Legendary Welsh singer and performer Sir Tom Jones continues to sustain his popularity around the world, captivating audiences with his timeless discography of hit songs and enduring talent and charisma. With a remarkable career spanning over six decades, Jones is widely considered to be one of the greatest singers and recording artists of all time, selling over 100 million records and continuing as an esteemed and influential figure in the music industry.

In the early 1960s, he signed with Decca Records in London, kickstarting a successful and diverse career and achieving international fame with his powerful voice and dynamic stage presence. He had a string of hit songs including "It's Not Unusual," "What's New Pussycat?" "Delilah," and "Green, Green Grass of Home" which sat alongside his hugely popular 1969-1971 cross-continental TV show, "This is Tom Jones". Jones has always had a fundamental interest in a wide range of music, leading him to work with dozens of iconic collaborators over the years, ranging from Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin to Van Morrison, Dolly Parton and Ed Sheeran, just some amongst many. Although he is well known for his hits, he is first and foremost a diverse artist with a true rhythm and blues soul.

Jones's career has been filled with numerous honours and accolades, including a deeply cherished knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II in 2006, multiple BRIT Awards, a Silver Clef Award, the prestigious Music Industry Trusts Award and a Hitmaker Award from the US Songwriters Hall of Fame. He has also acted in films such as Tim Burton's "Mars Attacks," and "Playhouse Presents: King of The Teds" for Sky Arts. Along with his yearly touring, Jones has continued to be active in the industry as a longstanding coach on The Voice UK and being a valued contributor at a variety of events and broadcasts such as the 25th Anniversary of MusiCares (honouring Bob Dylan) and the 57th Grammy Awards as well as many others for charitable causes. His autobiography "Over The Top And Back" was a rollicking best-seller, and his 2021 album release “Surrounded By Time” made him the oldest male to claim a Number 1 spot on the UK Official Albums Chart with an album of new material, overtaking Bob Dylan.

Sir Tom has indeed cemented his place in music history as one of the most successful artists of all time, traversing musical eras and genres, cutting across class divides, and appealing to all genders and ages, mainstream and cutting edge. Sir Tom has always been about the power of the song, and the power of the voice, qualities that have made him a true legend in the music zeitgeist. Despite the passage of time, Sir Tom Jones continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the music world, and his legacy will undoubtedly live on for generations to come.

What a gig!! Tom Jones is an icon. A legend. Whether you like his music or not. When Sir Tom sang, I'm sure our hair went backwards!,like in a wind tunnel!.. Some classics sung and some covers thrown in.

The worst part for me was some drunk women in the crowd nearby who fell about blind drunk, crashing into other people and tried to be louder than Tom even though the PA!

At 79 Jones voice has not aged! Sounding young and strong! His prescence still sensual and provacative! I was a little dissappointed he didnt sing all his classics! But he loves blues and I understand his preference Regardless he was amazing! His band was an excellent accompaniment to his style and choice! Brilliant!

The show in Atlanta was fantastic! Tom Jones was incredible!! His voice is golden...legendary!!! He can sing any genre and it magically works. My mother introduced me to his blusey Welsh voice at about the age of 5 and for 50 wonderful years I have loved and will always love him!! Thanks mom and thank you Sir Tom for sharing you beautiful Gift of Song with me!

Stirling Summer Sessions will take place at the foot of the historic Stirling Castle at Stirling City Park. Stirling is known for the attraction of its historic Castle, its proven track record of successfully hosting major events and big crowds, and the city’s central location provides excellent transport links, being within an hour’s travel time for 50% of Scotland’s population.

Beginning his career in the 1960s, there are now few people who haven't heard of Tom Jones. His second single It's Not Unusual climbed all the way to Number 1 on the UK singles chart within a month, achieving the type of instant success almost unheard of before the era of social media.

He followed this with a long list of hits, including What's New Pussycat, Delilah and She's a Lady, as well as huge headline shows at showrooms all across the Las Vegas Strip. Still going strong in 2023, his career has spanned over six decades and he remains a popular public figure, serving as a judge on The Voice UK.

Now 83 years old, the Welsh singer is showing no signs of slowing down, having just announced a summer 2024 tour to follow his December 2023 tour.

Tom Jones is set to bring his UK tour to Scotland this winter, it has been confirmed.

The OVO Hydro in Glasgow announced the singer will perform at the venue on December 17.

The Welsh singer will visit multiple venues across the United Kingdom on his Ages and Stages tour, beginning with Nottingham.

From his prime hollerin’ days of the 1960s with hits like ‘It’s Not Unusual’ and ‘Delilah’ through to his arty rock releases of the past few years, Jones’ fame spans generations. So, as you can imagine, a Tom Jones tour is something for everyone to get excited about.

Following shows at Cardiff Castle in July, the Pontypridd-born crooner has announced five UK dates for December 2023. As part of his ‘Ages and Stages’ tour, he’ll be playing cities across England and Scotland . Here’s everything you need to know about those shows.

When is Tom Jones going on a UK tour in 2023?

When do tickets go on sale for Tom Jones’ ‘Ages & Stages’ tour?

General tickets go on sale this Friday, September 8 at 10am. However, if you’re a Tom superfan, you can register for presale online to get tickets at 10am on September 7. Find each gig and presale link on LiveNation here . 

How much do tickets cost?

Ticket prices haven’t yet been revealed. However, judging from Jones’ July gigs at Cardiff Castle, we’d expect prices to start at around £70 for standing tickets and £50 for seated.

Tom Jones has scheduled outdoor shows across the UK and Ireland for summer 2024.

The legendary Welsh vocalist will kick off the run with a co-headline concert with funk icon Nile Rodgers and CHIC at Dublin's St. Anne's Park on June 9. 

Following that, he'll  play shows in Plymouth, Southampton, Stirling, Bedford, Chepstow and Derby as part of the touring concert series Summer Sessions . 

The 83-year-old has also lined up a show at Scaborough Open Air Theatre on June 15, before a gig in Thetford Forest, Bradon in Suffolk on June 28 as part of the Forest Live series. He'll then play The Piece Hall in Halifax on July 12 as part of the Live At The Piece Hall series, ahead of headlining the Music Weekender at Salt and Tar in Bootle, Liverpool on August 17 and 18.

Tickets for all dates, which form part of his ongoing  Ages & Stages Tour , go on general sale at 9am on Friday (December 1).

Jones' tour will also head to UK arenas this December, before shows in Australia in March and April. Tickets for those dates are already on sale. He released his latest album, 'Surrounded By Time', in 2021.

The  Summer Sessions series will also include performances from Jess Glynne, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Kaiser Chiefs, Pete Tong, James, Hozier, Rick Astley, Johnny Marr and Becky Hill. Head  here  to see who is playing where and when.

Other acts announced for next year's  Forest Live  series include Becky Hill, Sting, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, and Anne-Marie.

A HUGE music icon has announced he will be performing for fans at an upcoming Scottish gig.

Legendary singer Tom Jones will be stopping north of the border for the exciting summer gig.

The Welsh chanter and The Voice coach will be heading to Stirling for summer sessions in the city next year.

Delilah singer Jones, 83, will perform his classic hits in City Park, overlooked by Stirling Castle .

Other legendary acts have performed at the site in the past, including Texas and Runrig.

He will take to the stage on June 30 2024, with tickets going on presale this Friday.

This will be the first time Summer Sessions will head to the historic city.

The Not Unusual star is the first act to be announced, with organisers promising more hit stars for music lovers of "varying genres."

A spokesperson for Summer Sessions said: "Stirling Summer Sessions is the newest member of the Summer Sessions family in Scotland .

"With shows taking place at the foot of the historic Stirling Castle at City Park, Stirling Summer Sessions will welcome a selection of world-renowned artists for lovers of varying music genres."

Touring at 84-years-old actually is unusual.

Iconic crooner Tom Jones just announced he’ll embark on a 17-concert North American tour this September and October.

Midway through the quick, late summer run, the ‘Ages & Stages Tour’ will take Jones and his timeless stable of his to a trio of New York and New Jersey venues.

First, he’ll swing into Atlantic City’s Hard Rock Live on Sunday, Sept. 15. Two nights later, the “What’s New Pussycat” singer drops into Brooklyn’s new Paramount Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 17. The quick Tri-State run will come to a close at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

For those concerned that the octogenarian won’t sound like he did back when he won the Grammy for Best New Artist back in 1966, you need not worry.

“At 82, his voice was as strong as ever, and before I knew it I was up on my feet dancing in front of my chair,” Next Avenue wrote about a 2023 Jones show.

Jones isn’t just spending time on the road these days — he’s also in the studio.

Most recently, the Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee released his 12-track  “Surrounded By Time”  album in 2021.

Featuring Jones’ signature deep voice, he shies away from his typically upbeat fare for more melancholy, reflective fare like the heavy opening tune  “I Won’t Crumble With You If You Fall.”

Still, he has fun on catchy tracks like  “Popstar”  and  “Samson and Delilah.”

For our money, it’s the best classic rock record of the ’20s.

Tom Jones is heading back to North America for a 2024 tour this fall.

The new dates will commence after Jones’ UK and EU tour, which runs from this month to mid August. He’ll head to the United States on September 5th with a date in Uncasville, Connecticut. Tom Jones will then tour through cities like Atlantic City, New York City, Tulsa, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and more. The tour concludes with a show at The Venue at Thunder Valley in Placer County, California on October 12th. See the full list of Tom Jones’ 2024 tour dates below.

Tickets for Tom Jones’ 2024 North American tour will first go on-sale for select dates via a Live Nation pre-sale beginning on Thursday, June 27th at 10:00 a.m. local time (use access code CHORD ). Afterwards, tickets will go on-sale for the general public on Friday, June 28th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster .

Tom Jones is ready to serenade the U.S. once more.

The 84-year-old singer will perform in North America on Sept. 5 in Uncasville, Conn. and will wrap up on Oct. 12 in Placer County, Calif.

While on tour, Jones will stop in New Jersey and New York for concerts in Atlantic City on Sept. 15 , Brooklyn, N.Y. on Sept. 17 , and New York City on Sept. 18 .

There are several presales going on through Ticketmaster , which will wrap up on June 27 at 10 p.m.

The general sale for Jones’ tour will then begin on June 28 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster .

If you miss out on the presale and the general sale, fans can find tickets on secondary market websites, such as Vivid Seats , StubHub , TicketCity and SeatGeek .

The cheapest ticket for his Atlantic City concert is $101 on Vivid Seats .

The cheapest ticket at the time of publication for one of Jones’ New York shows, before fees, is $101 on StubHub .
