Trip was not so pleasant because of the following reason: During the whole trip i did not receive even the single call from agent about my trip to know how is my trip going, And I have booked for deluxe houseboat rated 3 star but to my surprise the house boat which have been provided doesn't even deserve the 1 star, it was too dirty (have seen lizard & roaches on houseboat) and food was also pathetic. As per the itinerary which have been provided to me it was clearly written that it will take 3.5 hrs of journey from Munnar to Allepy but it took 7 hours because of that i boarded late on houseboat.

Overall experience was good. We started off with a train journey, descended at Aluva and went on to Munnar. Experienced the fine arts of Kerala like Kathakali, Kalaripayattu, Ayurveda massage. Tea plantation and Dream land visit was worth the time & money spent. Got some chips, chocolates, ayurveda products on the way back home at Cochin and visited Lulu mall as well. Only downside is we got screwed on the return journey as we were promised a train journey for the same but ended up with a bus journey which costed us more money and the journey time was too long that we were exhausted by the time we reached home. Travel team has to set right expectations with customers to ensure that they aren’t put in a tough situation especially when travelling with their family members which involves kids and ladies. Pros about the trip: 1. Hotel accommodation was comfortable and convenient. Location was good. Food was also good and satisfying. 2. Cab service and driver behavior was good, he tried to cover most places in Munnar for sightseeing. 3. Services of travel agent was okay. He was kind, always informed us and regularly updated the info regarding the trip. Cons: 1. Return journey from Kochi to Chennai was supposed to be a train journey. Instead we got a non AC sleeper bus journey booked for us as we were in a helpless situation. Before the trip is finalized, travel coordinator should set right expectations with their customers 2. Wanted to go to Mullapanthal which is a few kms away from Cochin on the last day but it was not possible as travel team denied the request. Kalaripayattu - An awesome display of culture, arts and talent. It was a mind blowing show by the talents. Standing ovation and hats off to their dedication to preserve this. Tea plantation in Munnar - A must visit to the top of the hills to experience this rich beauty of nature is absolutely worth. Ayurvedic massage - One should not miss this as it is one of the special things of Kerala culture which rejuvenates your body. Spice plantation - There are various plantations available to see, just drop by at any one of them to learn about daily spices used at your home. Lot of greenery that one can see.

Day 0 – Departure from Bengaluru

Journey to Idukki District (Munnar Town)

As the sun sets over Bangalore, our adventure begins as we head towards Munnar Town. We'll embark on a comfortable journey of  520 km  in a Tempo Traveler or a Minibus with push-back seats, ensuring a smooth ride for our hikers.

We'll pick up our fellow explorers at the following locations.  Click  on each location to see the exact pickup point.

• 07:00 PM: Start from Goraguntepalya
• 07:10 PM: Next stop, Yeshwanthpur
• 07:20 PM: Assemble at KTM Mekhri Circle
• 07:40 PM: Picking up at MG Road
• 08:00 PM: Meet us at Domlur
• 08:20 PM: Join at Koramangala
• 08:40 PM: Board at Silk Board
• 09:00 PM: Last pickup at Electronic City

Note for the entire trip: The travel time may vary depending on the traffic and road conditions . Yet, we will make sure that we will cover all the places on the itinerary .

Day 1: Munnar’s Natural Wonders

08:00 AM: Reach Munnar

08:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Check into your campsite and take some time to rest

10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Enjoy Breakfast

10:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Engage in exciting activities like kayaking and zip-lining in the nearby river ( Here )*Self-Sponsored and return to the camp (2 hours) 

12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Visit the Tea Factory * Self-Sponsored Entry Ticket

01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Have Lunch( Here ) *Self-Sponsored. 

03:00 PM – 07:00 PM: Embark on a trek to Phantom hills Sunset Point and enjoy the stunning sunset from atop the hill and come to the base camp (4 hours)

07:00 PM: Enjoy the warmth of the campfire, sharing stories and experiences with fellow travellers. 

09:00 PM: Dinner will be served and retire for the night.

Day 2: High-Altitude Adventures and Wildlife Exploration

03:30 AM – 06:15 AM: Rise early and head to Kolukkumalai , the world’s highest tea estate (2 hours and 45 minutes) *Self-Sponsored

Note: Kolukkumalai sunrise timings depend on jeep availability.

06:15 AM – 07:30 AM: Take in the picturesque landscape.

07:30 AM – 09:30 AM: Visit Jaguar Rock viewpoint , head back to the campsite to freshen up and enjoy a hearty breakfast.

09:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Check out from the campsite after breakfast and commence your journey towards Munnar.

11:00 AM – 11:30 PM: Stop at Signal Point . Signal Point is a view point from where the Munnar Valley can be seen.

12:30 PM – 01:30 PM: Visit the Chocolate Factory

01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: stop for lunch *Self-Sponsored

02:30 PM – 03:30 PM: Head to Eravikulam National Park

03:30 PM – 05:30 PM: Visit Eravikulam National Park* Self-Sponsored Entry Ticket

05:30 PM: Board the vehicle to head towards Bengaluru.

Day 3: Homeward Bound

05:00 AM: Reach Bengaluru

Drop-off Points:  The drop-off points will be the same as the pick-up points to ensure convenience for all travelers. Please ensure you have all your belongings before leaving the vehicle.

🏡 Once you’ve reached your drop-off point, it’s time to head home, take a well-deserved rest, and start planning your next adventure!

▪️ 10:00 PM – New Year’s Eve Festivities: Kick off the New Year’s Eve celebrations with a campfire, scrumptious food, and music at the Stay.

Festive Fun: Enjoy an evening filled with fire sparklers, sky lanterns, cake cutting on the stay, and lots more to make this New Year's Eve your most memorable one yet! Enjoy the campfire, share stories and experiences with fellow travellers, have dinner, and retire for the night.

What is included and not in the without-transportation package.

You will have to reach all the places on time as per the itinerary, by yourself. You will also need to synchronize your arrival times with the trek leader in case the Tripbae vehicle's journey experiences any delays. Other than that, accommodation, guidance, permits, and the rest which are mentioned in the included list are included.

Your money will be refunded within 2-3 business days

How will I be communicated with once the payment is done?

You would be added to a WhatsApp group a day or two before the trip date where all the last-minute information is shared. An email is also sent including important information about the trip.

Who can I contact for personal issues on or before the trip?

The trek lead . His/her phone number would be in the What’s App group you are added to.

Is it safe for females?

The safety and security of women/girls are paramount to us. Hence, it's entirely safe for women/girls to participate in our treks and travels. Our trek leaders always accompany the group, offering constant assistance and direction. Our campsites are thoroughly secure and provide a safe lodging environment. In addition, our female trek leaders often join our treks.

Can I reschedule my trek to a future date if I am unable to attend on the day of departure?

Unfortunately , it's not feasible to reschedule your trek to a future date if you're unable to attend on the designated day, regardless of the circumstances (like family emergencies, health problems, or work commitments). Are solo travellers allowed to join?

Yes , solo travelers are more than welcome on our trips. The beauty of solo travel lies in the chance to connect with individuals from varied backgrounds. As the journey unfolds, unfamiliar faces become friends, cultivating a feeling of fellowship. Thus, we strongly encourage solo travelers to join our exciting ventures.

What is the best time to go to Munnar?

The best time to visit Munnar for most tourists is during the winter season (December to February) when the weather is cool and pleasant. However, if you enjoy the monsoon rains and lush green landscapes, you might opt for a visit during the monsoon season (June to September). Spring is also a beautiful time to visit for nature enthusiasts, while summer is the least recommended due to the warmer temperatures.
