THIS WAS FUCKING AWESOME! It was the best night of me life! It was a big party and the show was amazing. Macklemore is just a great, inspiring and funny guy. He has songs with deep lyrics but also songs that you just want to sing along with really loud (that’s why I didn’t have a voice anymore the next morning). I will definitely see him next time he is in Holland again!

CONCERT REVIEW: Macklemore Celebrates New Album ‘BEN’ With Joyous Amsterdam Crowd

Macklemore , the Grammy-winning rapper known for hits such as Thrift Shop and Can’t Hold Us , brought his energetic performance to an ecstatic Amsterdam crowd last night as he celebrated the release of his new album BEN with support from Tones And I (who would also make a surprise entrance twice during the setlist of Macklemore ). The concert was a non-stop party, with Macklemore impressing the audience not only through his dynamic performance but also engaging with them on a personal level, zooming in on a fan who named their cat ‘ Macklemore ‘, which was brought up by the rapper a multitude of times throughout the evening.

Together with Tones And I , Macklemore opened his energetic set with album-opener CHANT , a powerful and bouncy track that set the tone for the rest of the night. As fans danced and sang along to every word, Macklemore delivered a passionate performance filled with hits from his extensive catalogue as well as new tracks from the new album, which includes a whole bunch of features including Collett , Morray & the aforementioned Tones And I . Obviously, not all of the artists featured on the album could be there, but Macklemore didn’t let that stop him from delivering an incredible show. Having recorded videos of the artists who couldn’t be there, he seamlessly integrated those clips into his set in a way that made it feel like they were actually present on stage. The impressive use of multimedia elements didn’t stop there – during the performance, Macklemore also projected various visuals on a large LED screen behind him to enhance the overall experience for the crowd and brought along pyro-effects and confetti cannons to take the energy level up a notch.

While Macklemore’s cause for the tour was the brand new album BEN , Macklemore did not shy away from old material, with a special mention to his debut album The Heist , which was featured the most on tonight’s rather short setlist with hit singles such as Thrift Shop , the Grammy-winning Same Love , and last but most definitely not least Can’t Hold Us , which was the last song of the evening, leaving the fans on a high note.

Macklemore’s setlist was somewhat abbreviated, with only 14 songs played over the course of 90 minutes, but the speeches in-between songs added a personal touch and helped connect with the audience. Personally, I would have preferred to have more songs included in the setlist, but there’s no denying that every song that was played life was adequately brought to life with Macklemore’s signature high-energy performance style. There was a certain charm about his humble and gracious stage presence as well – despite being a Grammy-winning artist with millions of fans around the world, Macklemore maintained a down-to-earth vibe.

Macklemore’s show is not our ordinary concert or genre for that matter, as we’re usually found at rock, metal and more alternative shows, but Macklemore’s performance gave off Twenty One Pilots vibes to us, which is a huge compliment in our book. Accompanied by an outstanding band and backup dancers, Macklemore left the audience buzzing with excitement from start to finish.

In conclusion, Macklemore’s recent tour was an impressive showcase of his versatile performance style, highlighted by the seamless integration of multimedia elements and the use of pyro-effects, confetti cannons, and LED projections. His music translates very well to a live audience and Macklemore impressed with his vocals, and the maintaining of the vocals throughout the evening even with the excessive jumping around on stage.

Macklemore announces 2023 tour dates

Multi-diamond certified, GRAMMY® award-winning artist Macklemore today unveiled the first leg of The Ben Tour, along with the official album artwork and pre-order/add/save the link for Macklemore’s forthcoming studio full-length titled  BEN,  to be released on March 3rd, 2023.

The 19-date European stretch, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on Tuesday 4th April 2023, at Dublin’s 3Arena, before the global hit-maker brings his electrifying show to cities in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Denmark before wrapping in Oslo, Norway on Tuesday, 9th May. The highly anticipated return to European stages comes after a huge year for Macklemore. Hot off the heels of his latest release ‘FAITHFUL’ feat. NLE Choppa, and accompanying Las Vegas stadium-fillers Imagine Dragons on their North American tour, 2022 also marked the 10-year anniversary release of his multiple GRAMMY® Award-winning album ‘The Heist,’ which spawned two #1 singles; the Diamond-certified “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us.”

Macklemore Announces 2023 European Tour Dates

Lately, Seattle-born Diamond-certified rapper Macklemore (born Ben Haggerty) has been in the news. Constantly.

The lyricist has released a number of hit songs from “Maniac” to “Chant,” and he’s also alerted fans that there will be a new album, Ben , in 2023, set to drop in the spring (March 3).

Not to mention, he recently opened up about addiction and a recent buy-in to the Seattle professional hockey team, The Kraken.

But Macklemore’s newest announcement is a string of European tour dates, which he recently tweeted about, saying, “UK & EUROPE! TICKETS ONSALE TMRW AT 10:00AM… DON’T SLEEP!”

Macklemore will venture out on 19 dates—this on the heels of a successful North American tour over the summer with Imagine Dragons—that will kick off on April 4 at Dublin’s 3Arena. Other stops include the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, and more. The tour wraps up in Oslo, Norway on May 9. More shows next year are also expected to be announced.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday (November 10) at 10 a.m. local time via  Ticketmaster .

Macklemore’s most recent single, “Faithful,” features NLE Choppa. But one of his first popular tracks, “Can’t Hold Us,” was recently certified Diamond, to go along with “Thrift Shop,” which had already garnered that honor.

Taylor Swift Confirms the End of ‘Eras Tour’ During 100th Show in Liverpool

The Eras Tour might really be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

During the tour’s 100th show in Liverpool, England, on Thursday, June 13, Taylor Swift confirmed that the long-running show will end in December.

“People have been like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?’” Swift, 34, told the sold-out crowd at Anfield stadium. “The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December. Like, that’s it.”

Fans had theorized that Swift might add additional dates to the tour, but its final stops are scheduled for Vancouver, Canada, between December 6-8.

Swift called the Eras Tour “the most exhausting, all-encompassing, but most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life.”

“I think that this tour has really become my entire life,” Swift explained. “It’s taken over everything. I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore. All I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mash-ups and think about what you might want to hear.”

The singer then thanked the rain-soaked fans in Liverpool and around the globe for their ability to turn the Eras Tour into the cultural phenomenon that it’s become.

“You have done so much to be with us, right?” Swift gushed. “You’ve made plans so far in advance, you planned what you were going to wear, you memorized lyrics, you got yourselves here, you figured out parking, you figured out transportation.”

She continued, “I want to spend the 100th show just thinking about that and living in this moment with you and being here with you. Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you put in to be with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows. So, thank you.”

The pop star kicked off the Eras Tour — which features an expansive set of more than 40 songs covering her entire career — in the United States in March 2023 and traveled throughout the country until August 2023. She subsequently embarked on the international leg of the tour, making stops in South America, Asia, Australia and Europe. Swift also documented the concert experience in her October 2023 movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour .

When Swift returned to her tour in May following a brief hiatus, she completely switched up the setlist , including songs from her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department , for the first time while performing in Paris. In addition to making the record a permanent part of the lineup, Swift debuted new costumes and cut some past songs.

The European leg of the tour will run through August , with Swift returning to the U.S. for several shows in the fall before closing out the venture in Canada in December.

Swift previously commemorated important dates on the tour with special surprises for her audience. During her 87th concert in Paris , she made several nods to boyfriend Travis Kelce , whose Kansas City Chiefs jersey number is 87. She wore his NFL team’s colors and sang a mash-up of “The Alchemy” (which is rumored to be about Kelce, 34) and “Treacherous.” She even gave Kelce — who was in the audience — a sweet shout-out, asking the crowd, “Can you believe this is our 87th show of the Eras Tour ?”

While performing her 89th show in Sweden, Swift paid tribute to her 1989 album with a mash-up of three songs from the record: “Say Don’t Go,” “Welcome to New York” and “Clean.”

Throughout the tour’s run, Swift has spoken about its impact on her.

“I’ve always had fun doing this. I can’t believe I get to do music as a career. That’s crazy,” she said at the Los Angeles premiere of her Eras Tour movie in October 2023. “I’ve always had so much fun doing it. I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on the Eras Tour . It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life.”

In December 2023, Swift told TIME that she wanted to “superserve the fans” with her biggest tour ever.

“They had to work really hard to get the tickets,” she explained. “I wanted to play a show that was longer than they ever thought it would be because that makes me feel good leaving the stadium.”

Swift noted that the Eras Tour made her “the most fulfilled I’ve ever felt” in her life.

“I know I’m going on that stage whether I’m sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable or stressed,” she continued. “That’s part of my identity as a human being now. If someone buys a ticket to my show, I’m going to play it unless we have some sort of force majeure.”

Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour is officially coming to an end. At the singer's June 13 show in Liverpool, she announced that her record-breaking tour will end in December. As of now, her last scheduled tour stop is Dec. 8 in Vancouver, Canada.

In the wake of the news, ET is taking a look back at the epic show and how it changed following the release of Swift's 11th studio album,  The Tortured Poets Department .

After taking a two-month hiatus  from her tour, Swift returned to the stage in May, welcoming fans at La Défense Arena in Paris.

According to social media users who posted from the concert, the first show of the European leg featured a new 45-song setlist that changed the order of certain eras -- including combining the Evermore  and Folklore eras -- and a bevy of changes to the singer's costumes, montages, and more.

Eras Tour Opening Act

While  Sabrina Carpenter  served as the opening act for the first round of international tour dates for  The Eras Tour , the European leg kicked off with  Paramore serving as the opening act. The GRAMMY winners are joining Swift on her European leg for 51 shows. The rock band previously opened the show for two nights in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023.

Their Thursday setlist included "This Is Why," "Hard Times," "That's What You Get," "The Only Exception," "Caught in the Middle" and "Brick by Boring Brick."

Eras Tour Introduction Monologue

Before she began playing the song "Lover" in the  Lover  set, Swift told her audience that the night would span 18 years of music. Previously, she said that the concert covered 16 years. 

Eras Tour  Lover Set Updates

Swift cut "The Archer" from her Lover  set. The  Lover  house graphic also featured a new addition in the attic for The Tortured Poets Department .

Eras Tour Folklore and Evermore Set Updates

Swift combined the setlists for  Folklore and Evermore 's eras. 

"On the Eras Tour we have now reunited the sisters, combined them into one chapter," she said. "You can call it Folklore , Evermore or you can call it the Sister Albums! You can call it whatever you want as long as you promise to sing 'Champagne Problems' with me."

The new setlist cut four tracks from the formerly individual eras, including "'Tis the Damn Season," "Tolerate It," "The 1," and "The Last Great American Dynasty."

Eras Tour  Speak Now  Set Updates

Swift cut "Long Live" from the  Speak Now  era setlist. She also updated the set with an intro dance featuring Raphael Thomas and eight other dancers before she sang "Enchanted."

Eras Tour  Red  Set Updates 

Instead of performing her  Red  setlist as the fifth era, Swift bumped the  Red  era to third place on the setlist.

Eras Tour Paris Secret Set

Swift kicked off the secret set with "Paris," a bonus song from her Midnights  album. She also performed "loml."

Eras Tour The Tortured Poets Department Set

Swift officially launched the The Tortured Poets Department  era of the tour after the 1989  set towards the end. She performed "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" and "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart."

Swift's 11th studio album was released on April 19 to much fanfare. 

The 31-track collection --  which turned out to be a surprise double album  -- features a hefty helping of  heartbreak songs  following her splits from  Joe Alwyn  and  Matty Healy , as well as a few  sweet love songs  amid her current relationship with  Travis Kelce . 

"She has put her heart and soul into the music, just like with everything she does," a source told ET about the album, "and can't wait for her fans to listen to it and to share it with them."

Swifties predicted the singer would incorporate  TTPD into her tour after  Swift released a collection of new behind-the-scenes videos from what appeared to be tour rehearsals last month. The black-and-white clips are set to her current single, " Fortnight " featuring  Post Malone , as part of her ongoing #ForAFortnightChallenge on YouTube Shorts. 

"A fortnight 'til Paris," she captioned the post. The term "Fortnight" refers to a period of two weeks, a reference to the first of four Eras shows at Paris La Défense Arena on May 9. 

Swifties wasted no time dissecting the images, taking note of what appears to be new props that could indicate the addition of  TTPD  songs to her already extensive setlist. 

ET recently spoke to Travis Kelce , the Kansas City Chiefs superstar dating the pop star, during which he  confirmed he'll be there with bells on  for Swift's upcoming performances. 

"There won't be a bad show, I promise you that," he said. "You know I gotta go support."

Doja Cat keeps Glasgow fans at a distance in surprisingly tame tour show

Doja Cat ’s Scarlet Tour is a spectacle, there’s no other way to put it. She dances around in nothing but a white bra and pants with knee high boots across a stage covered in hay bales made from blonde hair.

Known for her shock tactics and huge staging at the likes of Coachella , her tour is surprisingly pared down.

The simple staging with some moving platforms barely hints at the gig she’s about to put on at Glasgow ’s Ovo Hydro arena for her first ever European headlining tour. Not a minute goes by the Demons rapper isn’t surrounded by fireworks and actual flames – a logistical nightmare with all that hair.

The show rips through dance numbers, with a handful of slower songs thrown in. Notably, these were the ones the chatter level in the room rose and fans chose to take their toilet breaks during.

Ultimately, The Scarlet Tour is here to make you jump, not move you to tears. That example is set by Doja who writhes around, shaking her ass and moving constantly for the entire show. At one point she lounges on a bed of hair but it doesn’t take long before she’s up and grinding again. 

Her dynamic with the crowd has a clear hierarchy, this isn’t meant to endear you to the human behind the hits – it’s a display of power. 

It took half an hour for her to say anything beyond ‘hi’ to the crowd and even then it was a quick joke about her Hilary Duff fumble at Parklife . This is the only glimmer in the show that Doja could possibly care about what her fans think. She’s not here to make friends. 

Her setlist was completely jumbled from previous gigs to keep things fresh but fan favourite Say So remains despite the singer being infamously tired of performing it. However, it was a shortened rendition with Doja letting the crowd sing most of the track. 

If one song could sum up the entire show it would be Attention. She knelt before the crowd and begged for applause which was freely given by the hyped up crowd. Throughout the gig, Doja gave no instructions, no pause for chats, no break in the bass heavy music. This was a speedrun of hits, take it or leave it. 

Recent hit and penultimate song Paint the Town Red got the loudest response from the audience. Doja and her backup singers finally brought out a little choreography and I was thankful for it; the drops and shakes were getting a little repetitive.

Closing the show on Wet Vagina of all songs, Doja waved goodbye and stalked off stage. There is no question of an encore, she’s done singing and that’s all you’re getting.

The Scarlet Tour is something to behold but it all blurs together into one with no costume changes or interactions to punctuate her tracks. By keeping fans at a distance, Doja Cat’s show runs the risk of being repetitive but she could never be forgettable.

How Does Taylor Swift Stay Healthy During Her Epic Eras Tour? Everything She's Said Ahead of Her 100th Show

The "All Too Well" singer's rigorous workout and wellness routine in between her Eras Tour shows keep her in top shape to perform nightly

Taylor Swift has proven many times that she’s ready to perform for her fans, rain or shine, and even in the snow. 

The 34-year-old pop star’s Eras Tour shows in Edinburgh from June 7 through June 9 were quite cold compared to her other European shows. One TikTok video captured by a fan during the June 7 performance even showed that it started to snow while Swift sang “ All Too Well ” during her set. In another TikTok , a fan caught the singer telling her backup dancers “I wanna keep it” when taking off her jacket after performing “ Lavender Haze .” 

During The Tortured Poets Department set, Deadline reported that the “So High School” singer was spotted wearing a pair of black gloves, likely to keep her hands warm while performing.

The BBC reported that the singer suffered from a hand cramp from the cold before performing her surprise songs.

Swift apologized for the slight delay, telling the crowd, “I have done a million shows on this tour and my hand has never decided to just like… It’s forming a claw!” 

Ahead of her 100th Eras Tour show on June 13 and the 50 shows left on the second leg of the tour, how does the “Fortnight” singer keep herself healthy during the Eras Tour, especially through all of the constant traveling and weather changes? 

In her interview with Time last year, Swift confirmed that she began a rigorous workout routine six months prior to her first Eras Tour show in March 2023. Her viral workout routine included singing the full setlist from the tour while running on the treadmill. 

Swift confirmed that she would run ”fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs” to prepare for the three-hour sets.  

In between shows, Swift shared that she would have “dead days” in between shows, where she would rest up as much as possible.

“I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she said. “It’s a dream scenario [and] I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every time I take a step my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels. But it's the most fulfilled I've ever felt.”

Swift also confirmed that “I'm not drinking on tour” and that “I'm working out in between shows… [in order to] keep my strength and stamina up” especially when she performs multiple days in a row.

“I'm going on that stage whether I'm sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable, or stressed,” she confirmed. “That’s part of my identity as a human being now.” 

Swift’s next stop at the Eras Tour will be at the Antfield Stadium in Liverpool, England from June 13 through June 15.
