Taylor Swift to bring Eras Tour to Indianapolis: Here's what to know about concerts

After a series of rain-soaked shows in Miami and a trip to The Big Easy, Taylor Swift is bringing The Eras Tour to the Hoosier State.

The pop juggernaut, who is performing the last leg of her record-breaking world tour , is scheduled to play in Indianapolis for a trio of shows next weekend.

The Midwest concerts follow Swift's back-to-back performances at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, which ran Oct. 18 through Oct. 20. The "Karma" singer captivated fans with new stage costumes , acoustic mashups and a surprise appearance from British singer and "Florida!!!" collaborator Florence Welch .

Before Swift heads to Indianapolis, the Grammy-winning singer will perform three shows at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans from Friday to Sunday. Swift is set to wrap The Eras Tour on Dec. 8 in Vancouver, Canada.

When is Taylor Swift in Indianapolis?

Swift will perform in Indianapolis for three shows the first weekend of November: Nov. 1-3. She is performing at Lucas Oil Stadium in Downtown Indy.

How to get Taylor Swift tickets for Indianapolis

Although face-value tickets have been sold out for some time, they may still be possible for a dedicated few. The tour is known to do additional ticket drops in the days and hours leading up to each show, giving fans the opportunity to take their chances once again with the Ticketmaster queues. Some fans have studied these drops closely, and we've rounded up their findings here.

Tickets are still available on resale sites, but of course at prices well above face value. They did start to dip a bit a few weeks out from the shows, but waiting to see if that trend continues could definitely backfire.

If you're feeling lucky, there are a few ticket giveaways including Colts owner Jim Irsay. Here's how to enter for those.

During the tour, some fans actually found it cheaper or similarly priced to fly overseas to see her than to pay resale prices in their home city, but that option has likely ended. Face-value tickets for her Canadian shows are currently sold out and resale prices are similar to Indianapolis.

Will the Lucas Oil Stadium roof be open for Taylor Swift?

The roof was closed when Swift visited in 2018, and it is expected to be closed again for these shows. The roof closed, along with the open-air window, means fans hoping to gather outside likely won't hear very well if at all.

Public transit in Indianapolis for Taylor Swift shows

A spokesperson for IndyGo said bus schedules and routes would not be changed the weekend Swift is in town, meaning some lines might not be available for late-night riders.

Taylor Swift has always been ahead of her time when it comes to selecting her opening acts. In 2013, she had collaborator Ed Sheeran open for her on the Red Tour before he blew up to superstardom. The same thing happened to Shawn Mendes after he was an opening act on the 1989 World Tour in 2015, and Charli XCX’s profile only rose after 2017’s Reputation Stadium Tour . So, it should come as no surprise to Swifties that Swift’s openers for the Eras Tour , her first trek in more than five years, are a who’s who of today’s most beloved artists and soon-to-be stars.

Swift is kicking off the Eras Tour with a bang, having platinum-selling band Paramore open for the first two shows. Swift has been friends with lead singer Hayley Williams for quite some time, having her star in the “Bad Blood” video and bringing her out to sing “That’s What You Get” on the Speak Now Tour, and their friendship will only grow when Paramore also joins the European leg of the tour.

“Having Paramore join me on tour is such an honor,” Swift told Billboard in January. “We came up alongside each other as Nashville teenagers writing our own music, so it feels insanely special to kick off the tour together nearly two decades later.”

The Taylor Swift “Eras Tour” is finally coming to a close, making a few more U.S. and Canada stops before concluding the massive record-breaking route in British Columbia this December. Still on the schedule are this weekend’s three performances at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, followed by another U.S. stint at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from Friday to Sunday, November 1 through 3.

The “Cruel Summer” and “Anti-Hero” star then travels to Canada for her last string of concerts, taking the Rogers Centre stage seven nights out of a ten-day stay in Toronto, and heading to Vancouver to finish off with three back-to-back concerts at BC Place Stadium.
