Da Nang is a coastal city in Vietnam and is located about halfway between Hoi An and the royal city of Hue. It’s a natural stop on your Vietnam tour and while there isn’t a whole lot to see, there’s plenty to do to keep you entertained for a few days.

1. Hai Van Pass

One of the coolest motorcycle routes in Vietnam is the road between Da Nang and Hue over the Hai Van Pass.

Cham Island is located off the coast of the city, an idyllically peaceful place with tropical beaches full of soft white sand and palm trees.

In central Vietnam you will find temples from the era of the Cham culture. Many artifacts from this culture are exhibited in the museum.

Quiet a distance from the city you will find the largest Cham temple complex in the country. It is well worth a half day trip.

Upon arrival at Danang International Airport for Flights # ….. pm (…… – Danang) , you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and driver who will take you to the ancient city of Hue.

Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop at some sites to explore their beauty, including Nam O Fishing Village , famous for its traditional fish sauce making and a chance to learn about the village’s culture and meet friendly locals. You will also visit Nam O Beach, offering a different experience of the beaches in Danang city.

You will then pass through Hai Van Pass , also known as the Cloudy Pass in Central Vietnam, which is listed as one of the most spectacular passes in Vietnam. From its summit, you can enjoy stunning views of Danang city and Bach Ma National Park, Lang Co beach and relish the challenge of the windy pass road.

Next, you will reach Lang Co Town Centre where you will have lunch with delicious seafood before continuing your journey.

Afternoon Activities:

In the afternoon, you will visit Lang Co fishing village and Lap An Lagoon to explore the natural beauty of this famous beach stop between Hue city and Danang city.

After approximately 1.5 hours on the road, you will reach Hue city and check-in at the hotel. You will have the evening free to enjoy your own dinner and wander around Trang Tien Bridge to soak up the tranquil atmosphere of the ancient city at night, as well as taste the local cuisine according to your own preferences. Day 2: Hue full day city – transfer back Danang. O/n in Danang (B/L)

Morning Activities:

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 am, our guide and driver will pick you up for a full day city tour of Hue.

First, take a walk to the boat landing and embark on a peaceful boat trip along the Perfume River . Admire the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river banks and stop to visit Thien Mu Pagoda , one of the oldest and most beautiful religious buildings in Hue and Vietnam.

Next, visit a workshop in Kim Long Street to see how poetic conical hats are made from lotus or leaves, and learn more about the development and creation of traditional crafts.

Continue by visiting the Imperial City , where the Nguyen Dynasty’s emperors and royal family worked and lived from 1802 to 1945. Explore its many palaces and architectures, including Noon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Purple Forbidden City, Nine Dynastic Urns, and The Temple.

Enjoy a lunch of Hue cuisine at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, continue to Tu Duc Mausoleum to learn about the Oriental architecture of the second king of the Nguyen Dynasty.

Then, visit Thuy Xuan Incense Village to discover more about this traditional craft of Hue. It is also a famous photo shooting spot for those who want to capture nice photos.

Afterwards, leave Hue city and head back to Danang through Hai Van Tunnel . The journey takes about 2 hours. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival.

You’re free to have your own dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Da Nang – Cham Museum – Han Market – Linh Ung pagoda - Ba Na Hill with Golden Bridge. O/n in Danang (B/L)

Begin your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel. At 8:00 AM, your guide and driver will pick you up for a half-day tour of Danang city, followed by a full afternoon at Bana Hill.

Start your tour at the Cham Museum , home to the largest collection of Champa Sculpture in Asia. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to gain insight into the Champa culture and its art.

Next, visit the bustling Han Market to witness local trading and purchase souvenirs for loved ones.

Make your way to the Linh Ung Pagoda in Son Tra Peninsula , one of the largest pagodas in Danang city. Enjoy the stunning view of Danang Bay and the sea from the mountain, which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Da Nang beach.

Afterwards, depart from Da Nang and head to Ba Na Hill, located 25 km to the southwest of the city. To reach the summit, take the cable car, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the forest and waterfall. Once you arrive, experience the unique architecture of Old French villas, located at a height of 1138 meters. Take the mountain climbing train to visit the Flower Garden, which boasts a wide variety of beautiful flowers. Then, visit the old tree, stream, Great Buddha Statue, Linh Ung Pagoda, and Wine Tunnel, which stores a variety of different wines.

Enjoy a scrumptious lunch at a restaurant in Ba Na.

Don’t miss the Golden Bridge , Pagoda, and other popular attractions. After spending plenty of time at Bana Hill, you can relax and play games at the Fantasy Theme Amusement park. Many games and a 4D movie are included in your tour package, but some games with rewards require an additional fee. You may choose to pay for these games or skip them altogether.

Finally, you’ll take the cable car back to the foot of the hill, where your driver will pick you up and transfer you back to Danang city center. Enjoy a delicious dinner on your own before retiring for the night at your hotel.

Note that the Dragon Bridge in Danang breathes fire and water at 21:00 pm on weekends only, so be sure to schedule your visit accordingly.

Day 4: Danang - Marble Mountain - Hoian - Tra Que Organic vegetable village - Tra Nhieu eco tourism village. O/n Hoian (B/L)

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before our guide and driver greet you at 8.00 am for a transfer from Danang to Hoi An. En route, visit the stunning Marble Mountains , also known as Ngu Hanh Son or Non Nuoc Mountain, consisting of five limestone mountains on a sandy beach. Explore the caves, pagodas, and other features of the mountains.

Next, visit the traditional Non Nuoc Stone Village in Danang, where Buddha statues and many other products are made from stone. Then, continue to Thanh Ha Ceramic Village in Hoi An for an immersive experience of local ceramic making traditions. Visit the museum to see interesting products made from soil.

Finally, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel.

As you continue your journey, you will discover the natural beauty of Tra Que Organic Vegetable Village , where locals grow organic vegetables and supply them to restaurants and hotels in Hoian. You’ll be amazed by the traditional farming methods used in this village.

Next, you’ll proceed to Tra Nhieu Eco Tourism Village on a boat along the river. The peaceful atmosphere and water coconut trees will make you feel like you’re in the Mekong Delta region of South Vietnam. Explore the Central World Heritage road of Vietnam

Day 1. Da Nang Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Da Nang airport, meet our guide and drive around to have an overview of Da Nang coastal city, visit Marble Mountain (Ngu Hanh Son), discover the stunning natural caves of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the Marble Mountain. You also visit the stone sculpturing village. Continue on to Son Tra peninsula named as Monkey Mountain to visit Linh Ung Pagoda and stopover by My Khe beach – classified as one of the most attractive beaches on earth. Check-in your hotel and have dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Da Nang.

Day 2. Da Nang – Hoi An – My Son (B, L)

Morning, depart from your hotel in Da Nang to My Son sanctuary which was once an imperial city during the Champa dynasty, between the 4th and the 12th centuries. We travel about 50km to visit My Son sanctuary, visit the ruins towers of Cham people and learn about of architecture of Cham civilization. Spend about 1.5 hour to see a large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 65 architectural works. In 1999, UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site. You will also have chance to enjoy the traditional Apsara dancing of Cham girls.

Drive back to Hoi An town to have lunch and take a walking tour around visiting to the former merchants’ homes, the 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, Phuc Kien Pagoda and the colorful riverside market. You also see a numerous art galleries and tailor shops, get some made-to-order clothes if you like. Return to your hotel late afternoon.

Day 3. Da Nang – Hue (B, L)

Morning depart from your hotel to Hue (2.5 hours land transfer), on the way to stop for sightseeing the high mountain pass of Hai Van; Lang Co beach; the lagoon far below with Da Nang spread out. On arrival in Hue, start driving to visit one of the tomb of Nguyen Emperors – Minh Mang tomb, in a tranquil setting of gardens and lakes or tomb of Khai Dinh, a blend of Western and Eastern architecture or Tu Duc or Gia Long tomb. Then return to the city to have lunch at a typical Garden House restaurant.

Afternoon, go on to visit the Imperial Citadel with the Flag Tower, Ngo Mon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, Forbidden Purple City (Tu Cam Thanh).., leisurely troll through the bustling Dong Ba Market. Enjoy dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Hue.

Day 4. Hue – Da Nang (B, L)

This morning you board a boat for a cruise on the Perfume River giving you a taste of the scenic countryside, as well as an enjoyable visit to the beautiful Pagoda of Thien Mu with its impressive ‘Heavenly Lady’ seven-story tower. Check out your hotel and depart for Da Nang.

DAY 2: DA NANG CITY TOUR – MARBLE MOUNTAIN – NIGHT AT DA NANG

9:00am – 9:30am – Pick you up from your hotel in Da Nang city center, warmly welcome you to start Da Nang City Tour .

9:45am – First stop is at Marble Mountain  – visit Linh Ung Pagoda  and Tam Thai Pagoda  – the first ever pagoda in Da Nang city with nearly 390 year of history, discover the stunning cave system here with: Huyen Khong Cave  – the holiest cave with many relics on Marble Mountain, Hell Cave where ancient people recreate the image of Hell to teach their offspring about law of but before that we will visit the River View Point Tower  to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the whole area.

After that, we will visit Non Nuoc Stone Carving Village  – a famous and ancient traditional village of Da Nang city for sightseeing the fine art stone engraving products more 200 years.

10:45am – Visit Son Tra Peninsula  (also known as Monkey Mountain) and Linh Ung Pagoda with the famous white 67 meters of the Lady Buddha. From top of Linh Ung Pagoda, you can admire the spectacular view of the whole seashore.

12:00pm – Have lunch at the restaurant.

1:00pm – Pay a visit to Cham Sculpture Museum . Walk over to the Dragon Bridge  with Guinness World Record of “the largest steel Dragon”crossing Han river and sightseeing the riverside carp-dragon statue.

2:00pm – Goodbye to Cham Museum, we will go to one of the first markets in Da Nang city – Han Market  and see how local people trade in daily life.

DAY 3: DA NANG – BA NA HILLS – GOLDEN BRIDGE – HOI AN – NIGHT AT HOI AN

7:30am–8:00am Our tour guide come and pick you up at your hotel in Da Nang city center to depart for Ba Na Hills  where is situated 1487 meters from the sea level.

9:15am– Coming to Ba Na Hills station , you will start the journey to the top of Ba Na Hills by taking the cable car.

Arriving at Marseille station , our group will go sightseeing or choose to go on with funicular to climb up the hill to visit Bar Debay Wine Cellar  –constructed by French colonialists that involved a deep tunnel through Ba Na Mountain 1923,  Le Jardin Gardens  with thousands of beautiful flower.

Especially, you will visit the amazing Golden Bridge  crossing the Paradise Garden and enjoy the heavenly scenery from the height at 1,414 meters above the sea level. Then we come to visit the spiritual area of Ba Na Hills.

12:00pm – Have buffet lunch  with more than 70 dishes from both Eastern and Western cuisine.

1:00pm – Free time to enjoy games at Fantasy Park  with adventurous and thrilling games.

Discovering Wax Museum  where displays more than 40 lifelike statues of singers, actors, etc.

Explore French Village  at Sun World Ba Na Hills – a replica of classical and romantic France in our fantasy, through a string of peculiar architectural clusters: the square, cathedral, town, village and inns.

DAY 4: CAM THANH COCONUT FOREST – NIGHT AT HOI AN 

08:30 – 09:00 – Pick you up from your hotel for 30 minutes drive to Cam Thanh Coconut Village  which is located about 5km from the southeast of the Hoi An Old Town, Quang Nam, Viet Nam. The existence of the craft of making coconut paintings and the water coconut forest ecosystem Cam Thanh has created a cultural space to attract domestic and foreign tourists to visit, sightseeing or study.

You will go visiting the eco-system of the forest by basket boats , catching crabs, snails and making toys from coconut leaf. Especially, you can also join the basket boat race, which will bring you a lot of wonderful experiences.
