Our Approach
KitKat has always believed that a break is good for you. Good for your soul, good for your mind. But can a break that’s good for you, be good for everyone? Yes. With ‘Breaks for good’. As a first step on this initiative, we made all our KitKat wrappers recyclable. Great right. But we didn’t stop there. We also created break zones around colleges across India, with recycled plastic packaging. So, go ahead take a break, and feel good about it too.

Wrapper to Bench story Process
To make breaks for good come to life, we partnered with Ricron, a state-of-the-art technology that converts low value plastic packaging waste into quality products. We deployed this technology to make our break zones benches. They follow a simple, and certified process.
Firstly, the plastic packaging waste is collected through a waste aggregator network.
It is then segregated, processed, and shredded.
After this much important step, they deploy their proprietary technology and trademarked process to concert the selected waste into a recycled plastic sheet.
And once the recycled plastic sheet is created, it is then cut into the desired size and assembled into bench.
