P&O Unveil New Watertight Rules Changing Alcohol Limitations & Banning
P&O has imposed a new code of conduct for passengers that prohibits offensive clothing and places restrictions on the amount of alcohol brought onboard. The newly announced code states that each passenger aged 18 or older is allowed to bring only one bottle of wine, Champagne, beer, spirits or liqueur up to 1 litre during initial embarkation.

P&O Cruises changes alcohol allowance for embarking passengers
Previously, adult passengers were permitted to take one litre of wine, champagne, beer, spirits or liqueur on board when they embarked the ship. However, from May 7, the line has removed beer, spirits or liqueur from the list of permitted drinks, meaning passengers may only take one litre of wine or champagne on board.

You can take on board any soft drinks or water, but I assume if the pre-mixed cans have alcohol content then they would not be allowed in addition to your 1 litre of alcohol each. How much alcohol can I take on board, and how?
We are booked on one of the summer cruises, and because there is no on board credit we would like to take some drink with us to reduce the amount we spend on board. We don't drink much anyway, but at least if we can take some drink on board it will save us a few pennies.

The great news is that most cruise lines DO allow you to bring some alcohol on-board with you. However, the limits are usually pretty small - just one bottle of wine, or maybe Champagne.
