Third World are a band that have been around for over forty years. They have had a huge career having been signed to Island, Columbia and Mercury Records. With a Reggae sound that is made up of one part soul and two parts musicality, Third World have a queue that is out of the door and down the street ready for this huge show tonight. Eventually the doors are open and punters line up along the bars fueling liquid confidence and what not.
âNow That We Found Loveâ, the bands biggest single has every person in the audience, young or old, singing along to this huge music. They endorse a sort of ârootsâ style of Reggae, that is so infectious that everyone is as close to the stage as they can be, getting their fill of this wonderful music. âItâs The Same Old Songâ gets this slightly inebriated audience bouncing throughout the duration of the rest of this show.

Cavalera Announce âThird World Trilogyâ Tour Dates
Extreme metal legends Cavalera revisit their classic âSchizophreniaâ album and announce the âThird World Trilogyâ UK & EU Tour Dates…
Cavalera has become synonymous with extreme metal music, a name that to this day still holds the highest regard, a family legacy built upon decades of musical aggression. In 2023, Max and Iggor Cavalera achieved what some would say was an impossible feat; they revisited their earliest releases, Morbid Visions , and Bestial Devastation , and re-recorded them giving them a new, bone-breaking intensity.
It seems that the ball would not stop rolling as now they are entering the final chapter of their early-days trilogy. Schizophrenia is an iconic album in terms of early thrash and death metal, a household name for those of us invested in extreme metal. Decades later, they have revisited Schizophrenia , the re-recording of which will be unleashed unto to world on June 21st via Nuclear Blast Records .
The first taste of the re-issue comes in the form of the live music video for the single. âEscape To The Voidâ . Fans will enjoy footage filmed by Costin Chioreanu and Olivia Chioreanu from the bandâs chilling performance at 013 Venue in Tilburg, Netherlands, 2023.
Max Cavalera states:
âThe Third World Trilogy is finally complete with Schizophrenia , Bestial Devastation , and Morbid Visions , all three Brazilian underground gems! To me, Schizophrenia is the ultimate death/ thrash experiment! I was inspired to take on the world and this recording shows my commitment is relentless! This one is for all the generations to enjoy! Play at Max volume!â
Iggor Cavalera comments:
â1987 was a very progressive year for metal, with releases like Celtic Frost Into The Pandemonium , Voivod Killing Technology , and Bathory Under The Sign Of The Black Mark , so it was no surprise on how we approached Schizophrenia pushing our boundaries from a black/death metal sound to a more thrash metal aesthetics. We still had some ideas from Morbid Visions and some new songs. Iâm very proud of the songwriting and even more proud of our re-recordings.â
This summer, Cavalera will be traveling across Europe and the UK on their Third World Trilogy tour. The trek will kick off on June 12th in Leicester and will make stops in Wroclaw, Oslo, and Barcelona before ending in Switzerland on July 21st.

Last week, Billboard revealed its year-end Boxscore charts , ranking the top tours, venues, and promoters of 2023. That coverage included analysis of the new wave of genre diverse artists crashing stadium stages, and in turn, our charts. This week, we are breaking down the yearâs biggest tours, genre by genre . Today, we continue with rock.
Rock music has been at the center of the touring industry for decades, with legendary acts like The Rolling Stones , U2 , and the Eagles controlling stadium calendars and delivering record-breaking grosses. That is still the case, as rock is responsible for more entries in the all-genre top 10, 20, 40 and 100 than any other genre.
But at 32.4% of all top 100 toursâ grosses, rock takes a dramatic hit from last yearâs 42.5% figure. Combined with pop, the two central genres have lost a third of their total market share since the pandemic, as pockets of Latin and K-pop acts take up prime Boxscore real estate. And as rock accounts for many of the oldest artists in the top 100, with Latin and K-pop bringing up the chartâs youngest names, the future of rock bands as touring titans is blurrier than it was 5-10 years ago.
But with a new round of legacy tours from â90s and â00s bands, plus steady arena grosses from 21st century acts like Arctic Monkeys, Greta Van Fleet and Imagine Dragons, there is still plenty of juice for the coming years.
Scroll to check out the top 10 highest-grossing tours by rock artists, with such acts qualifying due to recent performance on Billboard âs Top Rock Albums and/or Hot Rock Songs charts. Rankings are determined according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. All reported shows worldwide between Nov. 1, 2022 â Sept. 30, 2023 are eligible.
$76.8M / 597K tickets / 41 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 24
Phish is among the most consistent touring acts, regardless of genre. From its annual destination event in Mexico to its reliable runs of shows at Madison Square Garden, the jam-band legends continue to one-up themselves, after winding up at No. 31 on last yearâs all-genre ranking.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
$77.2M / 657K tickets / 18 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 23
Red Hot Chili Peppers repeat in the year-end rock breakdown with shows in Asia, Europe and North America. Still, the bandâs $77.2 million total doesnât include the $48.2 million from its co-headline shows with Post Malone in Australia.
$92.7M / 1M tickets / 45 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 20
Muse makes its first appearance among the year-end top 10 rock tours since 2013, when the glam-rock band earned $43.2 million while on The 2nd Law World Tour. The European leg did the heaviest lifting, with nine of the top 10 grosses of the year.
$95.7M / 692K tickets / 45 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 19
Blink is back with the biggest tour of its career. The original trio of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker reunited for 45 sold-out shows in North America and Europe. Things came to a head with two nights at Los Angelesâ BMO Stadium, where blink-182 grossed $8.8 million and sold 43,600 tickets.
Guns N' Roses
$96.2M / 888K tickets / 31 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 18
Guns Nâ Roses logs a second year between $90-100 million after being No. 8 on 2022âs genre Boxscore breakout. More shows after the tracking periodâs cutoff puts the rock icons on tap for the â24 ranking with $19.7 million already in the bank.
Dead & Company
$114.7M / 845K tickets / 28 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 15
Dead & Company played its farewell tour between May 19 and July 16, yielding its first $100 million summer since launching as a touring unit in 2015. The peak was a three-night run at San Franciscoâs Oracle Park to end the tour, earning $20.4 million from 118,000 tickets sold.
$125.8M / 1.2M tickets / 19 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: 14
Metallica grossed more than $10 million in seven markets between Europe and North America, doubling up in Montreal, Paris and more. The M72 World Tour continues with scheduled dates through Sept. 29, 2024.
Depeche Mode
$175.2M / 1.8M tickets / 47 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 9
The first of three rock acts in the all-genre top 10, Depeche Mode scores the biggest year of its touring career, blowing past 2017âs $123.5 million. Three shows at Mexico Cityâs Foro Sol on Sept. 21, 23 and 25 delivered the bandâs biggest gross ever, at $15.4 million from 195,000 tickets sold.
$210M / 1.3M tickets / 65 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 7
Elton John notches a fifth year on the year-end Boxscore recap with the Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, having topped the abridged 2020 report. After all was said and done, set a new record as the highest-grossing tour in Boxscore history, regardless of genre. Over 329 shows, the trek earned $939.1 million and sold six million tickets.
$342.5M / 3.2M tickets / 55 shows
All-Genre Top 100 Rank: No. 2
Switching places with John from last year, Coldplay takes top honors as the highest-grossing rock act of 2023. The bandâs spread covers shows in North and South America, as well as Europe, with dates in Asia and Australia in the 2024 tracking window. After kicking off in 2022, the Music of the Spheres Tour has brought in $664.5 million and sold 6.7 million tickets.

âItâs amazingâ: Hundreds welcome home world champion John John Florence
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The North Shore community welcomed home three-time world champion John John Florence on Friday afternoon.
The pride of Pupukea made his victorious return to Sunset Beach greeted by hundreds of friends and family.
âOh, itâs amazing. Itâs crazy just to come home to that. I really feel the support of that. It really makes this whole thing sink in,â said Florence.
This caps off a banner year for the pro surfer who welcomed his first child Darwin, made an appearance in the Olympics and his first world title since 2017.
Hawaiiâs John John Florence captures third world title with an incredible ride
âIt definitely feels like my best one yet, I donât know itâs just amazing to come home to this and yeah, I canât imagine it being any better,â said Florence.
A special moment for Florence who fought back from multiple injuries, setting an example for the next generation of surfers.
âThe world that we live in today kids donât have too much to look up to, we have a lot of the older generation thatâs always looking for the easy way out and things, so itâs always good for the kids to have someone to look up to and to know that someone from their community can do it they can also,â said Kaneohe resident, Rick Lastimosa.
Florence will now take some time to be with his family and enjoy the offseason.

Moscatel focused on securing third win and automatic promotion to the DP World Tour
Joel Moscatel is determined to lift a third Challenge Tour title this season in order to seal automatic promotion to the DP World Tour, as he prepares to tee it up in the Open de Portugal at Royal Ăbidos.
The Spaniard is enjoying a superb debut season on the Challenge Tour that includes a pair of victories, the first of which came in memorable fashion on home soil in the Challenge de EspaĂąa, before he followed that up with victory in the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge.
The 25-year-old entered the season in good form after securing his Challenge Tour card at DP World Tour Qualifying School in November and finishing in third place at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship on the DP World Tour the following week, but he admits his performances so far have exceeded expectations.
âI was feeling really good at the beginning of the season,â he said. âI knew I could do well, but I didnât think about how many times I could win.
âHaving the Challenge Tour card and playing well in Australia gave me a lot of confidence, but it was just nice to have a card and be able to play the full season.â
Moscatel currently lies fifth on the Road to Mallorca Rankings following those two victories and is in prime position to secure a DP World Tour card for next year, but he remains focused on continuing his good form and earning automatic promotion with another win this season.
âIâm in a great spot,â he added. âBut the pressure is not off because you want to finish as high as you can to get into the good tournaments next year.
âIn this new situation Iâm just trying to do my best, accepting all things, and trying to finish as high as I can.
âA third win would be amazing. That is a goal, but at the same time winning depends on a lot of things. As Iâve experienced twice this year, you have to be in that position to win but sometimes you canât control everything.â
The Spaniard is excited by the prospect of playing on golfâs Global Tour next year and feels his time on the Challenge Tour has been the ideal preparation for making the step up.
âIt will be amazing to compete on the DP World Tour,â he said. âIâm excited to see whatâs there and play against guys who have been playing amazing golf for the last fifteen years.
âI donât know how itâs going to be on the DP World Tour, but the guys on the Challenge Tour are really really good, they play amazing golf and its really tough to finish at the top. You have to play amazing golf all four days and even making the cut isnât easy.
âI think thatâs what prepares you well. Weâve seen from previous years that the guys who went up from the Challenge Tour were really prepared.â
Moscatel is part of a strong field in Portugal that includes fellow two-time winner this season, John Parry from England. Joining them are several DP World Tour winners, including former Portugal Masters champions Ălvaro QuirĂłs of Spain and Frenchman Alexander Levy, who triumphed on these shores in 2008 and 2014 respectively.
The first round of the Open de Portugal at Royal Ăbidos gets under way at 7:40am local time on Thursday, with Moscatel teeing it up alongside Parry and Denmarkâs Hamish Brown at 1:30pm.
Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen ready to enjoy surprise Amgen Irish Open bow
Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen admits he never thought he would be teeing it up at the Amgen Irish Open at the start of the season but he is eager to grasp his chance after securing promotion from the European Challenge Tour.

An emotional Ewen Ferguson clinched a spot at the Open Championship after winning the DP World Tour's BMW International Open in Germany.
Scottish player Ferguson's two-stroke victory in Munich left him as one of the highest five players in the top 20 on the Race to Dubai - alongside Jesper Svensson, Laurie Canter, Nacho Elvira and Matteo Manassero - who were not otherwise exempt for the 152nd Open at Royal Troon between July 18-21.
The 28-year-old finished on 18 under par after a four-under 68 on Sunday, with England's Jordan Smith - who shared the lead with Ferguson after three rounds - and Australia's David Micheluzzi tied for second on 16 under.

"The last four holes I felt like I was in a dream, I just didn't think this was actually happening. It was crazy. I was hitting it so well, hitting it so much further than usual.

Ferguson hopes to practice with Fleetwood ahead of Open
Ferguson later revealed that he had been planning to contest final qualifying for the Open Championship on Tuesday, but felt he was playing well enough to secure a place either in Munich or via the Genesis Scottish Open.
He added: "I didn't want to tire myself out. I felt like I could maybe win this week or maybe finish in the top 10 in Scotland and get my own spot that way, so we decided to pull out of Open qualifying.

"It's obviously a really good decision. It kept me fresh and I'm here with the trophy. I actually got a text from Tommy Fleetwood saying well done so I said to him, let's get a practice round in [at the Open] so I'm looking forward to that."
Ferguson's victory was his third on the DP World Tour and first since the ISPS Handa World Invitational in August 2022, which came five months after his maiden triumph at that year's Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Micheluzzi finished birdie, birdie, eagle to earn his share of second spot alongside Smith, whose title hopes were effectively ended when he found the water off the 16th tee as he tried to drive the green.
Scotland's Connor Syme and England's Matthew Southgate finished in joint fourth on 14 under with Southgate making an eagle at the sixth hole.
