The passenger sea service known as 2Go Travel is the sole Manila-based major interisland passenger ferry company. 2Go was founded in 2012 after a big realignment of various Philippine ferry services, including SuperFerry and Cebu Ferries. These brands were bought by Negros Navigation (NENACO), eventually retiring the “NENACO” label and forming 2Go Travel.
Today, 2Go serves many of the old SuperFerry and NENACO routes, with its whole fleet possessing a total passenger capacity of 7,450,162 passengers. It continues to be one of the most budget-friendly ways to transport people and things to different points in the Philippines, offering tour packages, affordable cargo delivery, and Roll On Roll Off (RORO) services.
2Go Travel is part of the 2Go Group which is a subsidiary of SM Investments Corporation, one of the largest conglomerates in the country.

2GO TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS & FERRY SCHEDULE (New Normal)
A part of Christmas tradition for us Filipinos is going back home to spend time with our family. It’s the time of the year where a lot of people travel to their provinces for the holidays causing bus stations to be packed, and lines for every other public transportation are long. Because of the pandemic, it is best to prepare for your trip in advance especially because protocols and requirements for travel these days are very different from what they used to be.
Among the transportation options, especially for those who prefer a cheaper way to go to the provinces in Visayas and Mindanao are ferries. 2Go Travel is one of the biggest sea travel provider in the Philippines. They currently have more than a dozen operational routes plying from Manila or Batangas to different provinces and vice versa.
If you are planning to go back to your province for the holiday season, here are 2Go’s operational routes for December 2020 and the protocols they currently implement for passengers.

INTERNATIONAL PET SHIPPING
How much does it cost to fly a pet overseas?
When it comes to shipping a pet internationally , the costs can vary significantly based on factors such as your location, destination country, animal type, breed, and weight. It’s important to note that many airlines and destination countries have specific requirements, often necessitating pets to travel as manifest cargo. As a result, the routing options and pricing may differ considerably from passenger tickets.
Costs to consider are the vaccinations and lab testing required, health certificate appointment, USDA endorsement of documents, the crate, the airline booking, fees to the shipping agent, customs fees, and import taxes due at the destination airport.
If you are an active-duty military member moving on orders, it’s crucial to inform the airlines and pet shipping companies. Certain US-based airlines are willing to make exceptions to pet travel restrictions for military members moving on orders. Additionally, we offer a $500 discount to military families undergoing a Permanent Change of Station (PCS).
Rest assured that our animal transportation services prioritize the safety and well-being of your pets. We strive to provide safe and reliable shipping for your furry companions, ensuring they arrive at their destination happy and healthy.
How much does it cost to fly a pet/s internationally?
All prices are in USD.
Do you need to hire an international pet shipping company?
Shipping your pet internationally requires detailed attention every step of the way, this is why hiring an international pet transport agency is highly recommended. We frequently receive panicked phone calls from people who have had their pets rejected at check-in. This can result from missing a document or endorsement, incorrect crate or size, temperature, or simply flights getting canceled.
Feathers and Fur Express is a family-owned and operated company. We have helped thousands of pets fly to their humans overseas. Yes, the cost of hiring a pet shipping company can add to the expense, but it’s worth knowing your pet will be joining you in your new home. Our pets are our family, we have a responsibility to them because we love them, and we chose to care for them.
International Pet Shipping Costs
Costs can vary based on size and where you purchase from. Typically, you can expect to pay anywhere from $70 to $150 for the smallest crates and between $320 to $450 for the largest plastic crates. If your pet requires a custom-built crate, you can expect to pay around $800 to $1200. Some dog breeds are considered aggressive by certain airlines and require a reinforced crate. These crates are typically durable, lightweight aluminum, military-grade, and long-lasting. You can expect to pay anywhere from $1000 to $1800 for a reinforced crate depending on the size of your dog.
Vaccinations
At a minimum, your pet will need an up-to-date rabies vaccination. Other vaccines, tests, and treatments that are most often required include the following: microchip, distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis (DHPP + L), internal and external parasite treatments, and rabies titer test. Some countries require more than those listed here. Consult your veterinarian to determine their prices, as these vary greatly by clinic and area. If you’re working with a pet shipper, they will inform you of exactly which vaccines are needed and when.
Health Certificate
Every airline and nearly every country requires a certificate of health to accompany your pet. Every vet office has its own pricing for the exam and document completion. We recommend you reach out to them and shop around. The issuing vet must be a USDA-accredited veterinarian.
You can expect to pay around $100-$500.
USDA Endorsement
Most countries require an endorsement from the USDA for your pet to enter. This comes in a form of a stamp and signature by the State Veterinarian (USDA). Once your USDA-accredited veterinarian completes the exam and health certificate, the documents must be sent to the USDA for review and endorsement. Due to COVID-19, the USDA offices will not accept in-person appointments. Your pet’s health certificate must be submitted to the USDA via overnight mail or through the USDA’s Veterinary Export Health Certification System (VEHCS). If you are working with Feathers and Fur Express, we will coordinate this entire process.
The USDA charges $38 – $173 for endorsements depending on the number of lab tests required.
Pick up and Drop off
You may not have the ability to drive your pet to the airport or pick up your pet at the destination so we can arrange these services. Pricing varies based on location, country, and distance. Transporting pets requires time and patience. Our drivers are well-trained in making sure your pets are safe and comfortable, they make frequent stops for bathroom breaks and water.
The prices range between $2.8-$3.5 / Mile.
Customs Clearance at Destination Airport
Some countries require a customs clearance agent on the ground at the destination to clear your pet through customs. This will depend on the country and the airline that services that country.
Most countries allow people to clear their own pets through customs. This is a time-consuming process that typically involves some back and forth between the airline and customs but is usually handled without issue. If a clearing agent is needed, we will provide you with a muster point where you can collect your pet after clearing customs.
You can expect to pay a range of $500 to $1000 for customs clearance. If the destination country requires a quarantine, that cost will increase significantly.
Sometimes your flight schedule may not align with your pet’s. Most clients decide to board their pets near the airport in lieu of having a family member or a friend watch them. Feathers and Fur Express works with multiple boarding facilities around the nation. We can arrange to board and pick up to deliver to the airport. We recommend your pet be fully vaccinated for boarding in the event flight plans change and boarding is needed. FVRCP for cats, DHPP & Bordetella for dogs (CIV is required for boarding in LAX only).
Boarding prices range from state to state. You can expect to pay a range of $30 to $50 per night.
The cost of freight charges (your pet’s flight cost) is highly variable. Every airline charges a different rate, which varies by location and volume. Since airlines charge by crate volume, the price to ship a Great Dane could be thousands of dollars more than the cost of a Chihuahua. If you want to send those same pets to Asia, the cost may be thousands of dollars more than shipping to the EU. Please note that if you have a snub-nosed breed, additional restrictions may apply during transportation due to the potential risks of breathing difficulties.
Administrative Fees
You may have noticed there are many steps needed to ensure your pet will travel and arrive safely at your destination. A lot of work and time gets allocated to ensure all documents and all steps are correct. Most pet shipping companies make their profit from administrative fees. Some countries have a lead time of 6 months for your pet to enter, while other countries are very easy and streamlined. Feathers and Fur Express will ensure your pet meets all requirements for travel and will keep constant communication with you during the entire process. If you hire a pet shipper, you can expect to pay anywhere between $1000 to $6000 depending on the pet shipper and destination. We pride ourselves on being one of the most affordable IPATA pet shippers in the industry !
Our transportation service takes into account every detail of your pet’s journey, from pickup to delivery, ensuring that your pet arrives safely and on time.
“Marck was really awesome. He took care care of all the paperwork and kept us updated. Great communication, great service! Our rabbit made it back home safely. Thank you!”

“Despite trying to move our Labrador from Houston during a pandemic and then a historic power failure on Houston, FFE came through for us. The team kept us in constant contact and went out of their way to help our veterinarian get set up with the USDA portal. Would highly recommend them for anyone moving pets internationally”
Mark Romanchock, Pet Owner
“Coco made it to Holland. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong but none of it the fault of Feathers and Fur. They were wonderful helping to fix the issues with my vet, FedEx and the USDA while time was ticking. Great communication in a very stressful time. Coco is settled in and happy.”

Military Pet Travel
International pet travel, carry-on pets.
Small dogs, cats and household birds can travel in the cabin for a one-way fee that is collected at check-in. The pet must be able to fit in a soft-sided ventilated pet kennel that will go underneath the seat directly in front of you.
Please review the following requirements to ensure a safe and healthy flight with a small pet traveling as a carry-on:
- Your pet must be at least 8 weeks old for domestic travel.
- Your pet dog must be 6 months old if traveling to the U.S. from another country and a pet cat must be at least 16 weeks old.
- Your pet must be at least 15 weeks old when traveling to the European Union.
- 1 female cat or dog may travel with her un-weaned litter if the litter is between 8 weeks and 6 months of age. There is no limit on the number of animals in the litter as long as they can fit safely in the kennel.
- 2 pets of the same breed and size between the ages of 8 weeks and 6 months may be allowed to travel in 1 kennel, as long as they are small enough to fit into a single kennel and are compatible. If the pets are allowed to travel in 1 kennel, they will be charged as 1 pet.
Pets in kennels will count as your 1 carry-on item. In addition to the kennel, you are permitted to bring 1 personal item on board the aircraft.
Seating With Your Pet
Customers with carry-on pets may not select seats in the following areas:
- Bulkhead seats
- An emergency exit row
- Seats designated as “no stowage”
- Flat-bed or Delta One seats
- Rows 46-51 on the A330-200 aircraft
- Rows 54-59 on the A330 -300 aircraft
- Center seats on the B757-200 aircraft
Booking Your Pet
Carry-on kennel requirements.
Be sure to check the aircraft dimensions of your flight to ensure your pet’s kennel will fit underneath the seat directly in front of you.
Your pet and kennel must also adhere to the following requirements:
- Your pet must be small enough to fit comfortably in a kennel with the ability to move around without touching or sticking out from the sides.
- The kennel must fit underneath the seat directly in front of you.
- The soft-sided kennel must be leak-proof and have ventilation openings on 3 sides for domestic travel and 4 sides for international travel.
- The maximum carry-on kennel dimensions are determined by the aircraft dimensions of your flight, as the under-seat space varies by aircraft. Delta recommends a soft-sided kennel with maximum dimensions of 18” x 11” x 11” since this fits most aircraft types.
- Your pet must remain inside the kennel with the door secured while in a Delta boarding area, during boarding and deplaning, while in a Delta Sky Club® and while on board the aircraft.
Checking In With Your Pet
When you arrive at the airport, you will need to visit the Special Service Counter to check-in with your pet. At check-in, a Delta agent will ensure your pet and kennel meet the necessary requirements for your trip and collect the required pet fee. Remember to allow extra time at check-in for us to ensure your pet is ready for take-off.
Once you are checked in and have your cabin pet tag, you are ready to go through the security checkpoint where you are required to remove your pet from their kennel.
After the security checkpoint, your pet must remain in their kennel while at the airport, unless they are in a designated relief area.
Delta Sky Club® Pets
Carry-on pet fees.
CAD amount will be charged to exit Canada, while EUR amount will be charged to exit Europe. These fees are established by the contract of carriage in effect at the time of ticket issuance.
Carry-On Pet Exceptions
For any travel to or from the following destinations — with the exception of service animals — pets must travel as cargo and are not permitted in the cabin:
- Pet travel is not allowed for pets originating in Brazil/Colombia
- Pet travel is not allowed on flights to Hawaii
- Jamaica
- New Zealand
- Republic of Ireland
- South Africa
- United Kingdom
- United Arab Emirates
Household birds are only permitted on domestic U.S. flights excluding flights to Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam. Review based on your destination or connecting flights.
The CDC has specific documentation requirements that apply to all dogs, including trained service animals, that are traveling to the United States. Dogs entering the U.S. must appear healthy, be microchipped and be at least 6 months of age. All dogs must be accompanied by a receipt of a completed CDC Dog Import Form. Additional documentation that may be required will depend on where the dogs rabies vaccinations were administered and if, within the past 6 months, the dog has been in a high-risk country for rabies or a low-risk or rabies-free country.

Traveling with your pet for the holidays? Here are some helpful tips.
From new semi-private pet airplanes to road trips, this is everything pet parents should consider before hitting the road.
Cats and dogs are not just pets. These lovable, four-legged creatures have become our closest companions and confidantes, with more than half of American pet owners now reporting that they consider pets as much a part of their family as a human member.
So, not surprisingly, more pet parents want to bring their furry friends along when they travel, including during the holidays. In response, the travel industry is now rolling out the red carpet for both human and animal guests, with offerings ranging from pet-friendly hotel packages to flights designed specifically for dogs.
“There’s been a clear uptick in travelers seeking to bring their pets along for the ride, and they’re sparing no expense,” says LaDell Carter, a Baltimore-based luxury travel advisor and the founder of Royal Expression Travels . “It’s no longer just a niche market, it’s a full-blown trend.”
If you need advice to help you make the right decision to take your pet along or not, and looking for tips to keep them happy and healthy while traveling for the holidays or an upcoming trip; animal and travel experts offer some guidance.
Put your pet’s well-being first
Long before you start drafting a packing list, consider your pet’s well-being first. Though you may be excited at the prospect of bringing your pooch or kitty along for the journey, your pet may not feel the same way—and travel could be harmful to their health. This is especially true for senior pets or those with existing medical issues. You know your pet best, but it’s always a good idea to touch base with your veterinarian, says Lilian Wong , a veterinarian and clinical skills instructor at Oregon State University’s Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine.
Beyond your pet’s health, think about their preferences and personality. Are they an anxious homebody who thrives on routine, or more of a social butterfly who loves exploring? “It really depends on the animal,” says Wong. “Some animals have an adventurous spirit and love to travel while others don't.”
Certain types of trips also lend themselves better to bringing pets than others—for example, a weekend camping getaway versus an international business conference . Imagine the entire travel experience—from the moment you leave home until the moment you return—from your pet’s perspective.

Determine when to travel without your pet
Sometimes, the right decision may be going it alone. If you know travel will make your pet uncomfortable or that the trip just won’t be pet-friendly, consider hiring a pet-sitter or booking a kennel at a boarding facility instead. (And if you’re traveling over the holidays, make these types of arrangements as early as possible, because they tend to book up quickly.)
Wong recommends jotting down a list of pros and cons. “Many times, loving pet parents have the best intentions, but traveling can be stressful for some animals,” she says. “Animals might not understand all the sights and sounds of an airplane or a new city.”
Consider the mode of travel
If you’ve decided to bring your pet along, the next decision is how to reach your desired destination. If possible, Wong recommends road-tripping. “You can take as many breaks as you and your pet need,” she says. “You can drive to a nearby veterinary hospital if there is a medical emergency. When you are traveling on a plane, you don't have that flexibility.”
Driving isn’t always possible or practical, so you might look into flying. But air travel for non-service animals can be complicated, since each airline has its own rules and requirements—and those rules can also vary depending on the departure and arrival destinations, the weather, the type of animal or breed, the pet’s age and vaccination status, and more.
Generally speaking, unless your pet is small enough to fit in a carrier underneath the seat in front of you for the entire flight, they will have to fly in the plane’s cargo hold. “This is a deal-breaker for many [pet parents],” says Brandi Munden, a spokeswoman for the American Kennel Club .
If you’re flying internationally (or to certain domestic locations like Hawaii), you will also need to read up on local animal import laws. Many require pets to quarantine, so depending on the length of your stay, it may not make sense to bring your pet. In addition, most airlines can only accommodate a handful of pets per flight, so book early and call to ensure there’s a spot for your pet.
If you can afford it, another option is flying private or semi-private, which Carter recommends to all of her clients. This mode of travel offers “the ultimate peace of mind,” she says. “Your pet can sit on your lap or even sometimes roam free in the cabin, with no worries about crates, size restrictions, or last-minute changes at the gate.”
A handful of airlines, including Bark Air and K9 Jets , offer private pay-per-seat charters specifically designed for pets and their owners. Private jet companies like NetJets and VistaJet , meanwhile, will also gladly accommodate pets. But be forewarned: These flights are not cheap, often costing several thousand dollars one-way. The private charters, which tend to be more affordable than a fully private plane, also only fly certain routes.

Planning a pet-friendly itinerary
Getting there is only one small piece of planning a pet-friendly trip. You’ll also need to think about lodging, logistics, social dynamics, and other factors once you arrive. “Consider if you can manage the extra responsibility of caring for your pet while traveling,” says Munden.
Ask yourself these and other questions:
- Does your hotel or vacation rental allow pets? And, if so, do they have any special fees or rules? Many hotels only allow a certain number of pets per room, and some have breed restrictions. Others prohibit pets from being left alone in guest rooms, which means you’ll need to bring your pet everywhere you go.
- What’s on your itinerary, and how pet-friendly is the destination? Will your pet spend the entire day cooped up in a strange place while you’re out and about, or will you be able to bring them with you to shops, restaurants, and activities?
- If you’re staying with family, do they have a setup that’s conducive to pets (and, more importantly, does your family even like pets)? How does your pet react around children or other animals?
- If your pet has a medical issue, where’s the closest veterinarian and how will you get there?
Preparing for the trip
Once you’ve finalized the details, give yourself ample time to prepare for your pet-friendly trip . If you’re traveling internationally, you’ll likely need to find and visit a U.S Department of Agriculture-accredited veterinarian who can sign off on the required health certificates, says Wong. This process can take weeks or months, so start early. “Many pet owners don't realize how much advanced planning is involved,” she says.
In addition to packing your belongings , remember to leave room for your pet’s necessities, says Munden. This includes food, treats, any medications, leashes, harnesses or collars, water bowls, dog beds, toys, litter and litter boxes, and any crates or carriers. Also bring a paper or digital copy of your pet’s vaccination records, as well as any required documentation for traveling with a pet.
Especially if this will be their first time traveling, it helps to familiarize your pet with the upcoming situation. If you’ve purchased a new pet carrier, for example, start using it at home. Before a road trip, spend some time driving around so your pet feels comfortable in the car. Once you arrive, give them some time to get acclimated—and unpack their favorite blankets or toys right away to help make the space feel more like home, says Munden. Be sure to pet-proof the space, too, and, for dogs, always keep poop bags at the ready. “Block off any area you don’t want them to access,” Munden adds. “Be respectful by cleaning up after your pet.”
Be flexible
A common phrase that travel professionals often say: “Pack your patience.” This adage is especially true when traveling with pets, which are living, breathing creatures with minds of their own. Go into the trip with a mindset that at least one thing will go wrong (or at least not exactly as you anticipated) and always have a back-up plan. Set your expectations appropriately so you don’t become frustrated or disappointed and do more research than you think is necessary.
And if you don’t want to leave anything up to chance, Carter recommends working with a travel advisor. She explains, “We make sure all the logistics are handled, so all that’s left is enjoying the journey together.”
