events in a single Tour de Ski for the first time since 2012.  Coming into this Tour de Ski, Norwegian male skiers won 27 of the 28 individual World Cup stages in 2023. The exception was Richard Jouve’s win in the sprint in Les Rousses on 28 January 2023. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo  Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won the overall Tour de Ski in 2018/19, 2021/22 and 2022/23. He can join Dario Cologna on a record four overall Tour wins on the men’s side.  Klæbo can become the first male cross-country skier to win the Tour de Ski in three successive seasons.  Klæbo won six of the seven Tour de Ski stages last season. He finished sixth in the final event, the 10km freestyle in Val di Fiemme on 8 January 2023.  Including 2021/22, Klæbo won nine of the last 11 Tour de Ski stages. The exceptions were Sjur Røthe’s win in Val di Fiemme on 4 January 2022 (10km freestyle) and Simen Hegstad Krüger’s win in Val di Fiemme on 8 January 2023 (10km freestyle).  Klæbo has won all eight Tour de Ski sprint stages he participated in. Other contenders  Simen Hegstad Krüger (2019/20 and 2022/23) can become the first male skier to win the hill climb, traditionally the final stage of the Tour de Ski, three times. Sjur Røthe (2018/2019 and 2021/22) is the only other active male skier to have won this stage, but he will not participate in the Tour de Ski this season.  Federico Pellegrino has won three stages in the Tour de Ski, all sprint freestyle events. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (8) is the only man to have won more sprint stages in the competition.  The best result for an Italian man in the overall standings was a third place for Giorgio Di Centa in 2007/08.  Pål Goldberg (33 years old) or Pellegrino (33) can become the oldest winner of the Tour de Ski. The record is currently held by Lukáš Bauer, who won his fourth Tour de Ski title at the age of 32.  Richard Jouve can become the first Frenchman to win won the Tour de Ski. France has won three stages in the competition, but not since Maurice Manificat won the 9km pursuit freestyle in Val di Fiemme on 8 January 2017.  Iivo Niskanen finished third in the overall Tour in 2021/22, the best result by a male skier from Finland. Virpi Kuitunen won the women’s competition in both 2006/07 and 2008/09.  Norwegian skiers won 12 of the last 13 Tour de Ski stages. The exception wasNiskanen’s win in the 15km classic style in Lenzerheide on 29 December 2021.  Andrew Musgrave has competed in 12 Tour de Skis, with a 15th place in 2017/18 as his best result in the overall standings. Musgrave’s best finish in a Tour de Ski stage is a fourth place in the 15km mass start freestyle in Oberstdorf on 31 December 2021.  Sweden has never won the overall standings of the men’s Tour de Ski. Marcus Hellner finished second in 2011/12 and Calle Halfvarsson was third in 2014/15.  Sweden’s last stage win in the Tour de Ski was the sprint classic victory for Oskar Svensson in Val di Fiemme on 9 January 2021.

Virpi Kuitunen won the inaugural edition.  Norwegian athletes have won the women’s Tour de Ski a record seven times, but not since Therese Johaug’s victory in 2019/20.  Four active female cross-country skiers have won the overall Tour: Heidi Weng (2, 2016/17 and 2017/18), Jessica Diggins (1, 2020/21) and Frida Karlsson (1, 2022/23)  Davos will host a Tour de Ski event for the first time. Val Müstair (6) and Lenzerheide (5) represented Switzerland in the Tour de Ski in the previous 11 editions.  The last three stages of this season’s Tour de Ski will be held in Val di Fiemme. It is the only venue to have been part of the Tour de Ski on all previous 16 occasions.  This Tour de Ski will feature a 25km freestyle pursuit event in Toblach on New Year’s Day. It will be the longest event in the women’s Tour de Ski history. Norway  Norwegian women have won the Tour de Ski a record seven times (every occasion between 2013/14 and 2019/20).  Norway’s only win in the World Cup this season was Kristine Stavåvas Skistad’s win in the sprint in Trondheim on 15 December 2023.  Norway has won the most podium finishes in Tour de Ski stages on the women’s side (148), as well as the most wins (48).  Heidi Weng is looking for her third overall win in the Tour de Ski. The only women to have won the Tour de Ski more than two times are Justyna Kowalczyk (4) and Therese Johaug (3).  Besides her two Tour de Ski victories (2016/17 and 2017/18), Weng has recorded third-place finishes in the overall standings in four editions (2013/14, 2014/15, 2015/16 and 2021/22). Among women, only Therese Johaug (7) has recorded more podium finishes in the overall standings of the Tour de Ski than Weng (6).  Weng (31) is joint-first on 31 podium finishes in Tour de Ski stages (5 stage wins), alongside Petter Northug (31).  Each of Weng’s five stage wins in the Tour de Ski came in Val di Fiemme. She recorded 12 of her 31 stage finishes in the Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme. Ebba Andersson  Ebba Andersson hopes to become the third Swedish female winner of the Tour de Ski, after Charlotte Kalla (2007/08) and Frida Karlsson (2022/23).  Andersson finished third in the overall Tour in 2020/21 and second in 2021/22. Only Therese Johaug (G3-S3-B1) and Ingvild Flugstad Østberg (G1-S2-B1) have recorded first-, second- and third-place podium finishes in the overall standings in the Tour de Ski.  No female skier has finished on the final podium of one of the five Tours (3- Days Tour, Ski Tour, Ski Tour Canada, Tour de Ski and World Cup Final) as often without claiming victory as Andersson (4).  Andersson finished on the podium in 10 of the last 14 World Cup distance events she participated in, including six wins.  Andersson won the hill climb in Val di Fiemme, traditionally the final stage of the Tour de Ski, back in 2020/21. Only Therese Johaug (8) and Weng (2) have won this stage multiple times.  Only Charlotte Kalla (10) has achieved more Tour de Ski stage podium finishes than Andersson (9) among Swedish skiers. Other contenders  Frida Karlsson can become the third back-to-back winner of the Tour de Ski, after Justyna Kowalczyk (4, 2009/10-2012/13) and Heidi Weng (2, 2016/17-2017/18).  Karlsson (24 years old) can become the first woman to win the overall Tour de Ski multiple times before her 25th birthday. Compatriot Charlotte Kalla (20 years old in 2008) is the only other woman to win the overall Tour before her 25th birthday.  Jessie Diggins won the Tour de Ski in 2020/21 and is still the only nonEuropean athlete (male or female) to have claimed a Tour de Ski title.  Krista Pärmäkoski finished second in the Tour de Ski in 2016/17 and third in 2018/19. She can become the second Finnish woman to win the Tour de Ski after Virpi Kuitunen in 2006/07 (first edition) and 2008/09.  No skier has finished on the podium in as many Tour de Ski stages without winning one as Pärmäkoski (11).  Emma Ribom secured a podium finish in eight of the last 10 World Cup sprint events she participated in, including four wins.  Victoria Carl claimed her first win in the World Cup two weeks ago on 17 December, winning the 10km classic style in Trondheim.  The only female German stage winners in the Tour de Ski were Claudia Nystad in Oberhof on 27 December 2008 (2.8km freestyle) and Katharina Hennig in Val di Fiemme on 7 January 2023 (15km classic style).

Om Tour de Ski

Tour de Ski er langrennsløpernes motstykke til syklistenes Tour de France og skihoppernes hoppuke. Tour de Ski er blitt arrangert årlig siden oppstarten i 2006/07-sesongen.

Det arrangeres seks til ni renn i løpet av cirka ti dager rundt årsskiftet, og felles for alle sesongene er at siste etappe avsluttes opp slalåmbakken i Val di Fiemme. Tour de Ski inngår i verdenscupen i langrenn.

Før 2022-23 utgave av Tour de Ski ble det innført et nytt poengsystem som gjorde at vinneren mottok færre verdenscuppoeng enn tidligere.

«Monsterbakken» – Alpe Cermis

Siste etappe avsluttes opp slalåmbakken i Cavalese. Den ligger i fjellet Alpe Cermis, 2250 moh., og er den bratteste motbakken som noen gang er tatt med i verdenscupen i langrenn. Etappen går i fristil. Hele etappen er ti kilometer lang, mens selve bakken er 3,6 kilometer.

Utøverne klatrer 420 meter i høyde, med gjennomsnittlig stigning på 11,6 prosent og en maksimal helling på 28 prosent.

I slalåmbakken blir det plassert porter, som utøverne følger opp gjennom bakken. Disse går i svinger, så utøverne går ikke korteste vei til toppen. Etappen ble de 13 første tourene avholdt med jaktstart med startintervall etter sammenlagtstillingen etter foregående etapper. Dersom dette førte til for store tidsmessige avstander kunne juryen velge å bruke en «bølgestart».

I det første året av Tour De Ski (2006/2007) vurderte flere utøvere, blant annet en rekke norske, å legge feller på skiene når de kom inn i bakken. Dette satte FIS en stopper for på kvelden før etappen.

I de 13 første utgavene av Tour de Ski ble etappen avviklet med jaktstart slik at første person i mål også var vinner av touren sammenlagt. I 2019 ble det innført fellesstart på denne etappen.

Under en pressekonferanse tirsdag formiddag offentliggjorde Barcelonas ordfører, Jaume Collboni, at Tour de France 2026 vil starte i den baskiske hovedstaden.

Olympiatoppen tok tirsdag ut den tredje gruppen utøvere til OL i Paris.

Norges Skiforbund Telemark har uttatt utøvere på landslaget sesongen 2024-2025.

Det er vekst i randonee og alpint, men totalen viser at medlemsmassen i Norges Skiforbund fortsetter å krympe i 2023.

En av lagets største stjerner er skuffet etter at Uno X har offentliggjort hvem som skal sykle årets Tour de France.

Tour de Ski 2023/2024: Overall standings ahead of the Final Stage 

Tour de Ski 2023/2024 had its sixth stage this Saturday in Val di Fiemme, Italy. These are the overall standings after Tour de Ski Stage 6.

Tour de Ski 2023/2024 is heading to the final event this Sunday. Here, you can find the overall standings after Saturday’s 15km mass start race in classic technique.

Now in its 18th edition, Tour de Ski consists of seven competitions over nine days in three different locations and two countries. 

The event started on Saturday, December 30, 2023, with a sprint in freestyle technique in Toblach, Italy, and ends on January 7, 2024, with a 10km Final Climb in freestyle technique in Val di Fiemme, Italy. See below the overall standings after Tour de Ski Stage 6.

Tour de Ski race hots up after Svahn secures Davos double

There were fireworks on and off the track in Davos on Wednesday as the 2023/24 FIS Tour de Ski rolled into the Swiss Alps for the crucial fourth stage.

It was here that Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo (NOR) – the undisputed king of cross-country skiing over the shorter distance – contracted flu while training at altitude in preparation for the Tour, ruling him out of this season’s seven-race showpiece.

This allowed the other sprint stars to step into the limelight – and they duly obliged. Racing under floodlights with trackside pyrotechnics and a noisy post-work crowd boosting the atmosphere, Linn Svahn (SWE) and Lucas Chanavat (FRA) each made it two sprint victories in a row.

And while the Frenchman will focus on winning the World Cup sprint title, leaving the race for the men’s yellow bib wide open, Svahn’s win leaves her very much in contention for the women’s crown.

It was another Swede, Jonna Sundling, who posted the fastest time in women’s afternoon qualifying, but after being beaten by Svahn at the finish line in Toblach, Italy on Thursday, the Olympic and double World Champion failed to make it to the semi-finals here, with fellow sprint stars Kristine Stavaas Skistad (NOR) and Emma Ribom (SWE) edging her out in the first of the quarter-finals.

In the semi-finals, it was Ribom’s turn to suffer some misfortune. The 26-year-old – winner of two sprint classics in this season’s World Cup – crashed on an increasingly icy final corner, allowing Skistad through.

There were no such problems for Svahn, who hit the front in each of the knockout rounds. And there she stayed, including in the final, despite the presence of fellow front runners Skistad and Jessie Diggins (USA). The 24-year-old, whose first World Cup victory came at this venue in 2019 when she had just turned 20, looked a class apart throughout.

She said: “My plan was to go hard on the second [lap] climb if had the energy left so when I came to the top in a good position I just pushed over the hill and felt pretty strong in the final straight also, so it was a nice feeling.”

Svahn crossed the line in 2 minutes 32.35 seconds, 1.3 seconds ahead of Skistad who, despite her reputation as a strong finisher, was again left for dead by the speedy Swede, as she was in Toblach.

It was a good day too for Diggins, who praised the “positive energy” in the US team after she stayed out of trouble to take third in 2:34.08. She retains her lead at the top of the Tour standings – 33 seconds ahead of Svahn – and extends her overall World Cup advantage.

Pellegrino poised to strike after Chanavat wins again

Like Svahn, Chanavat was in a league of his own in the men’s event. The sprint specialist was a controversial inclusion in Wednesday’s race after the Jury allowed him to continue the Tour despite his overall time being well beyond the cut-off point that rules normally permit.

And the 29-year-old took full advantage of the absence of Klaebo and teammate Jules Chappaz, who failed to make it past afternoon qualifying, to dominate every round.

Edvin Anger (SWE) and Federico Pellegrino (ITA) were the other big winners from day one in Davos.

At 21, the giant Swede’s potential is no secret and he started to make good on it with a first individual World Cup podium, finishing 0.25s behind Chanavat.

Pellegrino, meanwhile, has flown somewhat under the radar after a quiet start to the season, and looked like a spent force after the sprints in Toblach. And although the veteran Italian never looked like repeating his heroics of last year, when he beat Klaebo in Davos, third place this time puts him just 25 seconds off the men’s Tour lead.

That belongs to Harald Østberg Amundsen (NOR) who had a mixed day. In the first quarter-final, he crashed out on the final corner of the first lap after a clash of skis with Austrian Benjamin Moser. “I was a little close in that curve, and then I felt the back of my skis move,” Amundsen, who threw his poles to the ground in disgust, said. “I was thinking a lot of words that are not okay to say at the moment."

Those vibes would have improved a little when Erik Valnes (NOR), his closest challenger for the Tour title and clearly feeling the effects of two distance races in Toblach, failed to take advantage of Amundsen’s misfortune. The sprint specialist trailed in well off the pace in the second semi-final, leaving his compatriot with an 11-second lead heading into Thursday’s 20km Classic Pursuit.

Tour de Ski je série závodů v běhu na lyžích, která v roce 2006 vznikla po vzoru cyklistické Tour de France. Závody za krátký čas prověří především všestrannost závodníků. Současně jsou na programu závody mužů i žen.

18. ročník závodů Tour de Ski, které patří do Světového poháru v klasickém lyžování, se uskuteční v italských střediscích Toblach a Val di Fiemme, mezi nimi se vměstná švýcarský Davos. Nebude chybět ani závěrečná etapa s obávaným výstupem na Alpe Cermis, kde si závodníci většinou sáhnou až na dno.

Českým závodníkům se loňské TdS docela vydařilo. Michal Novák byl 2× v elitní desítce a celkově skončil 11., solidní umístění zapsaly i ženy. Nejlépe na tom byla Kateřina Razýmová na finální 17. příčce. Letos už ale umístění nevylepší, ukončila totiž kariéru.

Letošní ambice jsou ještě vyšší, zvlášť když se stále nebudou moci zúčastnit tradičně silní ruští závodníci a závodnice. Spolu s Bělorusy jsou vyřazeni ze všech závodů SP v klasickém lyžování kvůli vojenské invazi na Ukrajinu.

Zatímco Toblach uvidíme v rámci TourDeSki už podvanácté a Val di Fiemme nechybělo ani jednou, Davos zažije velkou premiéru . Dosud se na švýcarské půdě jelo jen ve střediscích Lenzerheide a Val Müstair.

Tour de Ski má spoustu vítězů – nejúspěšnější v mužích je  Dario Cologna (4 tituly), v ženách pak Justyna Kowalczyk (rovněž 4 prvenství). Vítězství na Tour de Ski také zároveň běžce na lyžích velmi přiblíží celkovému trimfu ve Světovém poháru.

13. ročník závodů v klasickém lyžování Tour de Ski se uskuteční v italském Toblachu, švýcarském Val Müstair, německém Oberstdorfu a vše vyvrcholí opět v italském středisku – Val di Fiemme . V minulosti se některé etapy konaly i v Praze a Novém Městě na Moravě.

Ugresha Monastery

Nikolo-Ugreshsky Monastery is a walled stauropegic Russian Orthodox monastery of St. Nicholas the Miracle-Worker located in a suburb of Moscow formerly known as Ugreshi and now called Dzerzhinsky. It is the town's main landmark and is featured on the . The monastery is known to have existed as early as 1521, when the Tatar horde of Mehmed I Giray reduced Ugreshi to ashes.
